The Two Popes

It just occured to me....could these two be the "Two Witnesses" for the end times prophecied in scripture??
Does anyone else have this feeling?

Oh I didn't see your post above. It's so hard to keep up with all these conversations in so little free time But hey that makes me feel better, cause I too felt promped by God to think this, and would never post anything I got in prayer unless positive as I would be so afraid to mislead anyone. But if you got it too!...thats why I love this forum, it really helps to determine what I am receiving if others are receiving it too.

 

Does this passage also mark the beginning of 3 1/2 years (or as mentioned 42 months ) of Tribulation ?

 

Possibly, as it comes to 3 1/2 years. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out. Perhaps God wanted Benedict alive to have the extra support in this mission, and that's why he felt to give his resignation, so all this would be fullfilled.

 

3 1/2 years from right now brings us to the year 2017...hmmmm...there's that year mentioned before again.

 

I have been thinking about this Glenn. Suppose May 13, 1917 was the start of Satan's 100 year reign over this earth, then May 13th of 2017 is the end of the 100 year reign of Satan, which Pope Leo XIII foretold. Stepping this date back 3 1/2 years as several propcheies have said that the Mass would not be able to be publiclly said during this upcoming time of Tribulation. If the 100 year reign is nearing its end, then the 3.5 year period that is referenced would need to start this fall (November time frame), stepping it back 3.5 years from May 13, 2017. This means we are perhaps day's or month's away from a most signifiant world event to change the course of the earth (economically, socially and politically) in a dramaitc way. This would put the Warning to take place, perhaps in 2016 or early 2017 and the Miracle promised at Garabandal in 2017.

If this senerio has any merit, then the heel of Mary will crush Satan's head in 2017 and the 25 years period of peace foretold at LaSalette will begin. Just a thought.

Fatima, I also think it plays into the Garabandal prediction of Communism returning on more of a global scale before the Warning. That is my personal belief as to why I don't think the Warning is this year or next as some do. Great post !

 

It says when the Two Witnesses are killed, that people will celebrate, and give each other gifts. The way people are about this Gay Agenda and so hateful about abortion too, I can really see this happening. They all certainly seem to hate God's teachings on these subjects, and as such hate the Catholic Church for upholding them.

The FDA here in the States just passed a law allowing as low as 15 year old girls to buy over the counter morning after (abortion) pills. It totally blows me away that these things actually can happen. Either I am suffering from religiosity or a big portion of this world has gone completely blind. They actually do these things thinking they are doing the right thing. I am just flabbergasted. It's hard to put into words. I watch the news on this stuff and think...oh cmon...this is just a joke right? This can't be for real.

 

I don't believe God will take much more of it.

 

Here is the whole chapter. Reading it again, I was really struck by the measurement of the Temple. Could the "inside" be the Catholic Church, and the "outer court" be protestant churches? Also the term "2 olive branches" struck me. Then the part about "figuratively called Sodom and Egypt". Was not the great sin of Sodom Homosexuality and the great sin of Egypt the Sacrafice of babies? Just pondering on this ......

REV 11 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. Jimmyiz...you are right on...we have entered the twilight zone...I was just thinking..."Meloch state". These are satanic and diabolical times and narely a peep of protest from our leaders...or at least if they are their voices are drowned out by the masonic media.
Carmel333...what a novel idea...I hadn't thought of that...but it is intriquing. If some of these recent prophecies are legite and Francis is killed in Jerusalem and maybe then also Benedict would be at his side. Wow...that would be an eye popper. Definitely someting to ponder...but we wont have long to wait to see if its plausible or mere fantasy.

 

I was thinking with the term "Two Olive Trees" that Benedict was the (1st) Pope on the scene, and then that is a hint that there will be a 2nd Pope, the TWO Olive trees. The two Olive Trees then together become the two Lampstands.

 

aren't the 3.5 years mentioned as the time for the final tribulations before the Second Coming?
