I haven't read them at all. And have no intentions to read them. But it caught my eye with Mary speaking against Her consecrated Sons. So I will leave now.
I agree we need to live one day at a time. The most important thing is to pray and grow in virtue through the sacraments. But I also believe nothing happens without God allowing it. So just like any revelations it doesn't hurt to pay attention,..and depend on God for disernment of such revelations as we may benefit from them. In any case it gives one a good idea as to the urgency of the times. It's the same thing with Medjugorje,..some people may not believe but for it to be going on for so long,...that would have to be one big hoax, and we have to ask ourselves do the revelations lead us to greater devotion and holiness...
We have a loving mother who wants to prepare the whole world for what is to come. No one will ever be able to say, they were not forewarned when this all takes place. Our earth is literally growning, howlling, booming all over the world right now and no one in the media understands it or can explain it. This is what Pedro is talking about. Massive earth destruction because of sin. We are in the end times and nothing has ever taken place likewhat we are about to witness. Mary say's it is much - much worse than the great flood. Scary?? Yeah!! For a reason. The earth will be renewed, both in its substance and the substance of those who will remain.
I agree. it was years ago I first heard of Pedro's messages, and back then they were a list of calamities in several parts of the world and maybe one would come true...as were the odds. So for me personally, I do not read any of Pedro's messages and I have not for years.
From the Church approved apparitions at Akita, 1973: "With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."
I am SOOOO going to tell my wife you said that!!! Even more interestingly about Akita, the bishop in Japan was not sure what to do - whether to approve the apparition or not. He felt it legitimate, but didn't want to cause scandal. He went to Rome four times before he gave his approval. The final element was that Cardinal Ratzinger said something to the effect that, "The message is the same as the third secret of Fatima."

You say the Bishop there approved it. Have there been any other Bishops who have said differently? Has the Church given the 'final' stamp of approval?
Hi Jane, No can of worms. She knows far more than I do. I think she has every book Ratzinger/Benedict ever wrote...and has actually read them. Yes, Akita is approved. The local bishop has the responsibility of judging the supernatural nature of any apparition. This is true throughout the Church. Rome only gets involved in situations where there's a conflict or a firm and final answer is needed. For example... Our Lady of America is Church approved. It was approved in the 1960's by the local bishop. Rome has never spoken on the subject officially. However, Cardinal Burke did judge that the bishop followed the proper process in canon law to make the approval. Rome need not give further opinion unless some other element is discovered. Contrast that to Medjugorie, where the local bishop has ruled against the apparitions. There are enough faithful people speaking favorably about Medjugorie, and enough good fruits, that Rome decided to look into the matter for a final approval or denial of approval. Last I heard, they were supposed to announce something late last year, but clearly that didn't happen. Akita is similar to the first point. The local ordinary has declared it supernatural in origin and a legitimate Marian apparition, so no further comment is needed from Rome without some scandal or unanswered questions that might arise. Rome only speaks to settle controversy or answer serious questions.
I stand my ground. You are a wealth of information. So that gives me a good understanding with the church and various apparitions. Basically, if the Bishops give their approval, it is approved. I knew the Bishops had said not to follow Medjugorje and Garabandal. That's another reason why I stay away. But I couldn't understand why the church is investigating Medjugorje and not Garabandal. But it is because of the volume of people following and conversions in Medj. I wonder when they are going to finalise Medjugorje. I wonder if they ever will? I will have to remember, if I ever need to know anything about Ratzinger/Benedict, I will ask you to ask your wife.
I knew about Medjugorje and the Bishop but not Garabandal. So the Bishop gave his disapproval at Garabandal? I didn't know that.
To be honest, I'm not sure where things stand right now with Garabandal. I did read somewhere that the bishops involved had spoken against it (3 bishops, if I remember correctly). I did find a letter once, but I have not a bit of Spanish and no idea what it said. There seems to be some question now about whether or not the prohibition is lifted or being lifted. That's part of why I'm on the fence with Garabandal...I honestly don't know the status.
Interesting to know. Who was the first prophet to tell us about communism? I will have to check again, but I think St Faustina mentioned it. Was there anyone else? I'm sure there might be a few?????
TO ALL HERE: THE TRUTH ABOUT GARABANDAL & THE BISHOP'S RULING. Two commissions convened by bishops of Santander, Spain, have stated that there were no phenomena which would authentic the events as certainly supernatural, they did not condemn the message. In this regard, the first commission stated, "we have NOT found anything deserving of ecclesiastical censure or condemnation either in the doctrine or in the spiritual recommendations that have been published as having been addressed to the faithful." The bishop who called the second commission, Bishop del Val, upon retiring from office stated in an interview that the message of Garabandal was "important" and "theologically correct." There seems to be two obstacles. The first is that the Bishops expected the "Warning & Miracle "to have happened already, and thus it would have been approved after both had taken place, as prophesied. The other obstacle was the Blessed Mother's condemnation of her priests. The second message caused particular controversy when it was revealed that Conchita had actually written "many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are following the road to perdition." So how can they approve a condemning self fulfilling prophecy ? It seems, therefore, that notwithstanding the decisions of two commissions accepted by the bishops of Santander, that there are reasonable grounds for individual Catholics to find Garabandal credible. The children themselves predicted that the message of Garabandal would be approved with difficulty, but in sufficient time to spread it. Perhaps this means that the "Warning" (a clearly supernatural event) must occur first for approval to be given.

MS7, the messages to Pedro Regis are getting much more specific since Benedict's retrirement. They are much more directed to calamities coming soon within the Church. The last 12 messages, which have yet to be translated into english, seem to be even more alarming (google transalte gives a fair translation of them). The poison is in the tree, not in the fruit seems to indicate there is much evil being planned within the walls of the Vatican, but not by the Pope.
April 14th message: "The betrayal will come to the throne of Peter and the pain will be great for men and women of faith". April 13th messsage: "Europe's population will decrease tremendously. Crowds seek relief in many regions of the earth. Rich and poor will walk in the same direction and the same shall eat bread. Faith is present in a few hearts and the Church of My Jesus will suffer greatly. Heathen nations will host the Gospel and Jesus will be loved. Great are the tribulations, but ultimately God's victory will come with the final triumph of My Immaculate Heart". April 6th message: "Accept the Gospel and not stray from the true doctrine. Be faithful. Disobedience will cause confusion. Those chosen will abandon the altars and walk the streets. States are against the truth". April 2nd message: "Many who are fervent in faith will become indifferent. Decisions will be taken and there will be great revolt. Difficult days to come the Church of My Jesus".
