We do use a pressure cooker. My hubby loves canning meat for stews and things in the winters. Vegetables and fruit is my thing. It is fun but a lot of work. My mom and dad taught us kids and we taught ours because it is just a fun thing to do. We don't really live in a society that needs canning but given the recent run at the grocery stores from covid, it can only be positive. They have the new strips you can buy to test the jars when you open them which makes me feel better safety wise.

Jo M...if you can order clove on the internet it will help with tooth ache pain. My dentist used it for dry socket....extremely effective! Strong sent. Look for medical grade for dental health. hope it’s goes away soon!

Little Voice hasn't posted in a while and I've been wondering how he is. Hope he has fully recovered from the virus. Also, isn't Luan Ribero in Brazil? There was a segment on the news about Brazil and it looks like the virus is spreading quickly there. They showed where a cemetery is being expanded by the addition of many hundreds of graves in preparation for victims of the virus. May the Lord protect Luan and his family from this dreadful virus.

Ralph Martin is the author of a great book, 'Will Many Be Saved' (which I recently read and highly commend), in which he provides a balanced demolition of the modernist tendency of universal salvation. He came across in the book as a very sober, wise man, unlikely to be carried away by 'enthusiasm'. I would be very slow to dismiss anything from that quarter.
I just wanted to share with the group that my 91 year old mom who is completely independent and living at home fell about 4 weeks ago and fractured her shoulder. We have been caring for her at home to keep her out of the hospital. She seems to have developed a mild pneumonia from inactivity and immobility. We brought her to an Urgent Care for a chest xray and antibiotics but they went FULL COVID on her and masked her and sent her across the street to the big hospital. She was tested for Covid and pulmonary embolism and was put on IV antibiotics and had blood cultures. Her diagnosis is rule out Covid. I am a nurse and don't think she has Covid but this is a reactionary type of medicine now. Hopefully she will go home today or tomorrow and the nurse indicated her Covid results were good but couldn't say until the doc comes in this AM. If she doesn't have COVID her risk is certainly much greater sitting in an ER filled with COVID yesterday. On top of this, I could not go in as NO VISITORS EVER is ongoing. My niece is a Physician's Assist at the hospital and her and her team have been sneaking in to see mom at the window of her private Covid room. I talked to her today and she is doing well. I just want to get her out of there.
