I wonder if there are other ways to get the message out, possibly Twitter? The "Worldwide trends" on Twitter right now are all related to the Royal Wedding but I wonder if the Catholic community could have an impact on the trends leading up to the vote on May 25th. These are just two twitter feeds that support Vote NO but I'm sure that there are more: @Chooselife2018 @loveboth8

Will Google sway Ireland’s abortion referendum?

Google and Facebook have banned ads, pro and con, about the upcoming vote to remove Ireland’s pro-life constitutional provision. Although this may seem a neutral move, it is thought it will benefit the campaign to repeal the Eighth Amendment, which bans abortion in most circumstances. The No campaign (against repeal), which has largely been shut out of the Irish press, has relied heavily on social media to organize.

The Rosary will sway Ireland's abortion referendum if enough people storm heaven.

Chesterton wrote about this divide a century ago. He said that urbanisation leads to reduced diversity, more limited life experience and the development of group-think. A person living in a country townsland or village is going to meet all types and classes around him, accompanied by more varied points of view. Even a poor village idiot gets a hearing, and usually a polite and respectful one. Therefore, a countryman is more likely to think for himself and be less prone to manipulation. The farmer who fought and defeated the state in the Supreme Court over a compulsory purchase order, as featured in today's online Sunday Independent, illustrates this attitude. A person living in an urban suburb mostly sees people just like himself and is more vulnerable to being caught up in the herd mentality. He is far less likely to hear more than one side of a particular story. He is far more manipulable, although convinced of being of exactly the opposite quality.

Yes, you can see this in America so well where the people have such a free, independent spirit. Where people group in flocks of sheep they are more easily led. Almost all the Marian apparitions occur deep in the country and this happens for a good reason. When Our Lady did try to appear in a big city like Paris at the Rue Du Bac it was rejected and she had to go to Lourdes, to the mountains, to the middle of nowhere to be heard. It was in a city Jerusalem that Christ was crucified, whereas it was in a little country village He was reared.

The Masons control the cities were people are in herds; they find it less easy to control the countryside where each man is his own king. We saw this with the Christeros in Mexico and the Vendee in France.

Jesus and Our Lady and the Apostles were all humble country folk....as were most of our best saints and Popes. It is no accident that our current Holy Father comes a huge world city.

and when in the Book of Revelation Mary fless with child from the devil; where does she go go?

    The county.

    Keep 'er country.:)

Oh Padrig, this was one of my favorite songs when I was in high school back in the 1970’s. I loved the melody and it was such a feel good, sing-a-long kind of song... but then the whole thing was ruined for me when we had a guest priest speak to our religion class and he blasted this song as being the anthem against the sanctity of marriage. He took it apart line by line and it ended up being about shacking up, and anti-commitment! I always felt guilty about liking it after that. You know there’s nothing like good old Catholic guilt!!!

This theme of being , 'Free', by not being committed runs right through Glenn's songs. It gives them a kind of sad overtone. I see this most in this one.

It's kind of a two edged sword, he is hurting the woman he loves; but he is also hurting himself. It He is buying his, 'Freedom', at a very high cost.

So I think there is a deeper message here.

    Maybe I am wrong, but I always think Glenn was regretting a bad choice(s) here;

    It's true that,

'Freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose',

Which is why we are members of the Catholic Church. We loose our , 'Freedom', to gain true Freedom.

I think that it's a little short notice to co-ordinate something like that across the country. I've been in a few different churches recently and all of them had plans to hold prayer services including Adorations in the lead up to the referendum. Some had scheduled prayers and Adorations for one hour while others were planning 24 hour Adorations concluding with Mass. The dates varied, presumably to ensure maximum participation in the different parishes or churches. For our parish it will be on Wednesday. Some parishes and religious communities have been holding regular weekly holy hours for life throughout the year. I'm pretty sure that there will be Adorations in the Dominican church all day on polling day, concluding with evening Mass. I'll probably make my way there after I've voted.

I will keep Ireland in prayer the home of most of my ancestry. I feel as if Boston has almost as many Irish as Ireland. Our brothers in Christ I will keep praying that it doesn't go through

Me too Claves. I am praying and making offerings for this. I believe this is hugely important for the whole world not just Ireland. I just feel heaven holding its breath so to speak. Keep praying everyone! There are some powerful saints feast days on that day including I believe St Mary Magdalene dePazzi and Saint (venerable)Bede.

Ireland, Abortion and the Eighth Amendment
    National Catholic Register · May 18, 2018
As of this writing, Irish voters are preparing to head to the polls to cast their ballots May 25 for something once considered utterly unimaginable in the Republic of Ireland: whether to repeal the Eighth Amendment ... of what Pope Francis warns is a ...
