In April 2011, Pope Benedict XVI approved the petition allowing for the Beatification of Venerable Elena Aiello. She was declared Blessed on September 14, 2011 (Feast of the Exaultation of the Holy Cross) at 17.30 in Piazza dei Bruzi in Cosenza, Italy. When I look at these prophecies, it makes me think about Fatima, Akita, Garabandal,..and Medjugorje, it makes sense that Our Lady would be asking for prayer and fasting twice a week for the past 30+ yrs. How much the world has changed since these prophecies,..and not for the better.
I know, this was said before 1961, just think how more evil the world has become, and how humanity truely deserves Divine Justice.

I thought the same thing. Since the time of Fatima 1917 our Blessed Mother has been saying how grievous man's sins are. I look back in the 60's when I was growing up and think how innocent, how simple life was then. And then I read these messages were from the 50's and how our Lord and Blessed Mother spoke of how evil the world was then. What was I missing? What was so bad then compared to what my children see now. I can see the outright disgust in many fashions today, I can see the sinfulness of atheism today and man's pursuit for temporal satisfactions. But things were so simple in the 50's and 60's.................. so I thought. Did I grow up in simple life in an excluded world or what?
Could the Garabandal messages of Communism returning be any more pronounced than this? Now we more clearly understand the Garabandal message "When communism is at its worst the Warning will come".
‘Make it known to all men that, repentant, they must return to God, and, in doing so, may hope for pardon, and be saved from the just vengeance of a scorned God’. “In so saying Our Lord God disappeared. Then the Madonna appeared to me. She was dressed in black, with seven swords piercing Her Immaculate Heart. Upon reading about the seven swords piercing he Immaculate Heart, I am reminded of the prayer that our Blessed Mother taught the children at Kibeho, Rwanda, "The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary" and how she stressed to say it often.
As horrifying as the messages are from our Blessed Mother to Blessed Elena, I draw great comfort in this: “Spread the devotion to my Immaculate Heart, in order that many souls maybe conquered by my love and that many sinners may return to my Maternal Heart. Do not fear, for I will accompany with my maternal protection my faithful ones, and all those who accept my urgent warnings, and they — especially by the recitations of my Rosary — will be saved.”
, SOME NATIONS WILL BE PURIFIED, WHILE OTHERS WILL DISAPPEAR ENTIRELY’. This fits perfectly with Fatima's 'Annihilation of Nation's'
‘There must be more prayers and penances from the souls faithful to Me, in order to appease the just wrath of God, and to temperate the just sentence of punishment, SUSPENDED on earth by the intercession of My Beloved Mother, who is also the Mother of all men’. This also fits in with the apparition in Fatima of the angel about to strike the earth with a flaming sword but could not when it came into contact with our Lady. This is a mother who is holding off the just anger of God pleading for us to listen to her before it's to late,...I do think it's late We should be prepared,..we have had enough warnings

SCOURGE IS NEAR AT HAND, The justice of God is weighing upon the world. Mankind, defiled in the mire, soon will be washed in its own blood, by disease; by famine; by earthquakes; by cloudbursts, tornadoes, floods, and terrible storms; and by war. But men ignore all these warnings, and are unwilling to be convinced that my tears (Weeping Madonna of Sicily?), are plain signs to serve notice that tragic events are hanging over the world, and that the hours of great trials are at hand’ .Most of these warnings are passed off by the world as not from God,rather global warming.
“The times are grievous. The whole world is in turmoil, because IT HAS BECOME WORSE THAN AT THE TIME OF THE DELUGE!” This would suggest we are not experiencing a 'springtime'

Bread and water is what Our Lady asks for,..question is are we doing it? For myself I am not consistent enough. I think we all set out well intentioned, but when it comes down to it ,..not so easy to do. If the seers have been doing this fasting twice a week for all these years,..that would give us some idea as to the seriousness of the times we are living. Not only that, it is a reminder of Our Ladys request in Fatima that many sacrifices are needed in order to save souls that would be lost otherwise.
If we take Russia as another name for Communism, than this is what is happening in Europe right now. I see the rise of millitant communism, disguised as millitant anarchist groups or as civil movements for the new society. See Greece, Slovenia. As I follow them, they are based on same flawed ideology of communism and are driven by extreme hatred toward the Catholic church ( I follow their statements in Slovenia and I am concerned.)
