I agree Fatima, the locutions are correct that he is not well known. I understand that he has not done many writings and has not been published, especially compared to Popes JPII and Benedict. So not a lot is known of him in the ways we knew of the preceding 2 popes and many of the other papal candidates.

I'm looking forward to learning all about our new pope and how/if he is devoted to our lady and to what degree. It was pretty clear JPII was deeply devoted to her, and I'm looking forward to seeing Francis' level of devotion to her.

    Mary'sChild,
I agree with the point of your post. But, do you feel these locutions are doom and gloom and fire and brimstone? Has anyone on this thread called the pope the anti-pope? I'm just curious, as I don't view them as doom and gloom or fire and brimstone. But that's just me.

Having said that, these locutions are definately on the back burner for me, and I never at any point promoted them to anyone. But if our new pope consecrates russia to Mary...well then I'd have another look at them.

You may have been referring to the MDM messages, which, from what people have posted, sounds very awful, and we should be praying much for Maria and her followers.

I am probably the only one on this form that does not know what MDM is. Can someone explain this?

MDM = Maria of divine mercy

she's that seer in Ireland with the impressive website and messages that this pope is the anti-pope and apperently all her followers seem to be against this pope already :(

  5. Didn't know she was Irish

I am talking about MDM and many other 'seers' who say that the next pope will be the anti pope. Benedict was accused of the very same thing.

I also feel that sometimes, some people relish a bit too much in the chastisements. I find it all very sad. We are the product of generations before us that went horribly wrong. Warnings were going out from the 19th century and before which just shows you that God wasn't happy even then.

We are the product of that. We are surrounded by many things, and very few actually know their faith. There are so many who have no idea that God exists and so they are not making good choices. This is heartbreaking.

There are many seers taking people in with messages that are indeed contrary to the Gospels.

For me, locutions to the world aren't that great either. Although I know that quite a few will not agree with me.

But here is the thing, I cannot even contemplate Our Blessed Mother telling a Country that it has enough power to threaten another in the name of peace and justice? I actually tried to look at that in all different ways, but still nope, that is not the mother who comes crying tears to save ALL her children. Those who know that they are her's and those who don't.

The long conclave prophecy is another..

For me, the fact that God does everything through love and gentleness is the reason that I run to Him or I would run the opposite way..

You know, I sat and asked our Lord one time why He didn't just appear or show himself and let me know how loving he was or to be a bit louder..

His response.. (in the stillness of my soul) "Because then Elizabeth, I would be no different from all the others that forced their opinions and wills and abused their power over you." I was amazed by this and sat and still said, "If you had told me yourself, I would have known that you were this loving."

I had always been trying to reconcile my feelings, how people treated me, and the Gospels and the scary OT within the love of God... I believed that He loved, but my inner core was so damaged that it was almost impossible to reach there.

I then came to the understanding that God was happy to wait and be patient even if it took 20 years or a whole life time for me to try to conquer my fear and to let the Gospels win over my past, so that I could truly look at His face without fear.

This is my beautiful Christ who I know and love.

So for all the above and for many other reasons, I will cry out again.. "Gospel, Gospel, Gospel" and if it doesn't tie with the Jesus who I know and love through the Gospels and His/Our Blessed Mother, then I switch off completely. But I get cross at these so called prophets too who make people too frightened to come back to God.

Can I just say that this whole problem of which "mystic" to believe was the reason why I felt called to write a book from the perspective of the popes. How much confusion and debate has all this caused. I have to be honest and say that I have been rather troubled that even after showing various documents from the CDF and papal teachings , Catechism etc that people still seem to just shrug it off and say well "So and so says this will happen" as if the popes are just another source on the same level as visionaries. Something is badly wrong. AS Mary's child said we had this all before when JP II died. Ratzinger was going to be the anti pope. Lets get back to reading Scripture, papal encyclicals, the catechism. Lets learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I think it is quite clear what people prefer.
They prefer false prophets to Gospel. Have a look how many people have some thing to say about ALL the false prophets on this forum.
In a short time these "Locutions to the world" have got so many people talking and 'believing'. o_O

Thanks be to God that I chose not to read the messages and not poison my mind!

Why now have most abandoned these prophecies?
Because it was said there will be a long conclave, and it was a quick one.
Fair enough. I drop a prophecy if there is only one prophecy that is wrong. Becasue I don't believe Jesus or Mary get prophecy wrong. Or if They say something, it never needs to be twisted to suit our own beloved or favourite apparition.

Take Garabandal. How many prophecies have had to be twisted to suit our liking.
St Pio seeing the miracle. He died!
Father Luis body to be found incorrupt after the miracle. His body has been dug up, it is not incorrupt!
Conchita is quoted as saying 3, no 4 more popes, then NO MORE. Hummmm we now have another pope!

I can give other prophecies of Garabandal that didn't come true either. But it doesn't matter, because we prefer to follow a lie, and don't give a second thought it is from SATAN, because that will spoil our prophecy that WE want.

How many people have felt they have a nudge to speak about what Jesus said in the Gospel. That thread is very quiet.
What about what 'Rain' posted regarding the eucharist. Great story. But no comment!
    Where are our hearts? Truely?

Maybe I like to have my feet firmly on the ground. I like to use my brain that the Good Lord gave me.

Is it any wonder why I only read what the Gospel says or what the Saints say.

I am learning that this is the MOST important thing we can read. No doubt!

They are the 'true' words of Jesus. No hearsay there!

oh Jane! The Gospels are life changing. The Rosary is based on them. :D

If one doesn't know their Gospels, the Rosary cannot be said well. :)

In regards to what Jane said above, I was just thinking to myself the other night that I am spending too much time chasing signs and wonders and spending way too much time tracking these prophecies instead of just cozily sitting on the couch reading God's love letter to me.
