Williams: Vatican Unveils Hideous Nativity Scene in Saint Peter’s Square https://www.breitbart.com/faith/202...-hideous-nativity-scene-saint-peters-square/# Elizabeth Lev, an American art historian living and teaching in Rome, told Breitbart News she thinks the choice was a poor one. “The Nativity celebrates the Incarnation, God who comes into the world as flesh, not in a totemic form,” Dr. Lev declared. “At the end of this extremely difficult year people are looking for beauty, for something to elevate, inspire, and unite them, and the scene offered in Saint Peter’s Square gives them something else altogether.”
I can't believe it. A lot of people in Twitter are now calling "Emperor Trump" and that he should cross the Rubicon!
I think the astronaut is one of the three kings holding a gift. The big angel resembles the lady on the Starbucks logo.
I’m not on Twitter, but there are now hashtags to counter the satanic nativity scene erected by the Vatican . They are in the description box on this new video:::
Most of the arts and films nowadays is about conditioning the mind rather than just entertaining or showing beauty. They often mock religion or teach evil values in subtle ways. Because it’s not provable what they are doing, people accuse you of being crazy when you point it out.
FWIW, I read an analysis on The Epoch Times that made what to me seemed to be a good case for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act in regards to the election. It would not be a full scale US-Army-weapons-against-citizens implementation. Instead, it would be "surgical", directing the military to secure voting machines in the four states to do forensic analysis of the machines, and to take over and conduct hand recounts and verification of ballot signatures. He might not be able to do the verification actions with the presidential election, but he could do it in regards to the Georgia Senate election on Jan. 5. He MAY be able to order military units to take over security to ensure both Republicans and Democrats get to view and verify the ballot counting, rather than having Republicans shoved into a corner or escorted out by police if they get "uppity". This would be devastating to many Americans, and may be declared by SCOTUS as illegal under the Posse Comitatus Act; however, that act specifically excludes actions taken by the President under the Insurrection Act. (FWIW, the Posse Comitatus Act was enacted to prevent the use of the US Military to enforce civil law unless specifically directed to do so by the Constitution, an act of Congress, or by both the President and the Secretary of Defense. It was enacted specifically to prevent military interference in the elections to be held in the states that had been in rebellion against the Union.) It would involve a state (Georgia) that has already had to deal with military occupation (just after the War Between the States and during the Civil Rights era) and would be a declaration that the citizens of Georgia could not trust their own officials to carry out a legal election. But barring action by SCOTUS in Lyn Wood's legal efforts, it may be the only way to ensure a fair and accurate counting of ballots in Georgia.
I understand but I don't believe that it is or was meant to be a mockery and I don't believe that there is any way to prove it. Here is why. Art is not a hallmark card and while personally I certainly do not like nor enjoy this display because to be honest it just invokes nothing in me at fist glance I can't just assume that those who provided it are intentionally mocking Our Lord because of what it fails to invoke in me. Art is meant to be creative and invoke feelings, memories, and contemplation to those who view it. Not all art or forms of it speak to people in the same way or even at all. I can only speak for myself, I am a tradition guy and traditional things speak loudest to me so new or modern forms of art rarely invoke in me any feeling of recognition or memory. The one thing that this display does remind me of however is the artwork my children made for me when they were young. That art is precious to me and reminds me of their pure love for both God and their father here on earth. It is irreplaceable.
And I think it has to be taken with a grain of salt. However having said that the saddest thing about these headlines from St Peters is that I don't dismiss them out of hand.
