    Hi Earth to Angels
I have two questions...... you say that Fr Iannuzzi book bears ecclesiastical approval of a 'pontifical university of Rome'

Question 1) May I ask which pontifical university of Rome, as there are currently 26, I believe?

Secondly according to cannon law (c.827.3) a local Bishop must judge and give approval of any Catholic works that state they bear ecclesiastical approval; however the Local Bishop can of course establish a commission of censors (c.830.1) with a censor librorum (c.830.2)

Question 2) Who was the the censor librorum in Fr Iannuzzi case, with his book "The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta" and who was the local bishop who established the commission of censors?

The book by Fr Iannuzzi "The Gift of Living in the Divine Will in the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta" was published on August 29th 2013 by Saint Andrew's Productions.

However we can see that in 2017 that Fr Iannuzzi threatened to take legal action against Emmet O'Regan for publishing a letter from the Archbishop of Trani on his blog, this letter of Archbishop of Trani confirmed that Fr Iannuzzi had breached the moratorium placed on the writings of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.

The Oblates of St. Joseph Confirm that Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi is not a Priest in Good Standing

As long time readers of this blog will know, both myself and English author Stephen Walford have repeatedly encountered a very vocal opposition to our respective works on eschatology, which directly stems from the followers of Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi (see here). In the aftermath of Fr. Iannuzzi's attempt to take legal action against me in April 2017, I decided to investigate him in greater detail, and over the course of the past year, I have turned up some rather unsettling findings. Fr. Iannuzzi had originally threatened to take legal action against me for publishing a letter from the Archbishop of Trani on my blog which confirmed that he had breached the moratorium which was placed on the writings of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta (see the posts on this subject here and here).

Although he was at one time associated with the Oblates of St. Joseph (OSJ), I have recently discovered that Fr. Iannuzzi has been operating outside of his religious community for a number of years without the permission of his superiors, and has refused to give a report of his activities for an extensive period of time. I had recently asked a friend who is a widely respected academic to attempt to contact the major superior of the OSJ, Fr. Michel Piscopo. Although we have yet to hear from Fr. Piscopo himself, the general secretary of the OSJ gave the following response concerning Fr. Iannuzzi's standing within his own religious order:

    Egregio Signore, pace e bene.

Distinti saluti, p. Giocondo A. Bronzini, segretario generale OSJ.

    Dear Sir, peace and goodness.

Fr Joseph Iannuzzi has asked many times for exclaustration, moving from one diocese (or religious community) to another, making it practically impossible to control his conduct. For his part, for years he has not given the Superiors report of his activities. He is currently outside the community without permission.

    Yours sincerely,

    p. Giocondo A. Bronzini, OSJ general secretary.

So even before his departure from the OSJ without the permission of his religious superiors, Fr. Iannuzzi had repeatedly sought exclaustration in order to flit between dioceses or religious communities, so that he could diffuse his own unique brand of Catholic eschatology as widely as possible. This was facilitated by organising and participating in Marian conferences that were largely unregulated by the local dioceses, and simultaneously driven by an unhealthy undercurrent of spurious private revelations. The iterant nature of his ministry, which he ensured was largely unregulated by his religious community for several years before his departure, meant that his conduct was practically impossible to control by his religious superiors or the local ordinaries of the dioceses in which he was operating.

Fr. Iannuzzi has a number of books on Catholic eschatology which are published by St. Andrew’s Productions in the diocese of Pittsburgh, which do not bear the imprimi potest of his religious superior or carry the imprimatur or nihil obstat of the competent ecclesiastical authority. This is obviously because of the heretical nature of the eschatological views he espouses throughout his works, which are centred around his interpretation of the theme of “living in the Divine Will”, as contained in the writings of Luisa Piccarreta. Iannuzzi uses the concept of “living in the Divine Will” to explain how evil will completely cease to exist on earth during his millenarian vision of the Millennium of Revelation 20. Iannuzzi exploits this concept in order to negate the biggest shortcoming of his expectation of such an extreme utopian society, which is completely opposed to the permanent reality of human freewill. The Church clearly teaches that evil will continue to exist on earth as long as humankind has free choice and the capacity to make their own decisions. As the conciliar document Gaudiem et spes states:

Sacred Scripture teaches the human family what the experience of the ages confirms: that while human progress is a great advantage to man, it brings with it a strong temptation. For when the order of values is jumbled and bad is mixed with the good, individuals and groups pay heed solely to their own interests, and not to those of others. Thus it happens that the world ceases to be a place of true brotherhood. In our own day, the magnified power of humanity threatens to destroy the race itself.

For a monumental struggle against the powers of darkness pervades the whole history of man. The battle was joined from the very origins of the world and will continue until the last day, as the Lord has attested. Caught in this conflict, man is obliged to wrestle constantly if he is to cling to what is good, nor can he achieve his own integrity without great efforts and the help of God's grace.

That is why Christ's Church, trusting in the design of the Creator, acknowledges that human progress can serve man's true happiness, yet she cannot help echoing the Apostle's warning: "Be not conformed to this world" (Rom. 12:2). Here by the world is meant that spirit of vanity and malice which transforms into an instrument of sin those human energies intended for the service of God and man.

    (Gaudium et spes 37).

The concept of a future earthly millennial kingdom of the resurrected saints has been widely proliferated in American society and beyond within some circles of Catholicism and Fr. Iannuzzi’s academic credentials have elevated him to the leadership role in this nascent millenarian cult, which has been loosely termed as the "Divine Will Movement". This attempt to equate the period of peace promised by Our Lady of Fatima with an entire epoch of earthly material bliss after an invisible "middle coming" of Christ to reign in the Eucharist, is directly modelled on the eschatology of Joachim de Fiore, which was vehemently opposed by St. Thomas Aquinas (see Summa Theologica I-II, Q. cvi, a. 4) and was condemned by the Church in the Middle Ages.

Fr. Iannuzzi threatened to litigate me in April last year for exposing the fact that he had breached a moratorium on the writings of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta. This threat of legal action came almost immediately after I had published a letter from Archbishop Pichierri confirming his breach of this moratorium on my blog. Fr. Iannuzzi uses Piccarreta’s writings in order to support his own Joachite/millenarian views on the interpretation of Rev 20.

After receiving this threat of legal action, I decided to be very careful, and conducted a considerable amount of research on Fr. Iannuzzi before publishing any other details on his rather troubling ministry. During the course of this research, I have discovered that Fr. Iannuzzi has a number of private business interests, including one in Jacksonville Florida operating under the name “Missionaries of the Holy Trinity”. The listings for this site found elsewhere on the internet cites Fr. Iannuzzi as the business owner, and it is clear that this is a civilly organised operation, in no way affiliated with the local diocese. He conducts this business operation from a property he has apparently privately owned in Jacksonville for a number of years. The content of the books he has published are heretical in nature, and as such, do not bear the imprimi potest of his religious superior in the Oblates of St. Joseph.

The influence of these books in North America has been vast, reaching perhaps hundreds of thousands through his various disciples who have a notable presence on Catholic social media. As such, Fr. Iannuzzi can rightly be labelled as the de facto leader of the largest millenarian cult currently operating with impunity in the modern Catholic Church.

Fr. Iannuzzi also owns a separate property at the compound of the Companions of Christ the Lamb in Paradise, Michigan, from where he conducts a separate business interest called “The Association of Priests, Inc”. If you click through the various annual reports of this organisation, you can see that Fr. Iannuzzi had originally used the same lawyer during the formation period of this business operation who he used to threaten both myself and Archbishop Pichierri - one Eric L. Hearn (see here). This particular legal document dates way back to June 2001.

I contacted Bishop Doerfler of the diocese of Marquette about Fr. Iannuzzi's activities at the compound of the the Companions of Christ the Lamb, and he responded that he had no knowledge that Fr. Iannuzzi was the owner of a property there, or that he was conducting a private business operation from it. Bishop Doerfler confirmed that Fr. Iannuzzi had served in Marquette diocese for a short while between 2005-2006, but that was the extent of his knowledge about his ministry there. So why exactly does Fr. Iannuzzi still own a property in Marquette diocese if it has no knowledge of his activities there? And why is this private business organisation called "Association of Priest, Inc" organised at this address?

As you can see from the annual reports linked to above, this business was previously located in Jacksonville, FL. Whilst the "Association of Priests, Inc" was in operation in Florida, it bought and sold a number of properties. The “Association of Priests, Inc” otherwise known as the “Association of Priests Corporation”, also lists Fr. Iannuzzi as its owner/operator. The Association of Priests, Inc was registered as a tax-exempt charitable organisation by the IRS (see here). Bizarrely, the following official LINCC site lists the Association of Priests Inc as a Protestant organisation headed by Fr. Iannuzzi, and stipulates that it was generating a yearly revenue of over $100,000 (see here). For example the tax form found here shows that Fr. Iannuzzi's Association of Priests, Inc pulled in net assets of $140,766 in 2002. In 2003 it was $123,337 (here). In 2004 $101,763 (here). He then started reporting losses in 2005 with net assets dropping to $34,121 (here), around the same time he shifted to Marquette diocese.

The following site here shows that the Association of Priests Inc was given a grant of $10,000 sometime around the year 2015 by the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program, which may be indicative that it receives such a grant on a yearly basis. This other website here shows that it was given two separate grants of $12,000 and $10,000 in 2016. I have asked Bishop Doerfler to investigate this matter further, since his diocese is not benefiting in any way from these charitable grants.

The fact that Iannuzzi is conducting such a destructive priestly ministry without the permission or regulation of any ecclesiastical authorities is an enormous concern. Especially when this ministry is pulling in revenue from a variety of sources, including online donations, attending seminars and book and DVD sales. This revenue appears to enable Fr. Iannuzzi to travel all over the world in order to promote his millenarian eschatology to thousands of unsuspecting Catholics who are unfamiliar with the actual teachings of the Church on this matter. He does so at various Marian conferences or talkshops in religious communities, and frequently travels with Vassula Ryden in order to support her ministry, despite the fact that the CDF issued a notification against her in 1995 for espousing millenarianism (see here and here).

The disturbing nature of Fr. Iannuzzi’s renegade priestly ministry, combined with the sheer fanaticism of his followers presents a very grave concern. This situation has gone on for way too long, and now needs to face proper public scrutiny. Why has this priest been allowed to act with impunity for so long without being condemned by the relevant Church authorities? The fact that he has created such a cult following for himself is deeply troubling, and the sooner the various heresies he espouses are finally addressed by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith the better.

This apparently well-researched post of Emmett O'Regan certainly gives me pause, Josephite, because about one month ago I posted a favorable response to a lecture which Fr. Iannuzzi had given concerning the theology of living in the Divine Will. :(

    Hi Mario,
I believe many saints have given their little will to God, just as Jesus taught us to do in the garden of Gethsemane. This is the most magnificent offering to His Divine Majesty. By doing this, they lived the will of God. And it is what we all hope to accomplish.

Where I differ when examining the current translations of Lusia's writings, is that we are to believe this is a new revelation?

But Jesus himself tells us that the Kingdom of God belongs to the child, He makes things beautifully simple, it is not complicated.

He says if you give a glass of water in My name, you have given it to me!

In other words you have lived the Divine Will.

  6. Josephite,
Hopefully this further information might cause you to look beyond an already selected personal opinion's choice of back up.

In 2012 the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, authorized by the Holy See, gave its official ecclesiastical approval to Rev. Iannuzzi’s doctoral thesis on Luisa’s doctrines. In 2013 this thesis received the written accolades of over 25 USA Catholic bishops that ensure sound doctrinal content for the Christian faithful.

Beyond that general bit of noted approval as a beginning, below is offered more helpful facts. But, my my the love for a personal opinion and one that is dishonest and contains error as basis for gossip against a good priest when normally this is the kind of priest that the forum promotes is pretty disconcerting.

RE: your chosen source, "Mr. Emmett O'Regan":

    Very Rev Eugene O’Hagan,
Vicar General & Chancellor of the Diocese of Down an Connor,

I am writing as a Catholic layman to express my gratitude for your letter of 22nd December 2017 in response to a certain Emmett O’Regan who resides in your Diocese:

    (that letter):

    https://www.queenofthedivinewill.or...iocese-letter-on-Emmett-having-no-support.pdf

    (they don't know him)!!
    .........
Below I share the Roman Superior General’s letter with you along with Emmett’s false assertions that provoked this letter.

Perhaps you may already know that Emmett’s real name is John (Emmett) O’Regan who is 41 years old and lives with his parents at 6 Lake Glen Green in Belfast, Ireland and, for reasons unknown, prefers not to be addressed by his Christian name of John. Two Catholic theologians that reviewed his blog and works have found that he nurtures a penchant for extravagant apocalyptic teachings and makes false assertions which I thought to bring to your attention.

Falsehood: John O’Regan has posted the defamatory statement on his public blog dated Feb. 11, 2018: “The Oblates of St. Joseph Confirm that Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi is not a Priest in Good Standing.” He asserts that this information comes from a Fr. Bronzini whom Emmett claims is the OSJ Secretary General and the second in charge of the Congregation.

Falsehood unmasked: In February 2018 Fr. Giocondo Bronzini was informed of Emmett’s false blog assertions using his name, and he informed the OSJ Superior General of the Roman Curia of their false nature. This prompted the following official ecclesiastical letter from the Superior General of the OSJ Congregation, thus revealing the falsehood of Emmett’s assertions that he still posts on his blog today in Belfast. Consider that this official ecclesiastical letter in defense of Fr. Joseph comes 17 days after Emmett’s false blog posting attacking Fr. Joseph without bases:

    ........
To Emmett’s discredit Fr. Bronzini is not the Secretary General of the OSJ nor is he the second in command, as Emmett falsely asserts. Indeed, on the blog there is found only Emmett’s typed words and the name of Fr. Bronzini that Emmett puts forth – there is no document, no dated letter, no signature and no seal from Fr. Bronzini or from the OSJ Curia.

It is interesting that Emmett presently solicits monies on the internet at a ‘gofundme’ account and has thus far raised nearly $2,000.00 (1,381 Pounds). Perplexing is the fact he claims on his gofundme page to be soliciting monies because he has defended Pope Francis which has caused him to gone broke and no longer find people to buy his books; he is moreover soliciting monies with the hope of being accepted into a theology program. This seems unusual, as Emmett has not obtained a customary letter of recommendation to a Catholic University by an ecclesiastical authority.

Falsehood: Emmett falsely asserts that Fr. Joseph violated a moratorium on the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta’s writings contained in his Doctoral Dissertation, which is approved by the Pontifical University of Rome with high honors.

Falsehood unmasked: Had Emmett done his research he would have readily discovered that before embarking upon his Doctoral Dissertation from the Pontifical University of Rome approved with high honors, Fr. Joseph requested and obtained in writing an official ecclesiastical letter from the Archdiocese of Italy that is entrusted with the writings and Cause of Luisa’s Cause for Beatification explicitly endorsing his doctoral studies on the writings of Luisa at the Pontifical University of Rome (see footnote 1). Further indicating the falsehood of Emmett’s assertion is that nowhere does he provide any documentation of a moratorium, but himself invokes the word moratorium again without documentation or ecclesial support.

Truth be told, the Archbishop of Trani G.B. Pichierri and Fr. Joseph’s Religious Superiors have publicly dismissed Emmett’s false assertions with official ecclesial letters on Fr. Joseph’s behalf. On January 29, 2002 the Archbishop of Trani issued to Fr. Joseph a formal letter formally granting him permission to commence his doctoral studies on the writings of the Servant of God

    1
Doctoral Dissertation was unanimously approved magnum cum laude by the Gregorian Pontifical

Luisa Piccarreta at the Gregorian Pontifical University.
University of Rome, bearing the seals of approbation for publication.

    2

1 On Jan. 29, 2002 the Archdiocese of Trani issued the following written, signed and sealed letter to the Gregorian Pontifical University on behalf of Fr. Iannuzzi’s Doctoral Dissertation: “In response to your request for a letter for the moderator of your doctoral thesis... I can assure you that there are no objections for the scientific research on the writings... of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta” (“In risposta alla tua richiesta di una lettera per il moderatore della tua tesi di dottorato... posso assicurarti che non vi sono obiezioni per l‟approfondimento scientifico degli scritti... della Serva di Dio Luisa Piccarreta”).

2 On November 22, 2012 Fr. Iannuzzi publically presented before the theological faculty and student body of the Gregorian Pontifical University the Doctoral Dissertation entitled, “The Operations of the Divine and Human Will in the Writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta – An Inquiry into the Early Ecumenical Councils, and into Patristic, Scholastic and Contemporary Theology”. The dissertation was approved with high honors by said university which is authorized by the Holy See.

After the November 22, 2012 successful public presentation of his Doctoral Dissertation on the writings of the Servant of God Luisa, on December 12, 2012 the Pontifical University of Rome authorized Fr. Iannuzzi to publish said doctoral dissertation affirming, “Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi... you shall be called ‘Doctor in Spirituality’ after you have published your dissertation, consigned the requested copies to the Secretary’s Academic Office and obtained approbation from the Censors” (“P. Joseph Iannuzzi... sarà dichiarato “Dottore in Spiritualità” dopo che avrà pubblicato la sua dissertazione, ne avrà consegnato le copie richieste in Segreteria Accademica e avrà ottenuto l‟approvazione dei Censori” ). In the official signed and sealed document of January 11, 2013, said Censors granted “approbation magum cum laude” to Fr. Iannuzzi’s doctoral dissertation on Luisa’s writings and authorize its “publication”.

    .......

The lay faithful who have known John O’Regan (Emmett) and have shared their impression of him, readily acknowledge that he has openly written and spoken against to the writings of the Church-approved Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, several of which bear the Magisterial Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat, and of another mystic whose writings bear the Magisterium’s Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat. They further contest that Emmett’s false assertions against Fr. Joseph is due in part to Fr. Joseph’s having successfully demonstrated before the faculty of theology in Rome the orthodoxy of the writings of these mystics that bear the Church’s official seals of approbation. Still, one wonders how long Emmett will continue to post public falsehoods against a priest in good standing that appears to violate the Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law 220 and 1390, §2.

    MORE:

    Also......

Corato is entrusted with Luisa’s writings and beatification, but not with the interpretation of her “doctrines” which is to us laity who want to follow Magisterial teachings the most important thing! I found out that the Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law (cans. 815-817) that is universally binding on all Christians and especially on all clergy, does not grant to Corato the power to “authorize” or “approve” a theological doctoral dissertation on Luisa’s writings or doctrines, rather it grants this power to an “Ecclesiastical University”. And Fr. Joseph has obtained from the Ecclesiastical Pontifical University of Rome, which is authorized by the Apostolic See (the Vatican), this approval and authorization to publish his Doctoral Dissertation on Luisa’s writings.

    ......

In the official document of January 11, 2013, the above censors granted “approval magum cum laude” (high honors) to Fr. Iannuzzi’s doctoral dissertation on the doctrines found in Luisa’s writings and authorized its “publication”. And in accordance with Church law governing all Ecclesiastical Universities, extracts of this Doctoral Dissertation were then printed and distributed to 40 Ecclesiastical Universities.

Furthermore, since Corato cannot grant authorization to publish a Doctoral Dissertation on Luisa’s writings – only the Ecclesiastical University can do so – Corato granted the maximum it could to Fr. Joseph, namely “permission” to write a Doctoral Dissertation in the following letter of January 29, 2002 from the Corato Archdiocese:

“In response to your request for a letter for the moderator of your doctoral thesis... I can assure you that there are no objections for the scientific research on the writings... of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.”

    ......

Among the many accolades of over 45 Catholic bishops, consider the following statements that express in writing their esteem for Fr. Joseph's Doctoral Dissertation on the doctrines in Luisa’s writings:

    “Such scholarly work provides an essential service to the Church and to the New Evangelization”;

    “This will be of great service to the Church on behalf of this Servant of God who has had such incredibly mystical experiences. Thank you very much for taking care of the publicity and publication of this wonderful work”;

    .........

I hope this information resolves the recent confusion, and I heartily recommend Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi as the only present-day “theologian” (doctoral alumnus) who is faithfully promoting Luisa’s writings in according with teachings of the Church’s Magisterium.

ETA below are just some of his Eminence Archbishop Pichierri correspondance on this whole sordid matter. Lord have mercy.

Just over a month before his death, Archbishop Pichierri had sent a note to Fr. Iannuzzi's attorney on 11th June, 2017, confirming that Fr. Iannuzzi's diffusion of the writings of Luisa Piccarreta properly belongs with that detailed in his third communication of 2012:

    Dear Attorney Eric L. Hearn,

I received your letter of May 22, 2017 in which you refer my attention to the article that Mr. Emmett O’Regan posted on the internet in relation to Rev. Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi.
On May 3, 2017 the Archiepiscopal Curia and I welcomed Rev. Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi who explained to me the specifics contained within Emmet’s letter. In this regard, I desire to indicate that that which I am to share with you about the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta is all contained already in the Communcation n.3 which I hereby attach. Therefore Rev. Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi’s work of research and diffusion undertaken in relation to the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta is properly understood in light of this declaration [Communication] of mine to which, to this day, I have made no additions, as there have not been any new developments to the Cause of Beatification and Canonization that are underway at the Holy See.
Moreover since Fr. Joseph is not canonically affiliated with this archdiocese, I am convinced that his good reputation, which I have never called into question, will be best reaffirmed by his legitimate Superior.
I assure you of my prayers in your esteemed work, and I extend to you my warm greetings.

    Giovan Basttista Pichierri
    Archbishop

    And additionally.....

    Trani, March 30, 2017 Prot. 128/17 / C2
    Dear Mr. Emmett O'Regan,

Dear Mr. Emmett O'Regan, I received your e-mail of 21 February 2017 which informed me of your study and the response made on the publications of the priest Joseph Iannuzzi. Point out that this priest does not belong to this Archdiocese and did not receive from me any authorization, permission or warrant of any kind and in relation to publications both in reference to their study and diffusion. Right now the Archdiocese and the Association "Luisa Piccarreta - PFDV" are engaged in the typical edition processing and critical writings of the Servant of God on the basis of which it will be possible to complete the necessary translations in other languages and additional theological research to be conducted. In any event, all of the official study activities at this time are agreed and coordinated in harmony with the Congregation for the Causes of Saints through the postulation. I assure you full availability for any further clarification, I greet you cordially and a Happy Easter.

    Giovan Battista Pichierri
    Archbishop

    And additionally.....

I still observe with sorrow that “the doctrine of the Divine Will has not always been presented in a correct and respectful way, according to the doctrine and the Magisterium of the Church, putting remarks in the mouth of Luisa that are not even implicitly found in her writings. This provokes a trauma in consciences and even confusion and rejection among the people and by some Priests and Bishops” (Letter of March 9, 2006)...

...The Congregation subsequently has communicated to me that “before proceeding any further, an examination of the writings of the Servant of God will be done, in order to clarify difficulties of a theological nature.”... (Para 3)

    And additionally.....

Likewise, I recall what I have already communicated: “Neither the Archdiocese nor the Association nor the Secretariat has delegated any person, group or other association, in any way, to represent them outside of their legitimate locations, to spread knowledge about the life, thought and writings of the Servant of God or to make any decision in their names. From the moment that the Diocesan Inquiry was begun, the Archdiocese has never officially designated any Theologian or Censor for the writings of Luisa. Likewise, it has never nominated any official translator of the writings from Italian into any other language” (Communication of April 23, 2007)...

“As I have already expressed at the conclusion of the diocesan phase of the Cause, it is my desire, after having heard the opinion of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, to present a typical and critical edition of the writings in order to provide the faithful with a trustworthy text of the writings of Luisa Piccarreta. So I repeat, the said writings are exclusively the property of the Archdiocese” (Letter to Bishops of October 14, 2006). To accomplish this demanding work that requires a certain kind of competence, I shall avail myself of a team of experts chosen in agreement with the Postulation.

Nevertheless, I must mention the growing and unchecked flood of transcriptions, translations and publications both through print and the internet. At any rate, “seeing the delicacy of the current phase of the proceedings, any and every publication of the writings is absolutely forbidden at this time. Anyone who acts against this is disobedient and greatly harms the cause of the Servant of God.” (Communication of May 30, 2008). All effort must be invested in avoiding all “leaks” of publications of any kind.

Going on the above communications all I can say is, Poor, Poor Archbishop Pichierri

May he rest in much deserved Peace. Amen

This really isn’t about Emmett. It’s about some irregularities with Fr Iannuzzi. Serious ones.

  14. Fr. I's thesis permission went from the Archdiocese to the Vatican. After that it was the Vatican that permitted the publishing of it as researched w/ no error. It is permitted to be out there and people can read it. Take it up with those who did the approving and granting that permission at the Vatican. Unfortunately you rely on a debunked individual with a personal ax to grind and that has influenced what he has sent out disingenuously to certain individuals w/ the intention of devaluing the good reputation of his chosen victims. So what the Ab replied to in such personal complaints against Fr. I was limited by that intention and by the fact that where this thesis of Fr. I was concerned it had moved beyond his power of control and laid with the control of the Vatican, beyond the writings under his personal control.

Corato cannot grant authorization to publish a Doctoral Dissertation on Luisa’s writings – only the Ecclesiastical University can do so.

The Catholic Church’s Code of Canon Law (cans. 815-817) that is universally binding on all Christians and especially on all clergy, does not grant to Corato the power to “authorize” or “approve” a theological doctoral dissertation on Luisa’s writings or doctrines, rather it grants this power to an “Ecclesiastical University”. Fr. Joseph has obtained from the Ecclesiastical Pontifical University of Rome, which is authorized by the Apostolic See (the Vatican), this approval and authorization to publish his Doctoral Dissertation on Luisa’s writings.

Your argument, as everything stands in reality, is with the Apostolic See's own authorization. Argue with them with such a poor and unreliable source and see if you can change their own experts' actions. Of course you can always burn his books!

I’m not trying to convince you. That’s not going to happen. But there are many grave concerns about this “devotion” and the people involved in it. Maybe someone besides you might learn about it and benefit from it. That’s my focus and prayerful hope.

  16. Not that you addressed this to me necessarily but I can assure you that many many people all over the world are learning....and living out as best they can....this new holiness that is offered purely as a gift in order that the Father's will, from the beginning, as He had given to Adam in its purity and which was spurned when Adam left that Will in order to live in his own and that has been our existence ever since. Now in the Father's time He wishes us to return to that "garden" w/ the preternatural gifts which some have already displayed to some extent like for instance "bi-location" as with Padre Pio....and so many other examples of these gifts. So it's been hinted to us in part through many holy individuals throughout history. It's nothing new since it was there in the beginning but as yet still waiting to be lived, again, in full. You can't plunge in all at once but just reviewing the lives of those who already have lived at least partially in this Divine Will....literally bringing heaven to earth....like St. Faustina (called a living host....meaning given over to Jesus for Him to live fully within her by the permission of her own free will, leaving it in order to make room totally for Him), St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, Dina Belanger and others....you can get an idea. Once one comprehends this as a gracious gift of His Mercy one can edge in gradually to this new opening to His greatest Love for us, desiring this complete sharing and fusion in one another. As we give to Him He gets His greatest delight and He responds so that it becomes a constant reciprocal giving and receiving. This kind of reciprocity of Love is His happiness and desire from the beginning of creation. And the more you learn about it the more you can experience.

Permission from the Gregorian Pontifical University for a priest to publish a doctoral thesis, without the requirement of obtaining an nihil obstat, imprimi potest and imprimatur for the said work seems highly irregular, when one considers Cannon 832.

Members of religious institutes are absolutely bound to obtain 'imprimi potest' from their religious superior. The imprimi potest (Latin "it can be printed"), is required of priests from their major superior of their religious order, as part of exercising their vow of obedience, which is made in addition to the requirement of imprimatur. As CIC Can. 832 stipulates!

Or has Cannon 832 been made null and void?

So her long time spiritual director, confessor and the one who gave her Eucharist daily, Saint Hannibal, was fooled and those who knew her not, are wise in judgement against this saintly woman who was surrounded with mysticalness/saintliness? I would take her long time, day to day, canonized saint any day over those who knew her not and cannot discern her mysticalness and holiness, such as living on nothing but the holy Eucharist for decades. Anyone on this forum want to try this and see how long you can pull this off? "By their fruits you shall know them". Few have had the mystical experiences that Luisa did for many many decades, viewed by a canonized saint/spiritual director/ holy priest.

I think it is wonderful that people all over the world are learning the truths of the Holy Catholic faith! Our Lord Jesus was both God and Man having both a Human Will and a Divine Will.

The first man Adam did indeed use his freewill to disobey God but as we learn from Jesus we can use our beautiful freewill to obey God!

Our human will gives us the freedom to choose what is right.

Jesus teaches through His public ministry and especially in his agony in the garden that His Human will when freely given to His divine Will is magnificent!
In the Paternoster we hear Our lord ask for Gods will to be done on earth as it is done in heaven! this prayer needs to be and will be prayed until the second coming of Christ, because than it will reach its culmination and be fully accomplished singularly by His second coming.

St Jerome, St Augustine and Pope St Leo the great, give wonderful insight into the Holy human Will of Jesus!

Mt 26:38 • “Then he saith to them: My soul is sorrowful even unto death: stay you here, and watch with me.”
Mt 26:39 • “And going a little further, he fell upon his face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
The cause of our Lord’s grief was not the fear of suffering; since he took upon himself human nature, to suffer and to die for us. Our Lord also suffered himself to be thus dejected, to convince the world of the truth and reality of his human nature. St. Jerome

Lk 22:41 • “And he was withdrawn away from them a stone’s cast; and kneeling down, he prayed,”
    39. Going a little further. St. Luke says, about a stone’s cast, kneeling down; or as here in Matt. prostrating himself. He did both. — Father, if it is possible. Which is the same, says St. Augustine, as if he said, if thou wilt, let this cup of sufferings pass from me.

Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. He that was God and man, had both a Divine and a Human will. He was pleased to let us know what he naturally feared, as man, and in the sensitive part of his soul; yet shows his human will had nothing contrary to his divine will, by presently adding, but not my will, but thine be done. Here, as related by St. Luke, followed his bloody sweat. St. Augustine

Luke 22. 43. These words are a source of instruction for all Christians. These words inflame the breasts of confessors; the same also crown the fortitude of the martyrs. For, who could overcome the hatred of the world, the assaults of temptations, and the terrors of persecutors, unless Christ in all, and for all, had said to his Eternal Father: Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou willest. Let all the children of the Church then understand well these words, that when calamities violently beat upon us, we may with resignation exclaim: nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou willest. St. Leo the great.

Thank you Dearest Lord Jesus for showing us your Human Will and your Divine Will and teaching us how to combine and unite our human will to yours. Amen

  20. So,
I will take the advice of St John of the Cross...

For, by the rejection of evil visions, the errors of the devil are avoided, and by the rejection of good visions no hindrance is offered to faith and the spirit harvests the fruit of them."

No private revelation is necessary for salvation.

I have neither the time nor the expertise to sort all this out and make a judgement.

I ask myself when considering reading private revelation have I first made time for daily Mass, quiet prayer, reading the Bible, adoration and fulfilling my duties as a husband father and worker and acts of charity?

I believe it would be very displeasing to God if I did not first fulfill these duties first.
