Tragically for Ireland and the countless thousands of children whose lives will be snuffed out before they have had a chance of living and loving in this world, Satan has won yet another battle here on Earth. However we know how the war ends. Christ already won the victory on His cross. The devil, sin and death were, and remain defeated. Be of good cheer. Jesus is Lord. God is in control and He and His people win in the end. Those poor babies who will be murdered will reign with Christ in heaven.

I think of the scripture. 'Those to whom much has been given much will be expected'.

Think of the huge graces given to Ireland down the centuries. The thousands of saints and martyrs. All thrown out the window in one day.

There will be a Judgement mark my word.

In fact I believe Our Lady already spoke of this at Mount Mellary and said the chastisement will come in the form of water, as God told St Patrick on the Reeks.

This is also the foretelling a Knock. That Ireland would backslide.

That priest needs to be in a parish. I was talking recently to a couple (on a pro-life march) who told me that the nun preparing one of their children for Confirmation told the class that there is no Hell - that it was just a story made up to scare people. And that didn't happen today or yesterday - it was maybe 15 or more years ago. Imagine all the children that nun put through her hands. Who's going to tell people that the Truth doesn't change with the times? I can guarantee you that if their son went looking on the internet to find out the Truth there would be "Catholics" dripping degrees from the most elite "Catholic" colleges spinning a completely different "Truth" than what you or I were taught pre-Vatican 11. Most of those voting yesterday are the Vatican 11 generation. Very many of their parents finished school in their mid-teens and wouldn't have been equipped to counter the stuff being spun to their children in colleges. And an awful lot of those parents very likely had their own faith weakened by their better educated children.

Not a single priest I heard mention the referendum at Mass referred to the fact that even indirect assistance in abortion is a grave sin. Not a single one of them said that Catholics are obliged to oppose abortion. I heard plenty of stuff along the lines of "I'm not telling you how you should vote". You may be sure that if it came to a referendum up North the Presbyterian ministers wouldn't be so wishy washy, irrespective of their reasons for opposing it. Of course, now that we're in the baby killing business our politicians can offer the service to Northerners - all in the interests of cross border co-operation.

Anyway, all we can do now is pray for the babies at risk, pray for those who voted for this abomination, pray for the politicians, and pray that God will turn His Church around in our lifetime. The more I think of it the more depressed I get. My heart goes out to people like Maryrose who were God's voice and feet during this campaign. The only consolation I can offer them is that for every word of abuse they received on the campaign trail, the one who said "He who rejects you rejects Me" won't be holding any referendum on Judgement day.

Yes, the devil loses in the end, we know that. However, we don't know the casualty count.

Well a Father Chastises Him children to heal them not to torture them.

We can hope. But we are not in for an easy ride. That's for sure. The sight of people celebrating the fact of the murder of unborn babies all over Ireland is very darksome.

    It bodes great ill.

    Great, great ill.

To some of the most extreme, abortion is a 'sacrament'. It possesses a pseudo-religious significance for them.

The celebrations are about more than abortion. It is the overturning of the old order, a revolution not unlike that of France in 1789. To be Catholic is now to be a deplorable.

Martrydom is not far off. Fulton Sheen foretold this as did others. They will be laughing then too as they kill us.

Indy I have felt all these things too and I’m not in Ireland. I think all prolife people everywhere feel like the air’s been knocked out of them.

I was at Mount Melleray during the time when the Mother of God Mary gave the messages warning Ireland to turn back before 1995. This was when we lost this battle when the Celtic tiger got his claws into us. I drifted from the church blinded by the materialistic world and my parents were not equipped to deal with the modern onslaught of evil. It took the 2008 recession to slowly bring me back. It is something as terrible if not worst than this that will have to happen to snap people out of this modern brainwashing. As I write there is a thunder & lighting storm over Waterford God is indeed not pleased.

Well, if prayers are never wasted then all the prayers toward keeping abortion out of Ireland must be in Limbo somewhere. The whole thing saddens me greatly. Something else closer to home saddens me also. After 40 years of being able to wear a five medal cross around my neck at work, the company I work for has changed its policy and no employee will be allowed to wear any sort of necklace on the outside of our uniforms starting next week. I never thought I’d live to see the day!

Pictures of people celebrating the mass-murder of children with great joy.
    Incomprehensible.

What a sick world we live in.
Ireland, along with most of the rest of formerly Christian world, has now officially abandoned God and the Church.

What purpose do the formerly Christian nations serve anymore? It was given to Christians to evangelize and spread the Good News. We have abandoned our purpose. We are good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot.

13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.
    Matthew 5:13

The rites of child-sacrifice have always employed lively ritual. The people must be stirred up into frenzy. The power of life over death, as long as it's someone else's, is apparently quite exhilarating. How terrifying is a mob.

Feeling so sick, fed up with it all,

So fed up of the Church, through its evil child abusing activities and lack of moral steel, it has supplied the stick for the
liberal parties to beat us Catholics with. And they wont spare the rod...

Can't believe East Galway was the first area to ratify evil...I grew up there.

Those kids celebratiting in the photos are just college age kids, for them its fun to go up against the 'old establishment' and they are the ones the Church neeed to embrace and include many years ago,
but they were let 'get away' and now they are lost for good, as they have mostly developed an intense dislike of Catholicism, especially through student societies and on campus political parties. But the Church didn't bother and now they are becoming the enemy...
Even though our Church is packed every Sunday, its the very young, and some secondary school students and the older folks. I do not see any college age students.

Mass rocks may become required in the future!

    God Bless,

    DBM.

They know not what they do. Ireland has just signed it's own death warrant. They just threw out perhaps one of the last things that was giving the country any worth in the eyes of Heaven.

It is a world gone mad.
It's as if the country has just put a gun to it's head and yelled "Freedom!" with a big smile on it's face while pulling the trigger.

Interesting what you write about mass rocks, that also crossed my mind today. There will need to be hideouts for True Catholics before long. Sad.

I have been out and about over the last few weeks up and down the country knocking on doors with other pro- lifers. The response was mixed with probably more yes than no. I also attended adoration in a local church everyday up to the vote and it was almost always full. I also went to the church again tonight but there were only two others there. I could feel the sadness of Jesus as he seemed to say, "where are the others?"
I have found that trying to live in the Divine Will brings a peace which is indescribable and today was no different in spite of all the doom and gloom going on around me. I too am saddened by the way things have turned out, with close family members also being part of the problem. But now is not the time to give up.. Jesus wants us to trust Him beyond reason, and hold onto our peace. Jesus told Luisa a soul which lacks peace is open to the evil one.

Beautifully said Dolours. And Mary Rose did God’s work and suffered with Christ in the rejection. God bless Maryrose and all the heroes who prayed so hard and worked so hard. Their names are written in Heaven. All of you are united to Jesus rejected and mocked and ignored. You are suffering a dry martyrdom in your own once Catholic land. I think Padraig is right. I think there will be a reckoning. God have mercy on us all.
