I would still respectfully disagree. Benedict was pope. Right now he is a cardinal or archbishop and should be referred to as such. He has no claim even to the title of pope in any way. In Heaven and eternity, we may honor him as once having been pope, but in my humble opinion, it is a severe mistake for him to use that title. Pope St. Pius X is referred to as such because he is deceased, as all deceased popes are. I am as sure as I can be that while he lived if he had renounced the papacy he would have insisted that no one go around referring to him in any way as pope. Just as when a king abdicates he no longer uses that title until he is deceased, at which time historians again refer to him as having once been a king. The papacy is a singular office. There can be only one. There are not 264 popes in Heaven (some of them may not even be in Heaven), there is one pope on Earth. I refer to Benedict as Pope Emeritus because I defer to his wishes and out of respect, but I think it was a mistake for him to create that title.
This is very important for us to remember. Pope Francis is in the Vatican because God is allowing it. If God did not wish it to be so, it could be reversed in one instant by Him.
How sad. Thanks for letting us know Sg and Brian. If this is true I am certain that it will spread like wildfire . They can only temporarily fool us and it's about time that they realize this.
I was afraid of this... Oh well, maybe it was good for our mental health to believe for a few days, that an abomination was occurring at the closing Mass for the Amazon Synod; gives us a chance to calm down a bit.
Someone has pointed out on Twitter that Pachamama is not only the Goddess of harvests but also of earthquakes. Exactly three years before the eve of the ending of the Synod in 2016 numerous churches were damaged in Italy by earthquakes including the almost total destruction of the basilica in Nursia built over the birthplace of St. Benedict. I am also reminded that in 2009, then Archbishop Nicholls the UK primate, offered flowers at the altar to Hindu 'gods' at the temple in Neasden, London. So, it's sort of a tradition now to revere demons. He was subsequently raised to the college of cardinals (shows that these idols can show their gratitude, I suppose).
The Holy Father's upcoming exhortation, which he plans to finish by year-end, will be the proof. There have been a few times when Francis has taken a step back from insanity and then subsequently resumed his path toward heresy. Our member, dust, sees above in this Marian statue, a sign of hope and even possible regret on the Holy Father's part, for how the Vatican Garden's disaster has played out. I pray that it is so, but the reoccurring duplicity of Francis pushes back against my hope. The Vatican has certainly become a living expression of Sr. Lucia's warning of diabolical disorientation; this simply cannot be denied. My responsibility is to pray and fast. Geralyn and I will be leading a 14-part course on the Holy Spirit in our parish beginning in Advent. It is the grace, gifts, and fruits of the Holy Spirit so beautifully exemplified in the Queen of Heaven, that will prove to be the sure means of understanding the Sign of the Times. May my fellow parishioners grasp the opportunity which Jesus offers to them. May the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity anoint us all with His Wisdom and Power that we may become victorious soldiers in Our Lady's Army for the battle has been engaged. Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
Funny you say that I noted a small earthquake not far from Rome earlier today but then I think Italy does get quite a few quakes
Mario, good work, and you are correct. It is our responsibility to pray and fast. Best wishes to you and Geralyn as you soldier on.
So glad you wrote this, De Gaulle, because the 25th of October, 2019, the day the Pachamamas were resurrected, was the worst day of my life - and Ive been through some gutwrenching things in my life, (as have all of us) but that day was my darkest day in 57 years of living. I tried to tell my adult daughter what had happened, but she said that that story (about the Pachamamas) doesnt resonate with her. "Story??? Story??? You mean HISTORY !!! ", I found myeslf thinking, in reply. Today I am still in bed, not wanting to get up, knowing I eventually will have to get up and face the day but feeling irritable, crying over what Im reading and listening to. Sorry, Fr Longenecker, but the Veneration of Our Blessed Mother on the Sunday was too little, too late. Churches will need to be reconsecrated and public repentance and reparation made by Francis, (if he has a will to do that). I will not be waiting for that though, "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord, I will repay."
It may be that the exhortation has such an ambiguous language that for some the Pope will appear to have defended the doctrine and for others not. But what seems likely to me is that the exhortation has an incentive for the Synod's conclusions to be reference for the whole Church, such as allowing local bishops to have "creativity" in inculturating the liturgy in each place, or granting greater participation by women. at church. I also think it is likely that Francis will not write the entire document alone, but with the help of someone
De Gaulle,do you also think of leaving Ireland and going to live in Spain? Or somewhere, anywhere, that is elevated? I live near the coast, almost at sea level in South Island, NZ - but the plate boundary goes under the only mountains which I could flee to, and when the plate boundary finally gives way there will be absolutely nowhere to go, except those who live on the coast away from those mountains might get off more lightly - but not if that large quake generates a tsunami. As it is going to be epicentered in the mountains, it is hard to know what effect it will have on the oceans around our island. We do know that it is overdue to rupture and many people here try to live with some form of preparedness for it, but it is going to be devestating, when it does happen. And of course, we are at risk of offshore faults and deep sea trenches rupturing and causing Tsunamis and we are at risk for distant source Tsunamis, such as large earthquakes happening in Chile, sending waves to our shores.
Furthermore, Fr Longenecker was one of the first people to read Taylor Marshall's book, "Infiltration", and he basically said of it : "So What?" He gave it a poor review, and tried to minimise the significance of what had happened to our Holy Mother, the Church at the hands of the Freemasons and Communists infiltrators. He actually said "Forgive me if I yawn." Look here, at how he treats Taylor's Book: https://dwightlongenecker.com/taylor-marshalls-infiltration/ Now, I feel he is once again minimising what Francis has done with the Pachamamas and the other absolute sacriliges that have occured in relation to the Synod. I'm sorry, but I dont feel it is the time to be playing "the glad game". It would seem to me that only a divine intervention can restore the Church, after this.
I have EWTN on a lot and have seen a lot of Pope Francis' Masses come on. I have seen that statue there a lot and Pope Francis going up and venerating it. So I don't see as anything new for that Mass. Sigh, going back to being quiet.
Luan, It is pretty normal for popes to have help in writing exhortations though of course each respective Pope has the final say. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
