You see, I put this and the 3 days of darkness together as the same thing. I knew I could be wrong, but it just sounded the same. “Write this: Before I come as a just Judge, I am coming first as a King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All the light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Take care in that weather.
Thanks. Well, I guess I wouldn't rush to put those things together. It could be a momentary darkness, if it is a literal darkness, before the sign of the cross is seen in the sky. We know for sure one thing - His Mercy comes first: "Before I come as just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice." (1146) And it appears He is sending a definitive Day for each: "...My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy." (1588) What is not clear is the exact nature of each Day, and their proximity to each other. In that context, it is not even certain that what is described here is the description of the Day of Mercy, but it appears that that is what He is describing: Write this: before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day. (83) If this "...coming...as the King of Mercy", and what follows, is a description of the "Day of Mercy", then we only know it is "shorty before the last day", which is then implied as the "Day of Justice", I suppose. It is hard to align this description of the Day of Mercy (apparently singular) with a "three days of darkness" prophecy, which in its description appears to have very little to do with Mercy. It seems to have more to do with the peak of the persecution and passion of the church, where it appears as if the tabernacle is desolate for 3 days, or the world is seemingly desolate of the Holy Spirit (e.g. Jonah-belly of the fish, Jesus-descends to Hell then rises on 3rd day) while demons freely roam for three days. Those parallels are probably the reason that the "three days" are thought if in context with the chatisement. Its scary description also seems consistent with the "night of screams" scariness that accompanied the viewing of the chastisement.
Thanks Jon, It's 7am here. After mass and after I do all my daily chores, I will check out the truths about the 3 days of darkness through the info you posted. If it is another lie, I will erase it from my head. I only want to go with facts, definately no hearsay. No one will die of shock at the time of illumination of conscience. One thing is for sure... We can leave this world and go into the life where there is no suffering if we enter His door of mercy. It will be the time of Jesus coming in His unfathamable Divine Mercy. This Jesus says.
Jon, you know, there is no reason for good catholics to ever discredit what a Saint says, or any apparition unless they have good reason. I believe this information you gave is correct. I will now erase any connection of 3 days of darkness to St Pio. There is alot of hearsay out there regarding our Saints. Promoters of apparitions seem to do this all the time. Yet there is never any solid grounding to support the statements. I thank you very much Jon for helping me to keep following the truth. "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy of us and on the whole world." "Jesus, I trust in You."
Just before we see the illumination of conscience, which we see because God the Father had once decided on it. This is what will happen.... JESUS SAID TO ST FAUSTINA…. “Write this: Before I come as a just Judge, I am coming first as a King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All the light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the saviour were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.” Dear Jesus, You are so good and so merciful. We are not worthy of Your goodness. But because you are full of love and forgiveness, You said you are coming in 'Your Final Coming' with such unfathamable Divine Mercy. I thank You Lord, for Your great love and mercy. Amen. "Jesus, I trust in You."
Feast of Divine Mercy is the Sunday after Easter. We can not praise and thank Jesus enough for all His goodness. From St Faustina's Diary.. 206 The next day, after Communion, I heard the voice saying, My daughter, look into the abyss of My mercy and give praise and glory to this mercy of Mine. Do it in this way: Gather all sinners from the entire world and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. I want to give Myself to souls; I yearn for souls, My daughter. On the day of My feast, the Feast of Mercy, you will go through the whole world and bring fainting souls to the spring of My mercy. I shall heal and strengthen them.
From St Faustina's Diary... 211 +Once again, a terrible darkness envelops my soul. It seems to me that I am falling prey to illusions. When I went to confession to obtain some light and peace, I did not find these at all. The confessor [66] left me with even more doubts than I had before. He said to me, "I cannot discern what power is at work in you, Sister; perhaps it is God and perhaps it is the evil spirit." When I left the confessional, I started to think about his words. The longer I did so, the deeper my soul sank into darkness. "Jesus, what am I to do?" When Jesus approached me with kindness, I was frightened. "Are you really Jesus?" On the one hand, I am drawn by love and, on the other, by fear. What torture! I cannot describe it! Like all true and wise visionaries, they question their visions. As they are aware that Satan can come in many forms and can decieve the best of us. The suffering St Faustina endured for souls is nothing but Saintly. If there was a stronger word, I would use it. Dear St Faustina, Please pray for us. We live in times of confusion, Yes, I know we create alot of our own confusions, but please ask Jesus to help us, as Satan is roaming like a wild bull through the whole world. I ask you to ask Jesus to help us to recognise His coming. Thankyou. Amen. "Jesus, I trust in You."
When we go to confession, some times it is difficult to acknowlege Jesus in the preist. Lately, I pray really hard before confession and ask Jesus to speak to me through the priest, especially when I am confused on something, and I don't know what to do. I have had some good results lately. Recently, I even confessed to the priest that I need to put more faith in Jesus, and trust He will speak to me though the priest. Last confession, I actually closed my eyes while speaking, this helped me to stay focused on Jesus. FROM ST FAUSTINA'S DIARY........ 232 +Before confession, I heard these words in my soul, My daughter, tell him everything and reveal your soul to him as you do before Me. Do not fear anything. It is to keep you in peace that I place this priest between your soul and Myself. The words he will speak to you are My words. Reveal to him your soul's greatest secrets. I will give him light to know your soul. "Jesus, I trust in You."
Freedom, Maybe I've had my head buried in the sand, but this is the first week I've seen you posting in ages! Glad to see you back and have a grace-filled trip! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Jon, yesterday I asked our local Franciscan priest about the 3 days of Darkness. He backed up what you said. Thanks again.
To love Jesus 'to the point of madness' as St Faustina did. How much do we really love Jesus? I know personally I need to love Him so much more. It must hurt Christ so much that I don't give Him the love He deserves. Something I must work on. I think any relationship requires work. If you just take it for granted it tends to dwindle away. From St Faustina's Diary.. 267 Jesus told me that I please Him best by meditating on His sorrowful Passion, and by such meditation much light falls upon my soul. He who wants to learn true humility should reflect upon the Passion of Jesus. When I meditate upon the Passion of Jesus, I get a clear understanding of many things I could not comprehend before. I want to resemble You, O Jesus,-You crucified, tortured and humiliated. Jesus, imprint upon my heart and soul Your own humility. I love You, Jesus, to the point of madness, You who were crushed with suffering as described by the prophet [cf. Isaiah 53:2-9], as if he could not see the human form in You because of Your great suffering. It is in this condition, Jesus, that I love You to the point of madness. O eternal and infinite God, what has love done to You?...
St Faustina endured so much suffering in which offered for the souls of sinners. I don't know how she did it. If I were sick or in pain, would I complain about it? But here Jesus tells St Faustina not to mention her suffering to others. He wanted her suffering to be totally pure. 279 God made known to me what true love consists in and gave light to me about how, in practice, to give proof of it to Him. True love of God consists in carrying out God's will. To show God our love in what we do, all our actions, even the least, must spring from our love of God. And the Lord said to me, My child, you please Me most by suffering. In your physical as well as your mental sufferings, My daughter, do not seek sympathy from creatures. I want the fragrance of your suffering to be pure and unadulterated. I want you to detach yourself, not only from creatures, but also from yourself. My daughter, I want to delight in the love of your heart, a pure love, virginal, unblemished, untarnished. The more you will come to love suffering, My daughter, the purer your love for Me will be.
I am jealous of anyone going to any Marian Shrine at this time of human history. The graces will be just enormous. Be sure to go to the crss that leaks oil at the back of the Church. Pray on front of the statue of Our Lady in the Church. be sure not to miss any talks in the pastoral centre..or concerts. Sit a while and watch the huge queues going into confession. There is an unusual little shrine to Padre Pio at the head of the town which I took great comfort in. I am hopng to get to America this year if I can. If not I will go to Garabandal. I do not know if I can afford them both. If I can get down to Garabandal maybe LOurdes and Fatima as well. If ever there was a time to visit a Marian SHrine this is it.
Last year, I went to Lourdes, Fatima and Garabandal. But personally, I find the greatest graces are given at our daily mass. It is during the mass where we witness a miracle. So Padraig, don't worry if you don't get to these places as those same graces are at your local church. But I wish you well in getting to your favourite Marian Shrine, as they are still special, and it's great imagining what it was like eg.. at Fatima in 1917 when there was the miracle of the sun.
Behind my garage at home is a rock garden where we've placed a statue of Our Lady. Whenever we had a significant snowstorm this winter, I've shoveled a path to the garden and tenderly unburied Our Lady as a sign of my love. Let every pilgrimage to the Blessed Mother's sites be motivated by a heart bursting for love of her. Heart to heart unleashes the greatest of graces! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
I have heard a few times people say you don't need to go to the Marian Shrines like Medjugorje or any others. That you have the greatest miracle in your local Church during Mass. I always thought that was true and still do but I then heard this one girl on a video while giving her testimony on Medjugorje say yes that is true but it is also true that while visiting a place like Medjugorje (which was for her in her story) or Lourdes or where ever else...while on a pilgrimage there, in a very powerful way, Mary can teach us to understand and love and receive the Sacraments like the Mass (Eucharist) and Confession in a much more profound way which enable us and open us to receive many more graces. That really stuck with me. She said that is what happened to her when she returned back home.
Yes. Mary comes to us to lead us to Her Son, and She does this in a very humble way. Hail Mary, full of grace....... We are very lucky to know Mary has come to us.
Hi Jane, I am curious. Did you have the same experience as the girl I mentioned in the video? You have said that you visited some of the most popular Marian Shrines including Medjugorje. After your visits there, were you transformed or changed in even the smallest way that your experience of the Sacraments like the Eucharist or Confession when you returned home was more profound?
My kids used to make little shawls and capes for Jesus and Mary statues in our front yard! It was precious!
Hummmm. I hope by me answering this honestly dosen't get me banned. (I am speaking from my heart as best I can and trying to stay close to what Jesus wants from me.) I haven't heard what this girl said in the video. But I can probablly guess, and do I believe her recieving a great feeling of love. In 2011, I went to Fatima, Garabandal and Medjugorje. In 2012, I went to Lourdes, Fatima and Garabandal. Was I transformed more than when I go to daily mass? Then? 'Yes'. Now? 'No.' Why? What changed? Jesus is everywhere. He is always calling us. Where we allow Jesus to come into our hearts, depends on how and when we decide to open our hearts to Him. This is true, think about it, do you agree? When we are in these Marion places, we are looking for something, we tend to open our hearts, we want to 'feel' something. We want to believe. We certainly love the thought The Mother of God is appearing or has appeared at a place. be back soon.. To continue, hang on....
