I find each of the Stations is such a window into the Eternal. It's true some of them spring out on you, like the Mysteries of the Rosary. For me it is Jesus meeting His Mother.

Fulton Sheen wisely says of this that because Mary loved the most she suffered the Most.

    I can't imagine.

Padraig, your lilies of the valley may not have died. Maybe it’s just the foliage that died back like it does here in the Fall. I bet that you will see them come up again next Spring. Hoping

I am very fond of lily of the valley. We had a whole garden full of them at our first home. I enjoyed making bouquets of them and their lovely fragrance was delightful in our home. When we moved to our present house nearly forty years ago I was determined to grow them again, so I planted many bulbs throughout our backyard, but sadly I never saw them bloom. Two weeks ago I was raking away some leaves at the edge of the woods behind our house and I saw the sun shining on some tiny flowers. Upon closer inspection I discovered it was one of the pale pink lily of the valley plants I had planted decades ago! Not quite sure how this happened but the sight of them brought me much joy. :)

So pretty. I have a smaller Mary like yours, in my front garden. I love the roses. :)

If you are ever at the small graveyard at Christ the King say a prayer for my mum as that is where she rests.

Amazing I just noticed in the photo you posted Padraig a family friend who played and sang at both my mum & dad's funeral. Signs all around.

This photo has touched my heart so much. I was one of eight teenagers who cycled around Ireland in 1980 on a fundraising event to raise funds for the building of that church.

I didn't know. I am sorry they don't use the old Church , St Mary's more. It is amazing how many go to daily mass. Not just here but everywhere.everywhere

We hear so many bad things. But a daily mass over is a wonder to behold.

The priests are very good too. I recall the young one I saw going into ecstasy during Mass.

    Was that recently Padraig?

There was a young priest there used to hold the Eucharist up for two minutes or so and it was incredible.

He moved to USA last year it the year before.
