I agree with you Agnes. People outside of our country are not privy to the huge struggles people are enduring. The middle class is almost wiped out. Every day I see people asking for simple things like used Christmas decorations so their kids have something to put on the tree. Housing has become unaffordable. $1500 for a small one bed apt in my town. Lots of stores going out of business. My neighboring state legalized pot because it “boosts” the economy. The little town north of me is filled with pot shops. Even the old bank is a pot shop. The pot is not regulated and other things are added to it. Mental illness and crime has taken a huge uptick. Young people are covered in tattoos and body piercings. It’s gross. Some evil force is trying to numb their brains. “Because it’s legal it’s ok” is the new thinking with young folks. It’s cheaper to Not get married because single Moms get food stamps, health care etc. our world is upside down, so many people living in cars. They don’t think about politics or Zionists, or Trump. They only think about how to make payments on their five credit cards. Well I need to get off this bandwagon. Something’s about ready to snap, I’m not sure if politics can fix this. Yes katfalls, same here. The going rate (that people say is the new cheap)for a one room apt in my state is $1800. What are families to do? We don't focus on the global picture because at the moment we can't catch a break. My eldest daughter now lives with us as she can no longer make it on her own.
Our oldest son lives with us. He's single, never married, is a truck driver and gone most of the time. Didn't make sense for him to pay over $1000 a month for an apt.

Agnes I certainly don't judge America. We are facing the same issues here. We have uncontrolled immigration, lots of homelessness. There is a lot of anger here because those who come into the country get full social welfare and accommodation. Irish people seem to be the last in line. It seems to be the same playbook everywhere. I really hope Trump is able to turn things around. We all need that.
Exactly, I feel we are all on survival mode in our families. Inflation is causing so much stress. Many of our young adults live at home and work because they can’t afford cars, groceries or rent etc. Frankly, it helps us older parents too because, they help with bills a bit too. We do what we can..
It's happening here too. Every other street corner is a pot shop. My granddaughter still lives at home after graduating college and getting an excellent job but it's an hour's commute. She can't afford an apartment. Everything is so pricey.
As you must know, Canada is in so much trouble under Trudeau. He has ruined our country. We have the same things here, pot shops everywhere, unaffordable housing and rent, can't afford groceries, etc. and Trudeau is in Brazil telling people that its too bad about not being able to feed your kids or keep warm cause it costs too much (carbon tax here is killing us), but we MUST think about climate change!
