    There is no Hell.
    Sin isn't so serious.
God is all Mercy, don't worry about the Justice part.

Whose gospel does this sound like?

An angel of a different sort perhaps?

I would like to know who this cardinal and his colleagues are and thank them for at least making an effort.

Who is this Monsignor Ferrari...and beware the date that's in it (I have been disappointed so often recently, that I am most reluctant to believe anything optimistic)?

Wish I knew but I suspect he’s simply a humorous account on Twitter.

Like Brian said, it looks like a humorous account. This, however, is very real and what the "big tent" Christian unity will unite us to: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-chooses-EASTER-cast-doubt-Resurrection.html

That plaster should fall from the roof of St Peter’s basilica over the Pieta is certainly an ominous sign. As are the lightning strikes that hit the same basilica, the earthquake that devastated Nurcia and the churches there. Devastating cracks, attacks and strikes on a spiritual level are being manifested in the physical/ material realm.

You never know, though, his name tells us he's more likely one of the quick than the dead.

This so-called 'archbishop' has some neck to continue drawing his salary. He patently disbelieves the divinity of Christ. Indeed, unlike the Arians, he obviously disbelieves in the omnipotence of God, which effectively separates him from the entire Judeo-Christian tradition. Is he not guilty of fraud and negligence no less than a doctor who disbelieves the utility and effectiveness of the medicines he nevertheless insists on continuing to prescribe?

Also notable is the use of the weasel word 'almost' in his incorrect attempt to discredit the unity of the Gospels.

Another notable point is that the Cathedral of York appears to have suffered a similar fate, and with far more severe consequences, as St. Peter's, upon the resignation of Pope Benedict.

That's right. He would have said so and didn't. That's three times he has failed to do so. He has a real problem squaring his beliefs with the Council of Trent and uses Scalfari as a sounding board to test how much he can get away with. So far only 4 Cardinals have attempted to defend the faith. By next year, over half the Cardinals will be his appointees. As the Freemasons in Rome said when expressing their joy at his election, the Catholic Church will never be the same again. He could come out tomorrow and flatly deny that there is a Hell and the majority of Bishops would call it a development of doctrine.

I remember that one of the sayings my late mother, Lord have mercy on her, had was 'silence is consent'. She meant it for situations less momentous, but just like this. The Pope's silence on this matter, as with other issues, is deafening.

A precise, concise traditional definition by him of Hell would dispel all confusion. It is hard to accept that confusion is not, in fact, his object.

Francis has used this man in the past to emanate ideas. This way he feels that he can have "plausible deniability"

Today Infovaticana website posted some excerpts of a new book of unpublished homilies by St Josemaria, written from 1954 to 1975. Because they are so relevant to the current crisis, they actually seem to be written for this very times, I took some time to translate a few sentences:

    https://infovaticana.com/2018/03/31/solo-hay-impunidad-para-los-que-difunden-herejias-y-maldades/

"If there was sadness in heaven, Saint Joseph would be very sad in these times, seeing the Church rot as if it were a corpse. But the Church is not a corpse!! The people will pass, the times will change, and heresies and blasphemies will cease. But right now they are propagated without obstacles, because there are no pastors that point out their finger at the wolf.
What is now risky is for a person to proclaim the truth, because he will be defamed and persecuted. There is only impunity for those who disseminate heresies and wickedness, and the practical and theoretical errors of despicable customs."

"The greatest enemies are inside and high up: don't allow yourselves to be fooled. When you take a book of religious subject, make sure to reject it relentlessly if there is no certainty that it has good criteria. Out!! It is an ultra effective poison, throw it away as if it were a porn book, and with even more violence, because pornography is visible but this [poison] gets filtered in as if through osmosis."

"Invoque with me Saint Joseph, with all your heart, so that he may obtain from the Most Blessed Trinity and the Virgin Mary, her Spouse, Our Mother, that the time of this Tribulation be shortened. And even thought they have suppressed this invocation from the Litany of the Saints, let me invite you to pray with me:
“Ut inimicos Sanctae Ecclesiae humiliare digneris, te rogamos audi nos!” ("that Thou wouldst deign to humiliate the enemies of Holy Church, we beseech Thee, hear us!”)

The situation is grave, my daughters and sons. The whole war front is under threat; may it not break apart because of one of us. Evil -I can't stop warning you- comes from inside and very high up. There is a real putrefaction and , some times, it seems as if the Mystical Body of Christ was a rotting corpse that stinks. So much offense against God!! We that are so fragile, certainly more fragile than most people, but that - as I have said- we have a commitment of Love, should now give a sense of reparation [for so many offenses] to our existence.

We can't be overcome by sadness. We are optimistic, also because the spirit of Opus Dei is one of optimism. But we don't have our heads in the clouds: we are in reality, and the current reality is bitter.
