I know there are 340 Irish Peace keeping troops out there at the moment working along side soldiers from Hungary and Poland (all Catholic countries) as part of the UN.. I pray to Our Blessed Lady that they be brought home at once before it is too late.

But that would require a bit of commonsense from the Irish Government which would require a great, great miracle. Poor , poor young Irish soldiers..kept there by idiots.

I believe it is why the last two public messages from Medjugorie have been very somber ones asking we all pray now for peace.

We certainly do have the right to criticise any government or group of people who persecute others. We shouldn't be selective in our criticisms. We don't know how Iran would have turned out had there not been a coup. We do know the consequences of that coup yet the people responsible for it have never been held to account. That's the Rules Based Order. We do have freedom to criticise our governments but that freedom is being eroded - an erosion being orchestrated by the same powers responsible for exporting "freedom and democracy" through violent regime changes. When something is wrong it's wrong irrespective of whether we agree with the perpetrator on other matters.

Yes, the Jews are the apple of God's eye and they will be converted after the full complement of the Gentiles have been grafted onto the vine. Meanwhile, Jews have no special right to oppress or persecute others. Israel certainly has the right to self defence but that right isn't exclusive to nation States. All human beings have that right. Israel certainly has the right to respond to terrorist attacks but not by committing war crimes. All people have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. Labelling people sub-human doesn't change that.

Zionist Israel is far from squeaky clean. Zionism is not biblical. What is biblical is that Jerusalem is the harlot of Revelation which suggests that we can expect a lot of turmoil featuring Israel between now and the Second Coming of Jesus. The message I have been trying to get through to you is that Western leaders, with Zionist collusion, have used people's faith to divide and conquer. That's evil. I think that Pope Francis sees the evil for what it is, which probably explains his support for the Abrahamic complex or whatever they call the place where they have built a church, a mosque and a synagogue. It's time for people of faith to stop letting themselves be manipulated into conflicts by secular, atheistic powers. I also think that the agreement with China could have something to do with the Vatican recognising that the world is on the brink of a shift in the balance of power.

Whatever happens, we know the ending. It's the locution that AED got at adoration: Our God reigns.

We cannot be selective in our criticism, which is why I recalled the fact that Iran persecutes Christians since there are people who use the growing persecution of Western governments to alleviate the guilt of Islamic theocracies in the persecution of Christians. The freedom of Christians is eroding in the West but you and I still have a certain freedom to criticize these governments. In fact, if Iran had the military power of the United States, it would not only overthrow opposing governments but also promote the persecutions it already carries out within its territory in other countries. As for Jerusalem being the harlot of the apocalypse, this is not a fact but a personal interpretation; since there are many Catholic interpretations that place Imperial Rome or apostate Rome at the end of time; in fact, Saint John Bosco used this term for the city of Paris.

I put Saint Paul's prophecy about the conversion of the Jews to highlight that the Iranian supreme leader's statement comparing Israel to a cancer that must be exterminated is something that goes directly against God's purpose, which is the existence of the Jewish people in the end times. This has nothing to do with defending the Zionist state of Israel, which is a secular government like any other.

The Vatican's obscure agreement with the Chinese government is in the same context as Francis' encouragement for Biden to receive Holy Communion even though he is an abortionist. It's simply giving holy things to dogs. In 2016, he said during the election campaign that Trump was not a Christian for wanting to build a wall on the border, but he ignored the fact that his opponent Hillary was in favor of abortion.

At least on the issue of the war in the Middle East, the Pope is acting in a very lucid way.

Donald Trump has feuded with other candidates, reporters and TV networks during his run for president.

Now, the front-runner for the Republican nomination is feuding with Pope Francis.

On Thursday, the pontiff criticized Trump for the proposal at the heart of his campaign: a pledge to keep people from crossing into the United States illegally by building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

"I'd just say that this man is not Christian if he said it in this way," Francis told reporters in a midflight press conference after a trip to Mexico.

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," Francis said, according to The Associated Press' translation of the press conference.

as NPR reported after his visit to Liberty University last month:

"There have been some missteps along the way. Last year, he told an Iowa evangelical gathering he had never asked God for forgiveness — a central tenet of the Christian faith — and he repeated that Sunday on CNN. He's declined to cite his favorite Bible verse or even his favorite testament. And the Presbyterian church he says he attends in Manhattan has said he's not an active member."

Trump still won the endorsement of the school's president, Jerry Falwell Jr., after that appearance.

For his part, Francis has not shied away from politics since becoming pope. While simply repeating long-held church positions on the dangers of capitalism and globalization, concern for the environment, and other social justice issues, he has repeatedly made headlines over the course of his career as pontiff and, before that, cardinal, for challenging political leaders.

saying immigrants crossing the border "are 'cannon fodder,' persecuted and threatened when they try to flee the spiral of violence and the hell of drugs."

Francis even floated the idea of drawing attention to immigration concerns by entering the U.S. via the Mexican border when he made his first visit to the country last fall.

Iran’s “elected government” would have most likely turned out to be radical like today’s Iran. I’m not justifying the CIA coup, but it was one of the few coup’s that worked better for Iran. The Shah was a much better alternative. It’s a shame it all ended thanks to Jimmy. Carter was a disaster in foreign policy. Most Democrats are.

I discovered that Iranians around the world celebrate King Cyrus Day on October 29th as a way of praising his military and political legacy; I find it interesting that the dynasty overthrown in 1979 used the title "King of kings" which was used by this king who is also revered by the Jews (for abolishing the Babylonian captivity) and by the Zoroastrians for having been an adherent of this faith. A king converging the Iranian people with two monotheistic religions seems like an interesting prospect of a prophetic scenario for the future.

By all means criticise Iran's persecution of Christians but Iran doesn't persecute Christians in Israel/Palestine. Given enough power, I suppose that Iran could do everything you say but that's speculation because it doesn't have that power and probably never will. Hamas is not an Iranian proxy. Hezbollah is Iran's proxy and Hezbollah isn't holding Israeli hostages. As far as I know, they operate mainly out of Lebanon and they probably fought against ISIS in Syria. So, why was Iran being blamed almost from the beginning of the Hamas invasion and violence? We know that Egypt warned Israel and it's most unlikely that the Americans were unaware of that warning. Israel monitors everything going into Gaza, yet they didn't know that Hamas had accumulated so many weapons? Sure, Hezbollah are being drawn into the conflict now but that's after the fact of the invasion. All of a sudden we're on the brink of a major war and it's all Iran's fault? It doesn't add up. Linsey Graham must think all his birthdays are coming together. It's beginning to look like the weapons of mass destruction excuse used to destroy Iraq.

Yes, there are different interpretations of the Harlot in Revelation. I'm inclined to the the minority view that Jerusalem is the Harlot. I could well be wrong about that but I'm not wrong about there being nothing biblical about modern, Zionist Israel. Do you believe that Rome rather than some secular or pagan power will be the beast? I don't. I think it will be the prevailing power of the day in a unipolar world that our "Freedom and Democracy" leaders want. Their dream could turn into a nightmare if a different power gets to impose its own rules based order. I suspect there will be precious little freedom or democracy irrespective of who comes out on top.

We don't know what's in the agreement with China. Without meaning any disrespect to the Holy Father, I think he would have made a better politician than Pope. Did he actually encourage Biden to receive Communion? He probably authorised it but I don't think we can be certain so we are obliged to give him the benefit of the doubt.

One of the advantages of democracy is that it leads the masses to believe that they have the power to change their government peacefully, and over time that becomes the accepted way to effect any changes. Even if the Shah was a better short-term option than the elected government, the coup deprived the Iranians of developing the democratic process in their country. When Muslims around the world wake up to how they have been used, the consequences could be very unpleasant.

The French around the world celebrate their bloody revolution. Some of the leaders committed an horrendous act of sacrilege in Notre Dame Cathedral which may be the reason St, John Bosco had Paris as the harlot. Modern France is less bloody and getting ever further from the France that prided itself on being the eldest daughter of the Church. The exorcists say that the demons are harder to get rid of in countries where the faith has been abandoned. The exorcists must be worked off their feet in France. But I suppose that's ok because they have freedom and democracy.

Thanks. I'm afraid this is turning into a two person discussion between Luan and me which is effectively hijacking the thread. I actually agree with Luan a lot more than he realises but sometimes I can be like a dog with a bone. I'll give it a rest now because no matter how much we talk about it we won't save a single life in the Holy Land.

One last point that I need to stress. I admire so much about America and I know that Americans are the most kind hearted and generous people. What frustrates me is that a succession of poor leaders is giving the opposite impression to people around the world. They're deceiving much of the world. Worse than that, they're lying to their own people.
