They are heading down a perilous path. Obedience will come into play, and I pray that the Holy Spirit will bless Bishop Strickland with the wisdom and courage to persevere through this storm.
Just when you thought things could not get any worse the seat belt lights come on, the engines stop, the plane goes into free fall and the steward ess asks everyone to put their heads between their legs. It doesn't get any worse than this. It's an open Declaration of War on Faithful Catholics by Satan's offspring in the Vatican.
Oh no sorry for the confusion. Our priest added his own intercession prayer at the end of the general intercessions and stated that this was from him and not the Bishop. His prayer was for Jimmy Buffet who had just passed the day prior and he read the end of the lyrics of the song "One Particular Harbor" which were actually very beautiful and I had not understood them until that moment. What I gathered from that comment though was that I guess the parishes all get some general intercession prayers from the Bishop and I feel those are starting to point toward a change in church thought on mainly how it is going in the direction toward the LGTBQ+ agenda. They are sounding very concerning to me in how they are being written right now around accepting of sexual identity and preference. Fine we can all be loving and welcoming and I agree with that 100% as Jesus did to, but we cannot condone the sexual practices and that is the tone I am getting from these prayers as well as some of the many disturbing things PF is saying. "One Particular Harbor" - snipet of the song But now I think about the good times Down in the Caribbean sunshine In my younger days I was so bad Laughin' about all the fun we had I seen enough to feel the world spin Mixin' different oceans meetin' cousins Listen to the drummers and the night sounds Listen to the singers make the world go 'round Lakes below the mountain Flow into the sea Like oils applied to canvas They permeate through me And there's that one particular harbor Sheltered from the wind Where the children play on the shore each day And all are safe within Most mysterious calling harbor So far but yet so near I can see the day when my hair's full gray And I finally disappear
Archbishop Fernandez is attempting to take a public approach which paints himself as a reasonable Defender of the Faith. Let the upcoming outcome of the Synod reveal what is really going on. It will be over in 6 weeks. At this point, the fear-mongering on our end is very loud; we need to remember there is another session of the universal Synod in 2024. My guess is that the ones attempting to undermine the Church will strive for limited but true gains this fall in order to put conservative Faithful in a bad light, and then pull out all the stops in October 2024. Remember, the Masons publicly formed some 300 years ago. What's another year to them. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Right, Doctrine of the Holy Father or Doctrine of the Church? He might actually have said the "truth"...
Yes, I was confused. As I recall, Archbishop Fernandez's appointment to the new prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of Faith was not without controversy.
In a human sense I can sympathise with the Bishops keeping quiet about all that is going on. They are very, very busy men with more than enough on their plates. It is very human to want to avoid conflict with all this entails. But the bottom line is that they are shepherd's appointed to defend their sheep against wolfs. This is what they are there for. If they don't do this, of what use are they?
With the present incumbent in the Vatican there is a real danger of a complete collapse an implosion of the Church. We are in a worse position than during the Arian crisis. Because only a handful of bishops and cardinals have the courage of their convictions to speak out. Many follow the doctrine of Francis like slavish sheep. Some are maybe waiting in the wings but hostile takeover is a useful descriptive phrase for the synod - Perhaps the warning comes to correct the conscience of the hierarchy as well as the rest of the world.
Thanks so much for this article, DeGaulle. My son, Fr. Benjamin (ordained in 2014), is a wonderful young man with a prodigious intellect. My IQ is above 100. His must be much higher (blame Geralyn). He was first in his class in the seminary. I've shared some concerns about the Pope with him; he wants to avoid going down a rabbit hole, though he has expressed distraught over the Abu Dhabi document. I'll send this to him. One can throw condemnations at the Pope about this or that which distress me, but the above article helps me grasp the faulty philosophical underpinnings that have led to his undermining of truth. Lord have Mercy!
