I pray your right. As much as I appreciate the good things about technology I think it is in part very evil and very subject to evil uses. Our Blessed Mother has stated that we would return to a simpler time--wjich apparition? Not sure but I know she said it.
But that’s ok too. The saints God is preparing for this present time, right now, aren’t the ones He will need during the period of peace. We play our part, then retire from the battle field. To finally rest. From the conclusion of Abandonment to Divine Providence by deCaussade, one of my favorite sections of all the sprititual writings I’ve ever read: Section 11 - The Triumph of Humility. To the souls which are faithful to Him, God promises a glorious victory over the powers of the world and of hell. If the divine action is hidden here below under the appearance of weakness, it is in order to increase the merit of souls which are faithful to it; but its triumph is none the less certain. The history of the world from the beginning is but the history of the struggle between the powers of the world, and of hell, against the souls which are humbly devoted to the divine action. In this struggle all the advantage seems to be on the side of pride, yet the victory always remains with humility. The image of the world is always presented to our eyes as a statue of gold, brass, iron, and clay. This mystery of iniquity, shown in a dream to Nabuchodonosor, is nothing but a confused medley of all the actions, interior and exterior, of the children of darkness. This is also typified by the beast coming out of the pit to make war, from the beginning of time, against the interior and spiritual life of man. All that takes place in our days in the consequence of this war. Monster follows monster out of the pit, which swallows, and vomits them forth again amidst incessant clouds of smoke. The combat between St. Michael and Lucifer, that began in Heaven, still continues. The heart of this once magnificent angel, has become, through envy, an inexhaustible abyss of every kind of evil. He made angel revolt against angel in Heaven, and from the creation of the world his whole energy is exerted to make more criminals among men to fill the ranks of those who have been swallowed up in the pit. Lucifer is the chief of those who refuse obedience to the Almighty. This mystery of iniquity is the very inversion of the order of God; it is the order, or rather, the disorder of the devil. This disorder is a mystery because, under a false appearance of good, it hides irremediable and infinite evil. Every wicked man, who, from the time of Cain, up to the present moment, has declared war against God, has outwardly been great and powerful, making a great stir in the world, and being worshiped by all. But this outward semblance is a mystery. In reality they are beasts which have ascended from the pit one after another to overthrow the order of God. But this order, which is another mystery, has always opposed to them really great and powerful men who have dealt these monsters a mortal wound. As fast as hell vomits them forth, Heaven at the same time creates fresh heroes to combat them. Ancient history, sacred and profane, is but a record of this war. The order of God has ever remained victorious and those who have ranged themselves on the side of God have shared His triumph, and are happy for all eternity. Injustice has never been able to protect deserters. It can reward them only by death, an eternal death. Those who practise iniquity imagine themselves invincible. O God! who can resist You? If a single soul has the whole world and all hell against it, it need have no fear if, by abandonment, it takes its stand on the side of God and His order. The monstrous spectacle of wickedness armed with so much power, the head of gold, the body of silver, brass, and iron, is nothing more than the image of clay; a small stone cast at it will scatter it to the four winds of Heaven. How wonderfully has the Holy Spirit illustrated the centuries of the world! So many startling revelations! so many renowned heroes following each other like so many brilliant stars! So many wonderful events! All this is like the dream of Nabuchodonosor, forgotten on awaking, however terrible the impression it made at the time. All these monsters only come into the world to exercise the courage of the children of God, and if these are well trained, God gives them the pleasure of slaying the monsters, and sends fresh athletes into the arena. And this life is a spectacle to angels, causing continual joy in Heaven, work for saints on earth, and confusion to the devils in hell. So all that is opposed to the order of God renders it only the more to be adored. All workers of iniquity are slaves of justice, and the divine action builds the heavenly Jerusalem on the ruins of Babylon.
Even now, many like my younger daughter may succumb if the supply line for insulin dries up. What will be, will be. Lord have Mercy!
We have to abandon ourselves now to Divine Providence, and His active as well as His permissive Will, and not be overly attached to the things or creatures of this world, in order to be prepared for what lies on the immediate horizon. (It’s not as if you didn’t already know this, so please forgive me if this sounds preachy!) The Abandonment to Divine Providence book is a great place to start in grasping this.

BrianK, So this is End Times timeline, as I understand it: Katechon --> Antichrist --> Warning/Second Coming/Miracle --> Short Period of Peace --> The Wrath for Unfaithful/Reward for Faithful --> Last Judgment In my timeline, the Antichrist comes AFTER the Katechon (which the page you quoted agrees with), but the Antichrist comes BEFORE the Era of Peace (a sequence that the page you quoted says is "heretical"). Why is that "heretical?" Thanks.
PNF, If I may, I believe the End Times timeline looks more like this: Pre-Warning Tribulation --> Warning/Miracle --> Conditional Chastisement(3 Days of Darkness, which is probably no longer conditional) --> Katechon/Period of Peace --> Antichrist --> Second Coming --> Last Judgment I keep wondering how much of the Great Tribulation will occur before the Warning. We are given a clue from Our Lady of Garabandal that since the Miracle can/will be televised than the at least some of of what Alois stated appears to happen after the Miracle. But with that said, the Garabandal seers stated that the Chastisement will be directly from God and that is why it is thought to be the 3 Days of Darkness. It's a bit confusing but I suppose that I am hopeful that the Warning occurs before a plenitude of deaths occur because my belief is that Warning and the Miracle are meant to convert as many people as possible before a plenitude of deaths occur.
Hi Carol55, Here's how I see it. If the Garabandal prophecies are correct, the Warning will occur "when things are at their worst." The examples of things being "at their worst" are "communism" in the Church, "holy Mass can not be said freely" and priests will confuse people about good and evil. The elements described constitute the "revolt" or "apostasy" in the Church that St. Paul warns about in 2 Thessalonians 2. The Catechism calls this "the ultimate trial" of the Church, which is synonymous with the reign of the Antichrist (CCC 675, 676, 677). And how do you understand the "conditional chastisement?" For me, that will be "the Wrath" for those who are obstinate in apostasy after the Warning/Miracle and a Reward/Rest/Milleni for those who stay faithful through the Great Tribulation. It is "conditional" because it DEPENDS on how the individual responds to the Warning/Miracle. The people are given a chance to walk-the-walk after the great mercy. Those who go back to their sinful lives after have the grace of the Warning will get the Wrath. I think where a lot of disagreement comes in is that different people read different prophecies. Different prophecies use different words to describe the same basic period. And, also, the same period can be described with emphasis on one aspect or another within the same period. So I think the main periods can be simplified to 1) pre-Antichrist period, 2) Antichrist Period, 3) Conditional punishment/reward period. The other specific events like Warning, Miracle, Three Days, etc. fit into one of those three main periods. As I've mentioned, this follow Jesus's explanation of the three main periods to Maria Valtorta in her Notebooks. Pre-Warning Tribulation overlaps with the Katechon period. The Warning/Miracle period overlaps with the Great Tribulation/Antichrist period The Period of Peace is the time right after the Warning/Miracle but before the Conditional Chastisement/Wrath for the unfaithful and the Conditional Reward for the faithful. PNF, I'm sorry but I don't agree. I think that you should take Brian's advice and read Trial, Tribulation and Triumph: Before, During, and After Antichrist. by Desmond A. Birch. I believe that some learned priests say that the the Final Judgement will be 45 days in length - I don't think that it can be described as a time of peace. Heaven will be peace for eternity, of course. My belief about what the Garabandal seers state that the Warning will occur "when things are at their worst." is that they mean God will act because the Church will be in a very dangerous situation at the point of disappearing but Mari Loli states that "God does not want this to happen so quickly" so he will act with the Warning. Iow, God is giving us one last chance to amend our ways before the time of the Anti-Christ which is when the abomination of desolation occurs, the holy sacrifice will be removed. So, you are correct that this is when the world will truly be at it's worst but it will also be too late for mankind at that point. In addition, God has control of the end not man, that is another reason for the Warning and the Miracle like Loli said "God does not want this (the end) to happen so quickly". I hope that this helps. One last piece of advice, stick with the private revelations which have been approved by the Church and if you do venture into those which are not approved yet make sure that they are not in opposition to the Church's teachings or other approved prophecies. Btw, Birch only uses approved prophecies in his book.

Carol55, thank you for the link and the Birch recommendation. However, I must tell you that Desmond Birch doesn't agree with what you said. You can hear him say definitively, following what St. Thomas Aquinas said, that the prophesied "Era of Peace" will not surpass "the period experienced in the Apostolic Age." Start listening at timestamp 22:50. You seem to think there will be a period within history, prior to the Second Coming, in which there will be a kind of "world peace," where Christ "will reign in everyone's heart." In that clip, Desmond Birch says, absolutely not. During the time of the Apostles, the "worldings" and "pagans" and "heretics" were martyring the Apostles. Yes, there were Christian communities in which the members were fervent believers, but people were always under attack by the Satan. The Church during the earthly pilgrimage is always the Church Militant, fighting against demonic forces. This idea that there will be a period WITHIN HISTORY that has the characteristics of "perfect peace" is known as "millennialism" or "millenarianism." It is specifically warned about in CCC 675, 676, 677. It is the "pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh." The belief that a Great Monarch, a real human being in history, will reign over the earth and bring actual peace to the world is the essence of the Antichristian program, according to the CCC. Does that make sense?
IF You're referring to The AntiChrist who shall show up in a temple, then, we're in agreement re: CCC.. Thing is - and Again! . the CCC is referring to more than just the AntiChrist! The Church's ultimate trial 675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.574 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth575 will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.576 676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,577 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.578 677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.579 The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven.580 God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.581 ____________ * II.
