Hi everyone I am struggling and dont feel Gods love for me. I am in distress and dont know what to do. I go to mass daily and have started adoration but am experiencing terrible darkness.
You are in my prayers daily Sanctus. Someone mentioned a priest in a post here who lives in Ireland--a Fr Pat Collins who might be the one to help you. I don't know but maybe it is worth looking into....does anyone out there have the info? I prayed for you at adoration today. I wish I had answers for you.
I'm fighting a strong battle and don't know how to keep going. I went to mass and confession today but see bad things when I open religious books that I believe are directed at me. I wish God would help me out of this.
One day at a time, Sanctus. Pray often: Ps 68:1 Let God arise and his enemies be scattered; let them that hate him flee before his face. For Jesus is with me and I am protected by the Mantle of Mary!
I went thru something similar to this a few years ago. I don't know if this will help you but here goes: stop reading anything that's really heavy because it's not a help at this time. A good and holy priest explained to me to keep things very simple and to ask for grace to trust more in the Lord's mercy. There is a confraternity I came across, set up by the monks at Silverstream Priory, called the THE CONFRATERNITY OF JESUS, KING OF LOVE. I joined and I pray the small prayer everyday. It's been a great help. Maybe something for you to consider. ~~ Keeping you in my prayers~~ https://www.cenacleosb.org/rexamoris
Hi everyone. I'm struggling with darkness again today and finding things very difficult. I feel afraid of the future and am worried about my soul. I go to mass regularly and recieve all the sacraments of the Church . Im trying my best but feel under attack spiritually. Sometimes I wonder have I done something wrong along the way. I was enrolled in the Brown scapular last week and am trying my best to please God. .
Sanctus, I am praying for you and asking the Lord to grant you His promised Peace. You know, there are millions of Catholics who are minimalists, not even attending Holy Mass on Sunday. When was the last time they have been to Confession? Their waywardness has brought them to a point of indifference, yet they cling to the name of Catholic out of some vague sense of identity. You have striven to remain faithful through prayers, pilgrimages, and the sacraments. In the midst of your personal struggle offer your distress up for these blind souls. As you wait upon the Lord such perseverance will help save them from hell.
I find to some extent I do struggle , but to be honest the times I don't seem to struggle cause me most concern. We are never closer to the Good Lord than when we are nailed with Him on the Cross. It is like the times we are trying to climb a High Mountain and are forced to start crawling to our knees. It is too much. Yet at is at these very same times we are climbing the best. The very highest. It was at the very lowest point of my life I met Our Lady. The Old Rugged Cross.
