20240801_190546.jpg I feel like a Gypsy today having upper stakes and moved to a new camp site about 30 miles away. I hope to travel for the next six weeks or so up until the Autumn round the north of Ireland. I am taking it all in as this may be my last time camping in Ireland before the big move to Spain.

It takes quite a bit of work moving and I feel guilty as my mind and hear wandered fromGod and the things of God. But it reminds me of what a great privilege it is ing retired and having all this time for prayer. Most people never get to have all this.

A farmer pulled up alongside me in his four by four and began talking to me this afternoon. I was little surprised and did not pay enough attention, it was only when We left him I realised the poor man might have been lonely and wanted a nice longg chat. Many farmers are very, very lonely up here in the hills, poor man.

    Thank you.

May you get to heaven half and hour before the devil knows you're going there.

With so much beauty and so many faithful daily Mass goers why would you leave Ireland. Why not find a cozy place in one of these spectacular spots? I just have to ask. These land scapes are breathtaking. The churches are exquisite. Such an air of holiness!!

I was just at a Church today with a St. Therese statue exactly like that one. Padraig have you ever read her book, “ Last Conversations?” Called originally, the Little Yellow Book, written by Pauline her sister. Incredible graces and courage as she was dying.

Yes, I think I have read it several times.
She was a real warrior. One big take I drew from it was that she knew she would be going to heaven and after her death be declared a saint.

When she said, 'I never knew it was possible to suffer so much!! Never, never, never!!' It give me a chill. She had the most horrendous death. They say it is like constantly swallowing glass

It reminds me of the death of St Tereasa of the Andes

One Carmelite nun said,' The Holy ones always get hard deaths!'

I suspect this is true and why their intercession is so strong in heaven.
