Mark 13:8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-67756413 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-67756228
I am broken-hearted and want to cry out as well. My spiritual director was fired. They say he has resigned, but he was fired. He’s a conservative priest who refused to bless a gay couple. We are in deep trouble. The Bishops are obeying the wrong church goers. To have made this poor priest resign is so harmful. He had lines of people wanting to confess with him. His sermons were always so spot on. He helped so many. I don’t think parishioners will just silently accept this.
No point getting upset about it. It's not as if we didn't see it coming since Amoris Laetitia was issued. It includes blessings for couples in adulterous unions. No doubt some of his favourite Bishops have already had their rainbow vestments dry cleaned in preparation for the "we won't call it marriage" ceremonies that officially they're not permitted to celebrate knowing full well that nothing will be done to stop them. At least the actual doctrine of the Church hasn't been changed. They'll just contradict it in pastoral practice as they have been doing for years and now they have a magisterial document to twist the arms of priests who see it for the sham that it is. How long will it take for the first newspaper headline about nasty Fr. Rigid who won't submit to the demands of some Catholic follower of the Gospel of Elton John? Not long I suspect. The Germans will be thrilled but will put out some hypocritical statement about how disappointed they are. It's a long document but I suppose it takes a lot of words to hide the underlying message that would read something like "I would if I could but if I did my successor would have grounds for issuing an anathema against me". I know I shouldn't but I got a good laugh from Michael Lofton's attempt to put lipstick on this pig. Michael is a real fanboy of Cardinal Fernandez (I guess he fancies Fernandez is in the running to be Pope Francis 11). He has dismissed as the worst kind of judgmental Protestants anyone who isn't as ecstatic as he is about this great act of mercy and defence of the Faith by Pope Francis. Apparently, practitioners of a sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance need to be comforted with the assurance that the real baddies are those who think that it's scandalous to bless the sinner and the near occasion of sin as one unit. But that's ok because Michael can judge us because he has mercifully urged his cultish following to pray for our conversion. We owe submission of intellect and will to this. All we can do is try but does that include deceiving ourselves into accepting evil as good? I've really tried to mend my ways regarding this shambolic papacy but the sheer hypocrisy of the document and the BS from people like Lofton has me wondering why God gave us the gift of reason if we're expected to suppress it out of obedience to blatant hypocritical pandering to worldly powers. Here's the Michael Lofton video. It's like a weird comedy sketch:
This reminds me of a Prophecy from Our Lady of Good Success (or was it La Sallete) that a decision would be made in the Church that would make many old, faithful Pastors weep. Ahh it was from Blessed Anne Emmerich on the False Church: https://onepeterfive.com/anne-catherine-emmerich-and-the-two-popes/ “I saw also the relationship between two popes … I saw how baleful would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city of Rome. The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness… “I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps.”
One thing about Lofton that really strikes me is his very bad temper. He is always in a rage. IN this he reminds me of Martin Luther who was constantly going into tantrums. https://www.jstor.org/stable/44817116
Interestingly, Padraig just quoted Anna K. Emmerich regarding this matter: "I had another vision of the great tribulation. It seems to me that a concession was demanded from the clergy which could not be granted. I saw many older priests, especially one, who wept bitterly. A few younger ones were also weeping. But others, and the lukewarm among them, readily did what was demanded. It was as if people were splitting into two camps."
He's a reformed rad trad. Reminds me of a reformed smoker who didn't care who was downwind of the smoke and now believes that kicking the habit gave him a special gift to badmouth all smokers, even those who have an occasional cigarette - in the spirit of charity, of course. In fairness to hm, he gave up a fulltime job to devote himself to apologetics. Some of his work is good but I reckon he's in no danger of making the FBI's list of Catholic domestic terrorists.
We now have a report above of a good priest ruthlessly fired for refusing to bless sodomy. We all know there have been innumerable cases of priests who sodomised young boys, often repeatedly, who were not fired. In fact, many of them were actively protected by their superiors, to such a degree that this was obviously policy. How deeply has the Church been infiltrated? There is no lack of evidence that at least one pope might have been an active homosexual. Nothing would surprise me, now. So many bishops, not all thankfully, are so handringingly effete. So bloody nice. It needs to be remembered that this nonsense of homosexual 'couples' is a very new development. Not much older than that, as admitted by the notorious homosexual anti-philosopher, Michel Foucault, is the modern idea of homosexual 'identity'. Before that, all history only talks of vile acts committed by men. All this fuss about blessing homosexual couples and it's supposed to have nothing whatsoever to do with their implicit sodomy, but it has never been suggested, to my knowledge, that siblings who innocently live together, through want of finding a spouse, be blessed. Sin is one thing and Christ died for it. He did not die for those who would bless it.
I think reflecting on Prophecy it is about to get loads and loads worse I am afraid. The Secret of LA Sallette for instance speaks of, 'Two worm ridden Popes', which suggests another Frankie is on the way. Also from the prophetic descriptions we are just at the beginning of a big slide downwards. May God have mercy on us all. But on a positive note it will all turn out wonderfully well with the Church emerging better than ever. I watched a blind lady catching a bus this morning to go down town for I suppose to do her Christmas shopping. She looked so brave and confident. It helped put things in context for me. It gave me hope and reminded of what others are going through so bravely. Must buckle up.
I am afraid many Catholics both clergy and lay will either leave the Church or go into Schism. I don't really see how this can be avoided. Africans and people in Asia will not take this well.
Thank God we have our Lady. We are safe under her mantle - let us put on sackcloth and ashes and pray the rosary often for as you say Padraig, things are going to get much worse. Let us take refuge in our Lady's Immaculate Heart, sure refuge of sinners.
I hardly slept a wink last night . I tried mediation but things seem so dark. It is surprising how badly this all effects me. We could all see this coming miles and miles of with far, far worse to come. But I suppose for anyone who loves Our Mother the Church this is a huge, huge Cross. But lately , praying the Stations of the Cross I have been thinking how Jesus just kept on trudging along step after step even picking himself up after falling down three times. What else can we do but keep on trudging along step by step upwards towards the Calvary and Crucifixation of our dear Holy Mother, the Church.
Can one go into Schism by staying exactly where you are? Is not the homo-church self-schismatising? If I agree with Bergoglio, am I not leaving the One, True, Holy, Roman and Apostolic Church to enter into schism with a bunch of heretics (I think they're worse than heretics, these people put Luther in the ha'penny place)? If we stay right where we are, we will stand with the Church Triumphant and every real living Catholic.
I have a serious fear that the church in Brazil will suffer some kind of split. There are many people who dislike this pope because of the blatant support he has given to the communist Lula da Silva over the years. Now this issue of "blessings for sodomy" becomes gasoline thrown on the fire.
If those Brazilians who reject communism and continue to regard sodomy as a grave sin find that their 'official' 'church' has rejected them, maybe they should consider themselves fortunate.
