The Billy Graham family has been struggling with health issues, granddaughter suffers 2 heart attacks, family requests prayers. I will be praying for them. https://www.faithwire.com/2022/01/1...232&inid=38b1b7ca-fcb8-46f8-b291-c7c6a650a902 I really wonder about this. Last summer, grandson struggled with COVID. https://www.newsobserver.com/news/state/north-carolina/article253017623.html Son, Franklin had to have heart surgery last year. https://religionnews.com/2021/11/09/franklin-graham-undergoes-heart-surgery-expects-full-recovery/
Didn’t Franklin Graham, whom I had respect for, eventually support the vaccine? I didn’t read the links, but could these health issues be a result of the vaccination?
I don't know if Franklin supported the vaccine. I know there was wonderment if the vaccine caused the pericarditis that he got that heart operation over. "Support"? I don't know.... he has to I gather go overseas from time to time to where they take their food aid and so on. Billy Graham was once in the same room as Mother Teresa and Billy said he knew he was in the presence of a St. So, I empathize with the Grahams. Often, we need to see how we are similar with folks versus what makes us different. But back to COVID, these ordeals they have gone through and with the vaccines is indeed, worrisome. Glenn Beck helped, I gather, get Americans out of Afghanistan. I was reading about him in one of the forums here. The Grahams feed the poor, a lot as well as more aid, overseas and in the US, the recent tornado in Kentucky etc. being one example. These are the important things, these are Christian things. Beck, by-the-way, per the earlier posting, was raised Catholic, I know it is said he is LDS now; but I'm really not sure what his religion would be. I don't hear him speak of it much. And back to the Grahams, the double heart attack in the first story, as I said, that gets me to really thinking.
I believe Franklin Graham to be a sincere man of faith. I actually have great respect for him. I wasn’t judging him…or anyone. I did read that he advocated for the vaccine…he was trying to do the right thing. Only good intentions. God bless him and his family ,
https://www.ncregister.com/cna/alle...er-major-damage-to-denvers-catholic-cathedral This us a bit of a curious vandalism story. I wonder how the church views instances like this. Yes, we are to be forgiving, but how about punishment and paying for damages done? An interesting sidenote is where the article talks about the Cathedral having the remains of a servant of God, former slave with a devotion to the sacred heart.
Making restitution is a critical part of seeking to make right a wrong committed according to every teaching on it I have ever read in the Bible. Now, someone who has been wronged can choose to waive the restitution out of an act of mercy toward the person. That person who committed the wrong will hopefully go on to perform acts of charity toward others. The woman was raised Catholic, claims she became a Satanist, then defaces a church with graffiti that says "Satan lives here". I'd say mental illness lives in that woman at the very least.
It's beginning to feel like the early 1960's again for sure. Russia threatens Latin America troop deployments amid US tensions Washington dismisses Moscow’s talk of military assets being sent to Cuba and Venezuela as ‘bluster’. 14 Jan 2022 https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022...in-america-troop-deployments-amid-us-tensions *** And there is this news also. World News Iraqi officials: 4 rockets target US Embassy in Baghdad Posted January 13, 2022 1:25 p.m. EST https://www.wral.com/iraqi-officials-3-rockets-target-us-embassy-in-baghdad/20076717/
Maybe Russia ought to just get on with it and declare themselves communists again since they keep relying on communist nations to bolster their efforts to counter NATO.
Don, It's so difficult to know what is going on inside the heads of these world leaders but everything seems to be greatly on edge again and continuing to ratchet up. So, I'm trying to up my prayers once again or at a minimum pray with great conviction which is not always easy, unfortunately, especially when I'm anxious. + How are you and your family feeling now? I hope that everyone is much better.
We seem to be over it finally Carol. The girls all tested negative finally and are back to their routines with the exception of my youngest due to the Schools being shut down yet again. I know that I am past it because my immune system which had stopped attacking my joints for a time when I was sick with the virus to fight it has gone back to attacking them once again. So things are on the up and up.
Praying! I remember once a Tsunami warning was issued for Hawaii and a prayer call went out and we all prayed. All the signs were there for a Tsunami, the water pulled way back from the shore, the people all headed for the hills{literally} and nothing happened. You should have heard all the talking heads on the news, I mean this can't have happened, this is impossible, but it did-nothing happened!
Really hoping this substitute teacher is making this up. Teacher alleges she was fired for not 'meowing' back at student who identifies as a cat "We no longer need your services if you can't identify with all the children in the classroom," the substitute teacher alleges the school's office said. https://thepostmillennial.com/teacher-alleges-fired-not-meowing-student-cat?utm_campaign=64471
This is terrible and really needs our prayers, a hostage situation has gone on today at a Texas Synagogue. It's still going on. Multiple law enforcement agencies respond to hostage situation at Colleyville, Texas, synagogue (msn.com)
She should identify as a dog and sue the school for not respecting her natural dislike of cats. Edit: she already initiated this course of action by going 'ruff'!
