I would be out of that place so fast you could see smoke burning offa my shoes...and I'd never be back.
    Ever.

Unfortunately, many of us will find it hard to find a parish occupied by a priest prepared to take a stand on this and can expect such a priest to be quickly removed-remember that poor priest down in Kerry, was it last year or the year before? In rural areas, options are fewer and distances are greater.

Better to Cross bridges when you come to them.

    Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own

The clergy will have to decide for themselves; stay at the foot of the Cross with Our Lady and the sinners in their care, runaway and hide, perhaps to fight another day OR, take that small bag of silver - if the 3rd way is taken there will be no hiding from Him Who knows all....

As for us, courage is naught but fear that has said its prayers....God bless ~

Some of us are very likely to be unable to find a non-sodomitic Mass. The brave priests are so scarce and isolated, they'll just be cancelled. I fear most bishops are either homosexuals or fully sympathetic to those who are. Maybe, I'm paranoid, but just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're all not out to get you.

Today certainly has enough trouble of its own, but your advice and the supporting scripture, is bang on the money.

It looks like this will be the last Christmas before the "great reset" in the church.

Our Fore Father for many centuries had a thousand time less spiritual aid than we have. Yet they persevered. We will too.

I know. That's the hardest most heart wrenching part. And yet Bishops like Archbishop Chaput shine like a Christmas star. I thank God for him and pray more will step up.

Thank God I am in a much better mood tonight than I was this morning. God has renewed my hope. It was a bitter, bitter blow coming from Rome but darkness will never , ever overcome the light; though I admit Papa Frankie is a huge, huge pain in the ass. :);)

I may be mistaken but I don't think that anyone has mentioned the 'coincidence' that the Church of England has within the last few days given permission for their clergy to conduct 'same sex blessings'. In their case, it has taken years to get the necessary majorities in the three 'houses' of their synod (Bishops, clergy and laity) to pass the necessary motion whereas in our case it appears to have been achieved at the sole fiat of the Pope. The difference being that they do not obfuscate the issue but are open about it whereas the 'permission' in our case is hedged about with if's and but's but having pretty much the same outcome.

My guess is a similar decree might follow about Communion for those in irregular heterosexual relationships, then female deacons and then ........ I dread to think.

When I saw a South American Jesuit walk out onto the Vatican loggia, I guessed that some of this was coming but it has still shaken me. I am beginning to think that Francis has been using the German synod as a 'stalking horse' and that everything they approve is about to be decreed upon us, maybe with Francis' own tame synod's enthusiastic approval.

When it comes to the bishops and priests, this ought to 'separate the men from the boys' and the sheep from the goats and I think that there may be some surprises as to which show themselves to be which.

It's strange that Francis didn't even wait for the conclusion of the Synod next year to launch this document...

All this "rush"made me wonder if we would see signs of a possible liturgical reform on the horizon soon—maybe before December 31st.
