Gosh Rory. I think given your health circumstances and the risks of exposure prudence is the rule here. Even if it means staying away from Church. I am praying for you today to have peace in your mind whatever course of action you take. I am stunned that covid arrives here during Holy Week. It seems so devilish.

 

I don't know. It was the young altar server at the Mass Sunday who exposed everyone. I talked to one of the nuns last night. She said they hated to close but all of the nuns and Mass goers were exposed ( me too) so they felt they had to. She said they at the convent are very vulnerable health wise. Please pray for them if you have time. They are the Sister Servants of the Blessed Sacrament (St Peter Julian Eymard's order) This seems somehow diabolical. ( not blaming the poor devout young man who served Mass--i am sure he feels terrible about it)

 

I can’t help but think this is no accident.

Yes AED…I will pray for the nuns…and you. My sister had the omicron variant and recovered fairly fast…bad a headache for two days and that was her worst symptom. She also has COPD but her lungs were not impacted. Omicron doesn’t affect lungs.
Where I’m from, we haven’t heard of a Covid case in months…no one even talks about it. It felt like the omicron variant had run its course. I know the powers to be talked about preparing a new vaccine for the next pandemic…but how would they know how to develop any vaccine for a yet unknown new virus?

I must be missing something…
Is there is a new Covid variant or a new virus…? I thought it was over? They talked about omicron as being almost a antidote to covid. That it was very mild and produced great immunity against any other Covid variant.
What are you hearing about this…is it omicron? Or doesn’t anyone even seem to know?
If this altar server had Covid, perhaps it was omicron? Bad, but not as dangerous as the former variants.

There is a variant of the Omicron…..called BA 2, it is just as mild as the original Omicron but more contagious

Yes, your right! I guess I forgot about it because it hasn’t impacted my area. We hear nothing about it! It seems each new variant is milder than the next and hospitalization is not a big deal….am I right about this?

 

I haven't heard the particulars about this specific case. I am guessing omicron. We have had no cases around here for months. Seems strange. My spidey senses are up and raising red flags.

 

Yes, same here…no cases for months….
Praying it’s just the new milder version…hopefully more like a cold than anything. I might have had it. I’ve had a cold for two weeks…I never bothered to test.

 

Could be Beth. The cold that never ends sure sounds like covid. More home grown immunity! (A good thing)

I was at my doctors for a well visit and she examined me and knew I had a bad head cold, but never even recommended a Covid test and so I just assumed it was a simple cold virus. She implied the same…so I wasn’t concerned. It’s almost gone and really wasn’t anything more than a annoyance.
I guess if you get any symptoms it’s possible it’s either the new less severe variant or possibly just a cold…?
I’m more concerned that a new virus is coming….Especially since there was talk of a new vaccine. I honestly believe this is a effort to lock us down again before the midterm elections. Watching what they are now doing in China is absolutely frightening. Tucker Carlson did a report last night that should be wake up call to everyone.

 

I pray we can avoid another virus/lockdown. Hopefully, prayer can mitigate it.

 

Leftist city Philadelphia has reinstated their mask policy…they are setting the table for other cities to prepare for midterm election lockdowns…hummmm, I see another attempt to do the mail in ballots ….hummmm, I wonder why?

 

China warned their population to store food over six months ago. I saw multiple stories about this back then. Did they preplan this lockdown? People who did not store food are now starving if what we are seeing in the media is true.
I don’t trust anything….

Now we are seeing some shortages and are being warned of more to come…warned to prepare. Biden said we would have shortages. What are they planning for us?

We didn’t really have much covid here all along but when this omicron hit everyone seems to be getting it but most are vaxed.
