Above all, God's Gospel supersedes Man's laws of whatever nation - - including the often morphing opinions of the U.S. Constitution God? Disapproves of any individual or group who approves of - and worse actively peddles --> ABORTION !
I've heard of very few viable suggestions - none of whom seems capable of addressing and solving the true underlying Problem (Economic Problems) in and of the UK Johnson shall tell the Queen his suggestion.. The Queen, who is free to do as she pleases, will, by custom, very most likely go along with Johnson.
God told me today, not in words but in thoughts. Find one special blessing per day that stands out from the ordinary. Today for me was spending the afternoon plein air painting outdoors with my good friend Marvin. He didn't start painting until he was 65, he's now 79. He has the enthusiasm of a child. I'm going to start a journal of these special blessings . . .
Not sure if he was a good leader, but awful to learn about it…… https://indianexpress.com/article/world/former-japan-pm-shinzo-abe-shot-8016155/
He didn't survive. Let's pray for him so he can enter Heaven one day. He was a hardworking, sincere and humble man. Maybe not the best leader, but not a bad one either. His affiliated political party is the "Liberal Democratic Party", which in spite of its name is conservative. He wasn't a Christian, but he definitly has more chance to get to Heaven than some Catholics leaders that publicly support and encourage abortion.
Good thoughts and will pray. It must be a terrible shock for Japan- a nation that does not often see the level of gun violence that we do in the US. Evil is certainly out in the open in all corners of the world.
I have been sad about this all day. The Japanese people are very compassionate in a quiet kind of way. I watch the Kritter Klub videos of them rescuing cats and treating their health problems. I can watch cat videos but I am not good at watching Catholic videos. Don't quote me on any of this.
I try to keep Japan in my prayers (among all of the other people and groups I try to pray for). They are, literally, a nation ruled by demons. Shinto, their primary religion, is polytheistic, with an infinite number of "kami" or gods. The emperor, while not considered a "living god" (except for a period leading up to and during WW2) is considered "a direct descendant of the sun goddess Amaterasu." (per Encyclopedia Britannica) Counting all the other demons in the other religions practiced in Japan, and it truly is a nation ruled by demons. Currently its population is dropping due to a combination of abortion, birth control, and a growing tendency of young people to not engage in sexual activity (and so not get married). This asexuality is not so much an active choice as it is something that people just don't feel like doing. Japan is rapidly going down the ethnic drain, with the Japanese ethnic group predicted to be gone (if not already below replacement levels) by the end of the current century.
It's not just the Japanese. The Koreans are facing a similar predicament. Not to mention many European nations. The Japanese are not unique in being pagan and all paganism is necessarily demon worship, but they very emphatically and cruelly rejected Christianity a few centuries ago. They may now be having their reward.
Prosperity. I've had some thoughts on it lately. We are members of a few exceptional generations that have known wealth beyond the imaginings of practically all members of the human race. We can do things Ceasar and Pericles might not have even imagined. It's almost entirely a consequence of technology. We can support many more people's need for water and food; we can cure, or at least interrupt, many diseases previously unamenable to cure or salve. We have a remarkably low infant mortality rate. We need not endure much pain, thanks to anaesthetics and pain-relievers. There are countless more improvements in our lives which remove much of its labour, not to mention innumerable luxury conveniences. Among the small prices for this prosperity is people living longer and the survival of many, some very disabled, who would otherwise not have survived. Yet, despite all our over-flowing prosperity, we are the first generations to kill such inconvenient surpluses. Previous societies did not have to deal with so many needy people, because they generally simply died sooner or never got going, and this was fair enough in a way, because they had enough to do themselves to survive, yet they still strove to look after the needy they did have, but ours has exponentially more resources and our own lives are so much less a struggle, but we cannot find it in ourselves, in many cases, to lift a finger for those dependent on our efforts. Au contraire.
A great idea for the young, but by the time my cedars became a hedge I'll be six feet under! Let the trees clap their hands! Isaiah 55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Its a sad paradox isn't it. I remember Mother Teresa saying of the poor people of Calcutta who would share their allotment of rice with their neighbor. And then she spoke of our poverty in the West in the midst of plenty. Spiritual poverty and not of the sort embraced by the saints but the sort of poverty of spirit that sees a child as an inconvenience not as a gift.
