Always thought Mark was wordy...was neverable to read through his blogs. Long! But pleasantly surprised by video. congrats
Catholics have a supreme case of cognitive dissonance. The individual who is considered to be source of the Church’s indefectibility is making an alliance with God’s enemies. This should not happen. It is impossible. The one supposedly divinely placed to protect the Church is destroying it. The rock can’t be the anchor pulling the ark underwater.
Our ability to press our own self-harm and destruct button at times is what causes the Body of Christ to bleed and suffer. But we also have the ability to heal the wounds we perceive in others – through forgiveness, seven or seventy-seven times. As much as it takes. By our willingness to forgive others –even ourselves – so shall we be judged.
Speaking of Mark Mallet.....Does anyone remember the letter he included in one of his writings from a loyal follower who wrote to him telling Mark that he (the letter writer) had "had it" and was going to quit his devotions and prayers because they were not working. He said that he had considered himself to be one of Our Lady's Rabble (not sure if that's the correct word)) and a staunch prayer warrior. He spiritually labored as part of the "remnant"and had done everything that our lady had requested of such a soul. He attended daily mass, First Fridays and First Saturdays. daily rosaries, Divine Mercy Chaplets daily and on and on. BUT ....now hes throwing in the towel! I went thru most of Marks archives to try to find that letter to no avail. Anyway... the reason I bring it up is because when I first started to read the letter ...I said to myself "I could have written that letter!! THAT'S ME!! Then.. after a bit... it hit me.. NO!!! This is the heat of the battle ...fatigue is setting in ... our battles are NOT being won and things are worse than they were before! I understood instantly how Jesus's apostles must felt when Jesus finally died on the cross. Disappointment ...disillusion and loss of hope. They must of thought that all that they had been doing with and for Jesus was a waste of time ,if not a lie. And..... as they... as well as we know it was all TRUE! So ..I picked myself up off my self pity floor and started my daily rosary and asked Mary for the strength to carry on Perseverance to the end!! Im sharing my little Eureka moment because I"m sensing this same "battle fatigue" setting in in various degrees within the membership of the MOG forum and I hope to let these soldiers of Mary know that all is NOT lost and if you're just hanging on by your (forget finger tips ..I mean FINGER NAILS) ..keep on keepin on!! HOORAH!!!
<< Perseverance to the end!!>> Ellen, You’re in tune with the teaching Pope Francis gave at today’s General Audience! https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/...lties-in-prayer-pope-at-general-audience.html
I am getting a bit fatigued by all that is happening especially when things look to be getting far worse before getting better. But, all this suffering does not go to waste when offered with Jesus own suffering for the world and for sinners. Adding all the masses, rosaries, chaplets and novenas offered by so many faithful nets a great benefit most of which we won't understand till we pass. The other thing is if this is a/the tribulation it's coming or here no matter the prayers offered to stop it, although God may lessen it because of the faithful per our Lady. Without faith it would be so easy to say our prayers and masses are doing little in the world or for souls. The other thing is we can't look for own own ideal desired result as proof God hears us since His plan is always different than we expect and nets more souls in the end. Still, it's hard to look at my kids in there 20's and hopefully future grandkids and wonder what kind of world they are going to grow up in if God doesn't step in.
Yesterday was the Feast Day of a most unusual Saint whose life can teach us a lot about current goings on in the Vatican. It was Pope St Celestine V, a hermit who was made Pope and threw the towel in a few months later and was then imprisoned by his successor Pope Boniface VIII until his death. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Celestine_V I'm guessing Celestine took a look at the awful state of the Vatican and the Church in general and threw his hands in the air. Pope Celestine was a genuine honest to goodness saint and showed real holiness even from childhood. But what comes through it all is that the Church really did recognise him as a saint at the end of the day. So truth triumphed, despite the odds. He wasn't simply forgotten about after they buried him in prison, nor did they dump him as a failure. Pope St Celestine, pray for us.
BXVI laid down his mantle at Celestine's grave a few years before he "threw in the towel". Some have said he was telegraphing his intentions.. at that moment. Boniface was in Dante's view an exceedingly evil pope. He has him in the Inferno--Boniface who was still Pope at the time was not amused.
We are being banned from everything, but they cannot ban us from the refuge of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. Let us dwell there in peace! Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved spouse! Fiat!
So well said! So necessary and timely! Never, never give up...that is a victory for satan. We are children of the Most High God! We are His...we do not quit the team ever!
