We are all sinners Sanctus….I’m sure I’ve angered God by sins. Our dear Lord provided a remedy for us…it’s not punishment he desires, it’s confession and conversion. I’d bet most of us …or a lot of us need this at the end of each and everyday. Our Heavenly Father only asks of us to go and sin no more….and when we do, in His Divine Mercy He provided the institution of the sacrament of penance. He loves us more than we are even capable of knowing or understanding. If we have to offer up suffering to atone, He will accept it or provide it. It’s our ticket to heaven as a loving act of mercy for our immortal soul and not intended to display anger. It’s reparation, a very compassionate gift if it helps us merit heaven.
Thank you Brian! I remember our forum daily at mass and adoration. In these troubled times of late, everything spiritual has taken on a greater measure of importance…no, not just importance…, it’s everything. The only positive result of this hellish world is that it draws us closer to The Lord…so that’s a good thing.
Hi Peter, I’m sorry that you are enduring this suffering. Please know that as a brother in Christ, when you suffer, we suffer with you. You are part of the mystical Body of Christ… and so we all raise you up in this moment. The best word I can offer, are the very Words of God. I hope you can find comfort in these Words. Peace 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 We are experiencing trouble on every side, but are not crushed; we are perplexed, but not driven to despair; we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are knocked down, but not destroyed, always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body. Psalm 43:5 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, because I will praise him once again, since his presence saves me and he is my God. Psalm 40:1-2 I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” Psalm 143:4-6 So I am ready to give up; I am in deep despair.I remember the days gone by; I think about all that you have done, I bring to mind all your deeds. I lift up my hands to you in prayer; like dry ground my soul is thirsty for you.
Dear Peter…please go to the sacraments daily! Those graces will sustain you. I’ve had difficult trials, many recently, and when my day feels impossible , I implore St. Michael to rescue me. Also your guardian angel. They are your own personal guards…call on them. Offer up your suffering, it has great value and just surrender everything to God. Many of these earthly crosses will be your crowing glory in heaven . Never give up…never.
Great advice, Beth. And Sanctus, things will get better for you interiorly and you never know how soon they will,
O Jesus, I surrender this soul Sanctus to you, take care of everything! (10 times) (done. ) Mother, I am yours now and forever. Through you and with you I always want to belong completely to Jesus.
I'm sorry for my sins and I repent of my sins. Is there still hope for me with Jesus and God? I love Our Lady too. I reconsecrated myself to her in 2020. I also made the consecration in 2017.
