I read Ann Barnhard today. I've avoided her for a while, but it's hard to avoid the conclusion that no matter how controversial she might seem to be, she usually turns out to be right. She believes Pope Francis is an antipope and that Benedict is still pope. This is plausible, but I disagree on the basis that I am not in a position to know the truth of this and I am certainly not going to follow the opinion of a member of the faithful who has no authority to decide this matter, no matter how much evidence she thinks she might have. She made one point that disturbs me. Although I cannot accept the thesis that Benedict is still pope, for the above reasons, it is still a plausible possibility. The difficulty is that if Benedict actually still is pope and outlives Pope Francis, a conclave to replace Francis would then be no less illicit than Francis would have been in this scenario and the pope they would elect would also be illicit. It presents yet another appalling vista. We are in dire need of divine intervention. Vive Cristo Rei.
Our Lord and our Blessed Mother have always guided his church, the people of God, through his messengers as stated in Amos 3:7. There has been no credible prophecy that even seems to suggest we have an anti-pope in the chair of Peter today. He may be a precursor, but his is not an antipope.
If Benedict were still Pope the next conclave would be null anyway since there would be cardinals voting who weren't really cardinals and if Pope Francis sets new terms for the conclave those would be invalid as well. This is a rabbit hole it is best to avoid. There is nothing we can do about it anyway. We have no authority. If Pope Francis is not a valid Pope then God will have to straighten this out himself.
I realize that in this forum even among those who do not call Francis of Antipapa, most do not refer to Benedict XVI as Pope Emeritus, as if there were any special reason for it. I myself include myself in this group of people.

Pews were turned around so that those “venerating” the Pachamama would have their backs to the Most Blessed Sacrament.
That's the psychological phenomenon of projection. That poor man needs our prayers, God bless him. For some strange psychological reason, I find it hard to force myself to say those prayers.

We call the dead popes by their title, Pope John Paul II, Pope Pius XII, Pope Pius X, Pope Leo XIII and so on. Benedict's being still alive is only a paltry detail, so we should still give him the title of Pope Benedict. I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, popes hold onto their title into Eternity.

Outrageous and literally disgraceful!(actually that’s probably an understatement) Right on the spot where allegedly, the tomb of Romulus, the pagan founder of Rome is situated and dedicated to, not just Our Lady, but Our Lady of Mount Carmel, MOUNT CARMEL! No wonder Rome is prophesied to be destroyed.
I would be suspect of this. I hope this is not true. That would be truly horrible. The very saddest thing is at this point it is not outlandish to think this could have happened.
