That's kind of a false assumption. Putin has bungled and underestimated this thing because he thought that Ukraine would've rolled over by now, so they didn't really put the whole force of the Russian military into it. The longer this goes on without accomplishing his goals, the more inept he looks as a "leader", and the more he opens himself to a coup or being removed by force. All it would take is for somebody to remove/replace Putin with somebody worse and it could go from the current intensity of conflict to something much much worse. Both sides are burning through weapons stockpiles, so it seems more and more likely that WMD may be deployed in desperation and/or to save face among the Russian oligarchy. The entire course of this war can flip on a dime at any moment, and I do believe what Holy Mother stated at La Salette.
Losing?!? Well, who's winning then??? Is it the ordinary Ukrainian people who are being transported across Europe as refugees! I see them here in Ireland in temporary accommodations. Or sleeping on airport floors... Is it young russian men being sent to the front line? Is it hospital patients across Europe that can't get seen by doctors because monies are being directed to funding war in Ukraine? Thanks, Caroline. To be honest, I don't much follow the day-to-day drama that our political leaders put out there for our entertainment. If I could find an ounce of integrity in any of them, I might pay more attention. I do look to see the possible fulfillment of prophecy but I'm so battle weary and stressed over this real-life version of battleship that I've thrown myself into the lives of my family, especially my grandchildren. I'm very grateful to all of the forum members who post the most accurate and important international news to keep in touch with this world, but I'm more grateful for all of the wonderful and uplifting spiritual gifts that God has given us that I find in abundance here. Even our struggles as Catholics, which we frequently air in this community, lets me know that we are not alone. So very thankful for all of you!
You misunderstood my comment. I happen to completely agree with you, and not Steve. The La Salette apparitions, as well as, La Fraudais (Marie Julie Jahenny), says Russia will over run Europe. So, Russia may look incompetent, but according to both these apparitions, Russia will strike hard. I have also thought if they oust Putin, we would get someone worse. Personally, I feel Putin is trying to bring this war to an end.
What is needed are the prayers of faithful Christians! We possess the key to peace for our Lord is the Prince of Peace. The West has abandoned Christianity and though Russia paints the veneer of faith, I can't say it is anymore than skin deep! Lord have Mercy!
Though I'm aware of pertinent prophecies, our personal responsibility is to fast and storm heaven and leave the rest to God.
