I read an article somewhere in which it said the Italian Bishops had asked Holy Father to allow them to open the Churches in Italy again, and Holy Father said no, they would need to do what the Government told them. I had wondered how on earth the Church around the whole world had closed it's doors to the people. I believe this unanimous decision came from the Vatican. Which leads me to wonder if the Holy Father was behind throwing the whole Church under the bus, same as the Catholic Church in China. Was the China-Vatican deal just a practice run for the new norm for us Catholics worldwide. Has the Church handed over it's authority to the state. Wouldn't we be better off dead than live in a world where God has to take second place to the government. I thought God should come first. And keeping Holy the Sabbath Day surely comes before any government, unless we are living under communist rule.

Isn't there an old saying, "We get the leaders we deserve." Certainly there has been an infiltration, but the firewall of sacramental life, prayer and fasting has been abandoned for many decades. Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Neither, only God. We need look no further than the end of our own noses. The buck stops there. I agree. The laity has gotten very comfortable with Catholic-lite. No hell. No fasting. No serious prayer life.("relax. God loves you.") No repentence. No confession. No belief in the Real Presence. I daresay many will kick and s ream and walk out if we return to real Catholic life. Egypt is very comfortable. Sodom is all about diversity isnt it?

Evil does the exact opposite of the Holy. It reminds me in this instance that it is Jesus I follow, not men. If there is one thing good about all this total wickedness it is to teach us to rely and turn totally to God and not on men. Certainly there have been evil people in the highest places in the Church before and in every generation. Nevertheless this present generation of wicked scoundrels have upped the bar to a new eye popping level which most scandalise even the demons that led them. For they could even show the demons a trick or two. A sure Sign of the Coming anti Christ. Anyway , thank God I don't live in Rome.
