Lord have mercy on his soul. Wouldn't your heart go out to a priest "exiled" to pursuing his interests around the world when no doubt he yearned to be a humble priest. Maybe these modernist Jesuits and their students have already been drawn closer to the Omega Point than the rest of us because they sure seem to inhabit a different planet than the one I'm living on.

Incidentally, Teilhard's beliefs don't seem all that different than something Moses Hess described as doing the rounds in Protestant Germany when he was making his journey towards Zionism.

Yes, good analogy...numbed horror strickened. Had all I could do last night not to cry my eyes out at adoration of our Lord. This Lent has put me through an emotional wringer and yesterday I became a train wreck.

After 5 sit downs with this Pope, Scalfari, the atheist, at his ripe old age, doesn't appear to have been converted to belief....and I think I can understand why!!

 

More than likely this is what the world is surmising (and priests put on the spot are already using - some really good ones replying to questions about this as just more "fake news").....due to how these things, like the historical pattern now is being established, continue to be handled at the top....w/o responsibility. Does it appear to be a kind of deliberate tactical manipulation of minds and hearts?

Pray very hard for this Pope. Satan's goal is to take down the place of Peter/the authority, and can use the weaknesses of the individual occupying that place as his means. This current "softening", in the background, of the backbone, before going in for the kill, is what seems to be permeating the world via the Illuminati/means of worldly communications/social media, etc. Reminds me of when the picadors are sent into the arena with the job of wounding, with their spears, the strong neck muscle of the bull, so it will drop its head into a more favorable position to a greater advantage for the matador to use his sword for the final kill.

I think Satans goal is not to pull down the authority of the Chair of Peter but clearly to use it to his own ends.
When we look at the membership of not only the Catholic church but also the Protestant churches we see the same things. Decline and the intentional subversion of the Traditional for modernism. This is no coincidence. This also is playing out for the Masons as well with declining membership in their organization. The world, is either becoming very pagan or it is abandoning all thought of God and worshiping at the alter of hedonism and luxury. This makes mankind so incredibly easy to control when there is no higher truth than ones own base desires.

Yes, I have to agree that satan is trying to use the authority of the Chair of Peter to use for evil purposes. Why would CNN make an entire series about the Pope? They call the series Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History It's like they want to prop up the Pope now that we have Pope Francis, but in all the episodes they don't show orthodox popes in a favorable light, they only feature the popes who were questionable in their morality. Perplexing times that we are enduring. May God help us in the struggle.

 

Good Friday

So, again we see the same Holy Father. We see it on airplane interviews as well as with this elderly journalist. He uses these two events to say something controversial and the whole world begins to debate. I have seen it on conservative... as well as liberal websites. I'm not sure if it is positive but it is the first time hell has been in the global conversation. It will make many stronger but hopefully it won't lose souls. Not sure of the Holy Fathers intentions but when you have this type of debate globally it is very interesting.

As for his alleged statement. Reminder nothing is recorded.

"They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."[75]

There is some truth to statement. In the last judgement, God will either welcome you or not let you in to His kingdom. It's not really punishment. The individual soul made his/her decision. So God doesn't punish. We punish ourselves for not believing in God. And yes when you don't enter the kingdom of God you disappear. But you disappear from the very essence of God. That means you are in the opposite of what God is. Opposite of goodness, charity, love, Justice, and many other attributes. So, that place you disappear to...is a place absent of God. Which means it is a place evil, greed, selfishness, hate and lies.

There is no hell but a place devoid of God. In our material world we call this place hell. And have used it as a way to teach generations. The Holy Father is not really wrong but without some serious explanations...it might turn a lot of people away from the truth. But it also makes many of us stronger.

Yes Hell is real...but Hell is only a word to explain a spiritual place. It's meaning is a mystery.

It is not kind to do this to his children. Leave us in confusion as to what he could possibly have meant. I cried for a time last night in fear for the possible loss of souls this could cause. It is not kind. May the Lord have mercy.

 

Hell is what Jesus mentioned more than once in the Scriptures, and it is also what Our Lady showed to the children at Fatima, and what Our Lord showed to St. Faustina, among others. So there is no mystery in my mind about Hell.

 

It is a brief glimpse...it is much worse.

But yes it is a mystery.

 

If the Pope did not say this then the Vatican should say "The Pope did not say this. He believes in Hell, the eternal life of all souls, and all Catholic teachings."

To say "These are not exact quotes." is not enough.

 

"Show me the tape recording" is becoming something of a fall-back of Vatican deniability. The last time they used it was when they were suggesting that the Apostles misquoted Jesus on marriage and adultery.

Are there no tape recorders in the Vatican which the Pope could use to accurately record interviews with journalists they claim have a habit of misquoting him?
