Great news but I think this is not relevant for this subject. A saint yes, something else I doubt it.

I believe it is an editorial clarification.

These messages look very different from all the confirmed ones. I'm trying to investigate, but it seems the Church never stated a positon about this.

Have you ever heard of the "Jacarei apparitions"?

"Amanhã" - adverb of time, meaning 'tomorrow' alone. "O amanhã" - noun, meaning "the future".

A quick research indicates "Jacarei" as false. So far, nothing about Pedro Regis. I have never heard about it before, that's why I'm confused.

  7. I'd say not only that, but protestant-catholic, jewish-islam, you name it--it will be on the board. But the real OBJECTIVE is to wipe out Christianity.

Dear children, on your knees and in prayer, adore my Son Jesus in the Eucharist. In your prayer to Jesus, listen to Him. He wishes to speak to you. Prostrate yourselves before Him and truly adore Him. Your strength and your victory is in the Eucharist. Before Jesus, pray for the Church. Pray for Pope Francis. The Church is going toward a sorrowful future. Decisions will antagonize many, and the way of Calvary will be sorrowful. I am your Mother and I love you. Courage. This is the message which I bring you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for allowing me to gather you here once again. I give you my blessing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Peace be with you.

Dear children, bend your knees in prayer. A decision will be made and there will be great confusion in the palace (the Vatican). I am your Sorrowful Mother and I suffer because of what is coming for you. Remain firm in the faith. Stay with Jesus. Love and defend the Church. Whatever happens, do not forget: God above all. You still have long years of difficult trials. Courage. The Lord loves you and walks with you. This is the message which I bring you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for allowing me to gather you here once again. I give you my blessing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Peace be with you.

I am sorry Peter, but a holy priest told me if a visionary was saying he was receiving locutions/messages from the blessed mother, was wrong about one thing then you can't believe anything he is saying ,outside of orthodox catholic teaching. I never knew he considered himself to be a prophet.

From the beginning Fr. Gobbi has been under the care of a spiritual director, one who judged his locutions to be authentic and who determined which of the messages would be published. Contrary to some published reports, Fr. Gobbi has never been subjected to any other formal scrutiny. Two instances are sometimes attested to the contrary. The first concerns the changing of the name of the book from Our Lady Speaks to Her Beloved Priests, which was done so as not to imply the certain authenticity of the messages. This represented nothing more than prudent reserve, typical in such matters, and was not a formal action of any entity in the Church.
The second instance is a letter from an official of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith asking Father Gobbi to state explicitly that the messages are merely his own meditation. Fr. Gobbi has said that in good conscience he could not deny what he believed to be true. Seeking clarification of his responsibilities, he sought counsel from a higher authority in the Holy See and was assured that this letter was merely a request by the monsignor who wrote it and not an act of the Congregation. Nonetheless, it is perpetuated by some as judgment of the Holy See condemning Fr. Gobbi. In reality, the Marian Movement of Priests continues to meet regularly in Rome and elsewhere with the permission and participation of bishops.
Unless a condemnation is warranted for the good of the faithful, the authentication of mysticism usually takes place during a canonization process, after the mysticism is obviously concluded (because the person has died) and it can be viewed in the context of the person's entire life. During life it generally stands on the witness of responsible persons, such as a spiritual director, the fame of sanctity of the alleged mystic and the fruits. This is somewhat different from the phenomenon of an apparition, which has a discrete beginning and end, and usually occurs independent of the stage of prayer life of the person receiving it. Upon its conclusion an apparition can be judged by the Church as an event in itself, as was the case at Lourdes and Fátima. The mystic, however, finds himself involved in phenomenon bound up with his own spiritual perfection and related to his growth in prayer, a process only concluded at death. Unless there is something to be condemned, it is after death that it is usually judged by the Church, if at all.
The final judgment of the alleged mysticism of the Fr. Gobbi rests, therefore, with the Church. In his favor, however, are the opinion of his spiritual director, his own zeal to promote Consecration to the Immaculate Heart and fidelity to the Magisterium, the great numbers of lay, religious and priestly vocations strengthened, and in some cases saved, through the Marian Movement of Priests, and the good will shown him by very many members of the hierarchy, including the Pope, who has received him and encouraged him in his work on several occasions.

So they were "supposed locutions" from the Blessed Mother. I was in the MMP for a number of years along with my family. I watched Fr Gobbi's video several times about the triumph during the jubilee year 2000. Obviously it did not happen, unless I'm missing something, therefore false locution, correct?

It's not my purpose to argue for the en bloc validity of Fr Gobbi's locutions in general, and I can certainly understand those who felt disillusioned concerning the 'failure' of the Triumph to materialize in 2000. However, it should be said that the MMP still has very widespread support, with its numbers including members of the Magisterium, and that Benedict XVI's praise for Fr Gobbi at his death in 2011 was very generous. Given that his 'misses' are a secret for nobody, my takehome from this is that there may be more nuanced ways to look at the totality of his supposed locutions than an 'all or nothing' assessment. My personal opinion having read them all is that they are essentially genuine, but that on occasion some things may have got garbled in the course of transmission by the messenger. There's nothing illogical about this if you take into account that locutions seem to take several forms, one of which is wordless 'interior illumination' which the visionary then tries to reconstitute in language as best they can. It's not difficult to see how error and some subjective opinion could creep in here without any bad faith. Strict 'dictation' is not the only way in which messages are received.

Saying that Fr Gobbi (or any alleged mystic) is fallible doesn't imply that everything they have said is false as a result of occasional mistakes ... but it does mean that careful case-by-case discernment is essential.

I see the stock market bombed today and there is rioting in Brazil

I think Our Lady described it as, 'Burying you in Signs'.

The economic signals are something that ought to be plain obvious even to secular society. What has triggered the panic is the Federal Reserve's statement that the current stimulus package of 'quantitative easing' [read: essentially printing trillions of dollars by bond-buying] is going to come to an end. That comes as no surprise whatsoever to anyone who has been listening to independent economic analyses from the likes of David Stockman and Peter Schiff over the last few months; they have been calling out the fact that the current stock market boon is a bubble because the QE strategy is simply a confidence trick which isn't based on any genuine growth. It saved the Western World from a meltdown in 2008 when the banks failed, but seems to be ensuring a worse one in the imminent future. One of two things may happen, both equally dire:
    a) the Fed ends QE and eventually has to hike interest rates that are basically at 0% at the moment. Result - economic 'recovery' is killed stone dead.
    b) the Fed continues QE (devaluing the dollar) and the rest of the world, especially China, initiates a sell-off of an increasingly worthless currency. Result - America defaults on its debt, being unable even to afford the interest on its repayments.

It's not a question of 'if', but 'when' with all of this. From the way things are going, looks like sooner rather than later ...

It's funny, we Catholics can accept that a Doctor, a Lawyer , an architect or whoever can make a mistake. But when it comes to seerers and saints it is often a case of, 'One strike and you're out' .:D
I remember an interesting case in Austria a lady, gone to heaven long since who used to meet with and talk to the Holy Souls in purgatory. Her name was Maria Simma. I have not the least doubt that the lady was genuine.

So people used to come from far and wide to see Maria and check with her if their dead relatives were in heaven of purgatory still. Maria used to give an answer saying were they were and whether or not they were still in purgatory or not.

Of course a couple of gamesters came along pretending their granny or whomever was dead and asking poor Maria were she was. Maria, innocently told them she was in heaven , whilst of course granny was alive and kicking.

So it looked like Maria crashed and burned.:(

I was very perplexed by this as I knew in my heart Maria was the real McCoy but I wondered how she could have gone off the rails so badly.

So I prayed about this and asked for an answer.

It was explained to me by reference to a scripture passage:

    Deuteronomy 6:16

Do not put the LORD your God to the test as you did at Massah.

That the reason why things went of course was not because of Maria but because of the ones doing the, 'testing' and also how they did the test.

In the first place what was their authority to do so?

In the second place what right did they have to test God's servant, thinking that God could be put in some kind of semantic test tube?

    Matthew 12:39
He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Wicked and adulterous indeed!! My own feeling is folks who try these kinda tricks should be careful they don't get their fingers burnt , like ones who stick needles in visionaries when they are in a trance. ;)

I would say its better to judge things in the round and give them time, lots of time and prayer. No test tubes. No electronic gadgetry.

These protests were sparked by extreme-left parties, financed by the government, and grew out of control. Now the ruling party (PT) wants to take part of it.

The ruling party is explicitly communist and is tied to the Farc, Cuba, Venezuela and every other socialist party of the continent. The organization is called "Foro de São Paulo". Communism is taking over Latin America.

Last night I was discussing all the known apparitions with a friend. It appears the time for Garabandal prophecies is getting closer.

Sr Emmanuel of Medj has a wonderful book out interviewing her about the poor souls in purgatory. Very insightful.
