…Really, I feel I need a book…no, no, no….a short pamphlet ( a book would overwhelm me), on learning how to be more self sufficient, in regards to all being discussed in this particular thread. I am quite lacking in knowledge in this area. And, like others here and elsewhere, we are very low on funds, and perpetually behind in bills.
Mark1 can you be a little more specific? I'll try to help any way I can, or at least try to help point in the right direction.
…I tend to avoid posting much, though I do read various posts daily, and pray for all intentions. And when I do jump in, I’m often just kind of saying what’s on my mind, without really having a question ( typing before I think), and just overwhelmed with info that I just read on posts. Regarding specifics, short of prayer I really have no idea how to prepare for emergency situations, in terms of which foods, how much, how to make things from scratch and other such things. And I haven’t worked in years due to anxiety and such, and we are currently behind in bills, and couldnt stock up if we wanted. I appreciate your offer to point me in the right direction. A sense of one, at least in terms of how to cope with day to day life, even at 57, seems to allude me. Very complicated, stressful times .
Just having a little bit of extra canned food and water can make a difference. Of course prayer is the most important thing. I'll keep you and your situation in my prayer intentions as well.

@Mark1 Storing rice and beans is easy and they go a long way. I buy 5 gallon paint buckets from lowes or home depot. Then get some mylar bags off amazon or wherever. Put the rice/beans/pasta/flour/etc into the bags, then into the buckets, store in cool, dark place in your house, and you are good to go. Rice and beans stored this way can last 10 years+. Other things can last that long too, but always check before eating. I also store a lot of corn flour because members of my family have gluten allergies. Can't go wrong with some corn flour and water to make tortillas. As for prepping, its a little at a time. I grew up going to the store with my grandparents who lived through the depression. They always had extra food on rotation in the basement for storage. Canned goods, pasta, sauces, etc. Buy two when going to the store and rotate in their store in the basement. They also never threw anything away if they did not have to. Kept and reused bags, rubber bands, aluminum foil, etc. I have adopted this practice as well and my kids call our basement room, the store lol. There we have plenty of canned goods, pasta, soaps, oil, detergents, shampoo, tooth paste, coffee, etc. Look for things on sale and buy several. It's amazing how often soap and toothpaste is in a bin on sale.
Possibly, but honestly I have moved away from the whole white hat/dark hat q stuff. Just doesn't feel very plausible to me anymore since nothing has happened on this front. My biggest problem of late on it all is that it brings us to too good of a happy ending, and it doesn't feel like that is where we are heading at present from a Catholic/biblical sense. It seems like we are more headed to chastisement sadly as to what our Blessed Mother warned us about at Fatima. She warned that God would use Russia to punish the world and honestly that is what the world deserves. The true faithful seem very few and the Godless bad have engulfed the world. Pray, fast, hope and trust like never before my friends. Maybe we can help lessen the judgement.
I'll hold you and your loved ones in prayer that you all may experience not only wisdom, but also the peace that passes all understanding!
Oh. Well who knows really? I am not sure anyone knows anything at this point--even our stellar (not) fearless leader in the white house. At any rate I certainly don't know. Monkey werx is a good guy though.
I agree Andy. I too have backed away ftom the "hopium" but I think our poor world may not get a pass this time. I think the Church is going to be rescued and restored so the faithful have the strong tower scripture speaks of but that doesn't mean escaping the chadtisement.
The one I bought is now sold out. I believe it was 5KW : ..but this is much the same: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09PY76M1K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ❤ WIDELY USED: ① The air diesel heater can be used for truck, boat, car trailer, motorhomes, touring car, campervans, caravans and all kinds of other diesel vehicles. ② Diesel air heater is also suitable for indoor use, such as for home, warehouse, factory, office, etc. Tips: The smaller the space, the faster the warmth. If the space is large, it is recommended to buy a few more heaters to heat it.
