Jesus’ Words through Luisa are very simple. God does not try to turn us into Theologians. All He wants is our desire to live in His Will and He will do the rest. If you desire the knowledge, He will make it possible for you to read the writings of Luisa, Saint Faustina, Bl. Conchita diArmida, or the writings of many others concerning this Gift.

This doctrine is very problematic, which has a very weak basis. You have to put Luisa above all and everything. So I am not surprised to see that some people consecrate themselves to Luisa Picarreta.

Another thing that confirms to me the divine and supernatural origin of these revelations is the stress in them on meditating on the Passion of Jesus - which all the spiritual masters of the interior life tell us is the surest means, bar none, to advance by leaps and bounds in union with God, and in love of Him above all things.

    From: http://www.passioiesus.org/en/santos/citas_santos.htm [IMG]

Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, MEDITATIONS ON THE PASSION OF JESUS CHRIST, Introduction.: "He who desires", says St. Bonaventure, "to go on advancing from virtue to virtue, from grace to grace, should meditate continually on the Passion of Jesus." And he adds that "there is no practice more profitable for the entire sanctification of the soul than the frequent meditation of the sufferings of Jesus Christ." St. Augustine also said that a single tear shed at the remembrance of the Passion of Jesus is worth more than a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, or a year of fasting on bread and water.

St. Josemaría Escrivá Furrow, Penance 993:In our meditation, the Passion of Christ comes out of its cold historical frame and stops being a pious consideration, presenting itself before our eyes, as terrible, brutal, savage, bloody... yet full of Love. —And we feel that sin cannot be regarded as just a trivial error: to sin is to crucify the Son of God, to tear his hands and feet with hammer blows, and to make his heart break.

St Paul of Cross, Spiritual diary."The remembrance of the most holy Passion of Jesus Christ is the door through which the soul enters into intimate union with God, interior recollection and most sublime contemplation..."

"Several witnesses relate that one day Father Annibale came to the house of Luisa more content than ever, and said that he had brought this book to the Holy Father, Saint Pious X, who had received him several times in private audience. Father Anniable was reading him one of the Hours (that of the Crucifixion), when the Pope interrupted, saying: “Not this way, Father, but kneeling one must read. It is Jesus Christ that is speaking.” Finally, Father Annibale, as Censor of the writings, obtained the Imprimatur from His Excellency the Archbishop of Trani for the volumes written by Luisa (at that time there were already nineteen)." https://www.queenofthedivinewill.org/st-pius-x/

"‘When Pope John Paul II was about to beatify Fr. Annibale di Francia on October 7, 1990, the then Msgr. Ratzinger, Cardinal and Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (formerly, the Holy Office,) was informed by my father, Jose Luis Acuna, in May 1990, in a private audience that some of the books published by the Father Annibale di Francia whom His Holiness was going to beatify had been “condemned.” Therefore, the Cardinal had to investigate this matter personally, whether there was an error or not, and the result was that Fr. Annibale was beatified with no hinderance, after having investigated the matter and with full knowledge of it. Not only this, but His Emminence said in private to Msgr. Ricardo Guizar, who was then our Bishop of Atlacomulco, Mexico, that “All of the Writings of Luisa must be approved”. https://bookofheaven.org/who-is-lui...ll-of-the-writings-of-luisa-must-be-approved/

St. Hannibal Francis De Maria on the Hours of the Passion in the Divine Will: "O souls who love Jesus Christ, O souls who make a profession of spiritual life, and especially you, Spouses of Jesus Christ, consecrated to Him either through vows or by belonging to sacred Congregations, consider from all that has been said above, how much pleasure you give to the Most Holy Heart of Jesus by practicing these Hours of the Passion. It is for you, in a special way, that these Hours of the Passion have been inspired by Our Lord in that solitary and contemplative soul, who has been practicing them for many years with great profit to herself and to the whole Holy Church. Special graces have been reserved for you if you take to heart this holy daily exercise, penetrating the same sentiments and the same dispositions as those of the soul who dictated it, and who has been practicing it for many years.

From the sentiments, so intimate, and from the dispositions, so loving, of this soul, you will pass into the very sentiments and dispositions of Jesus Christ Our Lord, during the 24 Hours in which He suffered for love of us. And it is impossible for the soul, in this compassionating exercise, not to encounter the most sorrowful Mother Mary, and not to unite to the same compassion and the very incomprehensible affections of the Sorrowful Mother of God! It will be like living with Jesus suffering, and with Mary Co-Redeeming, gathering immense eternal goods for oneself and for all!"

    Vol. 11, February 2, 1917
As I was in my usual state, I found myself outside of myself, and I found my always lovable Jesus, all dripping with blood, with a horrible crown of thorns, looking at me with difficulty through the thorns. He told me:

"My daughter, the world has become unbalanced because it has lost the thought of my Passion. In darkness, it has not found the light of my Passion which would illuminate it; and as it would make known to it My love and how much souls cost Me, it might turn to loving the One who has truly loved it; and the light of My Passion, guiding it, would put it on its guard against all dangers. In weakness, it has not found the strength of my Passion which would sustain it. In impatience, it has not found the mirror of My patience which would infuse in it calm and resignation; and in the face of My patience, feeling ashamed, it would make it its duty to dominate itself. In pains, it has not found the comfort of the pains of a God which, sustaining its pains, would infuse in it love of suffering. In sin, it has not found My sanctity which, placing itself in front of it, would infuse in it hate of sin.

Ah! man has made an abuse of everything, because in everything he has moved away from the One who could help him. This is why the world has lost balance. It behaved like a child who no longer wanted to recognize his mother; or like a disciple who, denying his master, no longer wanted to listen to his teachings, or learn his lessons. What will happen to this child and to this disciple? They will be the sorrow of themselves, and the terror and sorrow of society. Such has man become – terror and sorrow; but a sorrow without pity. Ah! man is getting worse and worse, and I cry over him with tears of blood!"

St. Louis Marie Montfort, St. Albert the Great, St. Augustine etc on a Moment's worth of Meditation on the Passion: Blessed Albert the Great learned in a revelation that by simply thinking of, or meditating on, the passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, a Christian gains more merit than if he had fasted on bread and water every Friday for a whole year, or had beaten himself with his discipline once a week until the blood flowed, or had recited the whole Book of Psalms every day. Or, we could just trust Pope St. Pius X, and Pope Benedict XVI, cited earlier, the highest authorities in the Church. Pope St. Pius X: “Not this way, Father, but kneeling one must read. It is Jesus Christ that is speaking.” and Pope Benedict XVI: “All of the Writings of Luisa must be approved”. And then we could begin to make use of this Gift.

And St. Hannibal Francis De Maria too, canonized by His Holiness Pope St. John Paul II: "What to say about how great this tool would be for each Religious Community in order to advance in holiness, to be preserved, to grow in the number of chosen souls, and to obtain true prosperity? How much commitment, then, should each Community have in the constant practice of this pious exercise! And the souls of that Community who attend Holy Mass daily would receive Communion with such dispositions of fervor, and with such love for Jesus, that each Communion would be a renewed marriage of the soul with Jesus in the most intimate and increasing Union of Love!

If because of one soul alone doing these Hours, Jesus would spare a city chastisements, and would give grace to as many souls for as many as are the words of these sorrowful Hours, how many graces could a Community [or any group of faithful] hope for; from how many defects and relaxations would it be healed or preserved; and for how many souls would it obtain Sanctification and Salvation by practicing this pious exercise!

If only there were one soul in each Community, who would apply herself to practicing it with more attention during the day, at times even in the midst of daily occupations, and also in the evening, and at nighttime with a little bit of vigil…! But it would be the Summit of the Divine, and the Maximum Profit for that Community and for the Whole World, if this Exercise were practiced by All, in turns Day and Night!"

  12. Show me where in the magistery of the church this doctrine is approved.

Now I unserstood that this Luisa thing has some form of cult around her. It could be nice writings. This is not the discussion. The subject was and is this new spirituality never seen before. The church do not approve this and it can be a mistake. The basis for that is only the Voice of one private revelation. Very weak.

“The world will be filled with Luisa…The third millennium will see her light.” — St. Padre Pio
Blessed Padre Pio sent many people to Luisa Piccarreta and would say to the people of Corato who went to San Giovanni Rotondo:
“What have you come here for? You have Luisa, go to her”.

  14. I think the difference is a very well made, factual, explanation backed by the very facts of Luisa's own life and "types" of mystical experiences. She is not the originator. They aren't "Luisa's" creation. So where that "you have to put Luisa above all and everything" comes from can only be out of a personal, yet misunderstood, "take" on the revelations.

Just the limitations placed upon herself while she takes this learning journey, w/ her own agreement out of Love for Jesus, show that neither she nor Jesus offered those who would later learn through the writings, any kind of type of adoration of herself as you seem to wish to make a case for. It is her "fusion" with the Divine Will through her own Fiat that orders her greater holiness which has to be respected out of respect for that Divine Will. It's the gift itself that is holier, not her person.....except through the usual call for obedience and becoming one with the desire of her Lord in her own fiat. In fact one can simply learn via the writings themselves w/o thinking much about the one who is passing on the teachings originating from Jesus, not Luisa. One can now learn of the as yet to be understood "Mystical Humanity" of Christ via her own Fiat to be used for that purpose. We have known of His outward humanity and its total giving and suffering, but the Mystical Humanity is yet to be exposed in depth but for through such newer revelations by Jesus through His chosen little one.

"Aunt Rosaria recounted to Fr. Bucci that Luisa spoke of Padre Pio with respect and veneration, as a true man of God, who suffered greatly for the good of souls.

Rosaria regularly visited San Giovanni to see Padre Pio, and he would ask her "Rosa, how is Luisa?" She would answer: "She is well." One day Padre Pio told her in his Benevento dialect: "Rosaria, go ahead, go ahead for Luisa is great and the world will be full of Luisa." After his death, Rosaria would say that Padre Pio prophesied that Luisa would be known throughout the world, and she would repeat what Padre Pio had said in his dialect.

Aunt Rosaria also stated: ". . . during my confession Padre Pio told me that Luisa is not a human factor, she is a work of God and he himself will make her emerge. The world will be astounded at her greatness; not many years will pass before this happens. The new Millenium will see Luisa's light." http://www.sanpadrepio.com/luisa.htm

This statement of St. Padre Pio was quoted on the back cover of the book by Hugh Owen that I mentioned earlier. "The New (Third) Millenium will see Luisa's Light".

Recall how St. Faustina's work was bitterly opposed, and during those 20 years the Marian Fathers who promoted Divine Mercy had to suffer, terrible things happened for the Catholic Church worldwide. It was in 1978, through Pope St. John Paul II's efforts, that they lifted. Then, at the turn of the Millenium, Saint Faustina was canonized.

I feel confident that by the year 2033, the Millenial anniversary of the Passion and the Redemption of Christ, Servant of God Luisa Piccareta will be raised to the Altars.

Then, her work will be fully vindicated, and hopefully and happily, as St. Faustina's wonderful Diary and the Divine Mercy has spread, Divine Will will also spread then.

[IMG]Luisa is given the GIFT OF THE DIVINE WILL
On November 22, 1900, the Lord makes known to Luisa that He wants to give her an extraordinary gift: THE GIFT OF THE DIVINE WILL. This particular grace which God gives to the creature from Himself constitutes a special and free gift. Except for the Blessed Virgin Mary, Luisa is to be the first to receive this grace, but God desires that it must be extended to all of humanity who desire to accept this new event of grace. But it was to begin in the most complete silence and in the greatest hiddenness of this Soul. Beginning with Luisa, God desired to send the message of the Divine Will, this grace in which the Holy Spirit wants to renew the face of the earth: the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven. So beginning with Luisa a new event of grace is to begin in souls, through which God wants to enrich humanity.

As the years progressed, the Lord revealed to Luisa profound and ever deeper insights into the Divine Will. His purpose was to seek perfect fulfillment in Luisa of the Fiat petition of the Our Father, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Fiat Voluntas Tua sicut in Coelo et in terra.) He taught her that the three great phases or Fiats of God’s Work are the Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification. The Sanctification will be completed when the Divine Will is done on earth as it is in heaven. Luisa is to live the life of the Divine Will within her own soul, and her writings will inspire and teach others how to do so. This will help fulfill the Sanctification, which will bring about a new era of love, the era of the Third Fiat.

    Her daily life
Luisa lived in the strictest poverty, on a small income derived from lace making, which she carried out while sitting up in her bed during the day. Although she wished to live in obscurity, people of all ranks, from the humblest peasants to high-ranking prelates of the church visited her, seeking spiritual advice or consolation.

Luisa never left her bed of suffering and remained sitting in the same position for 64 consecutive years, not counting the first six years when she was often bedridden. Remarkably, she never contracted any bedsores which are normally inevitable for those bedridden.

[IMG]In the morning Luisa would be found immobile and immovable, huddled in her bed, stiff as though petrified, to the extent that no one could manage to move her, until her confessor or any other priest would come in prayer to bless her; only then would Luisa be able to move and be released. So her sister Angelina and faithful Rosaria would place her again in her usual sitting position, while the priest would begin Holy Mass on a movable altar which was in her room. With the permission of Pope Leo XIII, renewed later by Pope St. Pius X, Mass was allowed to be offered in her bedroom daily.

Luisa participated in the Mass with great devotion; she received Communion every day, and then remained in meditation for about two hours. Afterwards, she would begin her work of “tombolo” (Italian lace sewing).

Each morning before starting her day, out of obedience Luisa was to read to her confessor all that she had written in her diary the night before, and give it to him. This lasted until 1938. These writings formed 36 volumes, many of which have now been published.

Around one o’clock Luisa ate a small amount of food, which she would normally bring up afterwards. In the afternoon she would remain in prayer for a few hours and would recite the Rosary, and then begin her ordinary work. Later in the evening Luisa would begin to write in her diary all that the Lord had worked in her during that day. In this way her day would end. This way of life lasted until her death." http://www.mysticsofthechurch.com/2010/08/servant-of-god-luisa-piccarreta-little.html
