This video is a few days old and since things are moving very quickly these days I hope that I don't bore you with this but it popped up after I viewed another video from the "talking cat" this morning. I find it very interesting that, in the video, the police officer compares the situation in Puerto Rico to communism. When I first heard the story of the Mayor of San Juan I thought that she was panicking in a crisis but this video makes me wonder if there was something more going on as others have suspected. As a warning, there is some foul language on this video,

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

The following is something that I noticed but I am not certain what it means if anything. Two "events" occurred within 24hours or so after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Vegas always reminds me of "the King", Elvis Presley and these two events also point to something related to a king/monarch and it's demise.

1 - Monarch Airlines collapsed on October 2nd
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-41467851

2 - Tom Petty of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers passed away on October 2nd after going into cardiac arrest at age 66, RIP

So on Monday I woke up and prayed the rosary like I do every morning and then eventually I put the news on and I see the President speaking live about what occurred in Las Vegas. A little while later, on the same news channel they report the story about Monarch Airlines collapsing and leaving passengers stranded and then it is reported that Tom Petty died which was false at first but a little while after his heart attack he had in fact passed away. During a seg-way, the news station plays the following song from Tom Petty which I never heard before, It's Good to Be King. Here are some of the lyrics,

It's good to be king, if just for a while
To be there in velvet, yeah, to give 'em a smile
It's good to get high and never come down
It's good to be king of your own little town

Yeah, the world would swing if I were king
Can I help it if I still dream time to time

It's good to be king and have your own way
Get a feeling of peace at the end of the day
And when your bulldog barks and your canary sings
You're out there with winners, it's good to be king, ......
    etc.
I am not making any of this up. I hesitated to post about it but in any case, there you go. You know the Pope is considered a monarch, again, what this all means IDK. Maybe it is pointing to something or maybe it is just a reminder that life is short.

In addition, I looked for an article about Tom Petty's death today and found the following,
    http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/

    In this article we have,

"the idea was for him to reflect on the wildly successful 40th anniversary tour he and the Heartbreakers had wrapped less than 48 hours earlier at the end of three sold-out nights at the Hollywood Bowl."
There was something about the 40th anniversary that caught my attention and the following paragraphs really caught my attention,

“The thing about the Heartbreakers is, it’s still holy to me,” he said with no air of loftiness or pretense. “There’s a holiness there. If that were to go away, I don’t think I would be interested in it, and I don’t think they would. We’re a real rock ’n’ roll band — always have been. And to us, in the era we came up in, it was a religion in a way. It was more than commerce, it wasn’t about that. It was about something much greater.

“It was about moving people, and changing the world, and I really believed in rock ’n’ roll — I still do,” he said. “I believed in it in its purest sense, its purest form. … It’s unique to have a band that knows each other that long and that well.

“I’m just trying to get the best I can get out of it,” said Tom Petty, head Heartbreaker and fisher of music, “as long as it remains holy.”
Here is the first article that I came across this morning in relation to Tom Petty's death,
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...hey-die-christian-schneider-column/735043001/

Maybe it is all a sign that life is short. Although I do find interesting what Luan pointed out above, that an asteroid struck Russia just a few days after Pope Benedict's resignation and we have a very large asteroid making a very close fly by the day before the 100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima especially in light of everything else that is going on including corrections of the Pope, threats of nuclear war and almost global civil unrest not to mention all of the natural disasters and celestial events which have occurred recently, most containing references to Marian and other religious names/meanings.

In addition, President Trump will probably be announcing his plans for the Iran nuclear deal on October 12th and last night he called a White House dinner with top military commanders, "the calm before the storm."

Pray, hope and don't worry. Padre Pio

RIP to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting...http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/he...s-vegas-shooting/ar-AAsY6V9?OCID=ansmsnnews11

  5. I just report.....you decide! It's often better though for officials to have some kind of already established "regular" monetary backing/income....in the normally acceptable way. Otherwise you get the standard paupers to millionaires after only a few years in office. But when that's not possible then....it's good to be the king....for as long as you can control such matters with no opposition except for those you've already locked up and thrown away the key!

Didn't all those oligarchs go from pauper to millionaire after only a few years in the mess that was Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union? You won't find any statesmen there. Expecting Russia to be a mirror image of your average Western democracy strikes me as a little naive. The whole world is supposed to be outraged and terrified because America's favourite oligarch isn't governing Russia. I suspect that there's not a little interference by outside forces stirring up unrest in Russia. While I'm no fan of Putin, the self righteous American Press banging on about Russian interference in US elections stinks of hypocrisy.

That said, the Russians had a special exhibition recently honouring a famous Briton who spied for Russia during the cold war. Not a good sign. The West really blew a great opportunity in their mishandling of relations with post-Soviet Russia.

Writing as an American, I would have no problem with a king. The problem with ANY government -- elected or hereditary -- is whether or not the leadership recognizes and submits to the rule of God. The "Divine Right of Kings" became a problem when (as with biblical kings) they stopped living as "I want what God wants" and believed "God wants what I want".

England had a Catholic king (Harald?) who was known to have performed exorcisms. He could do that because as King, God gave him authority over all things in the land. By Henry VIII, though, royalty had stopped believing that God ruled them and they were on their own. He broke with Rome and so damaged the royal link to the land. The link still remained, though, as long as the kings and queens still upheld biblical law.

The current Queen of England has broken that link with her rejection of biblical law and her royal assent to laws permitting SSM. What is happening in America -- natural disaster and civil discord -- will continue to grow in the UK.

  8. Those oligarchs were simply taking advantage of niches for new entrepreneurs for the first time with Gorbachev's big "openings"! And whenever there is such an extreme change in any former gulag type government, such freedom invites an extreme "go for it" response. So in a rather short period of time such more powerful characters were targeted for extinction by another strong man leader taking back the former goals of tyrannical govt.

Nonetheless I did say it's better to already have a type of normally accepted income so the temptations to use power only for advancing one's more "comfortable" way of living are not so great. Human nature, being defective as it is, normally can't resist such temptations and evolves until someone brave enough can come on the scene to try to put the brakes on. In third world countries that has had a power of going from the elites of the culture/class distinction to the strong military takeovers. But actually I never even mentioned Russia nor what the American (non) press has conveniently used for their nom de recognition knee jerk "shock" . And since I didn't then I also never designed a Russia as any kind of your "mirror image of...average Western democracy"...or maybe when you used "your" you may have meant "one's" not to be taken personally.

The only place that there even seems to be an attempt to turn an evolving socialist govt. (most such Western "democracies" today) back to an originally intended culture, including the Christian foundations that have been either actually intentionally written out of national histories, or by means of power, lies and fraud within the authorities appointed to power positions, is this one, under Trump, within all the obvious limitations of the propaganda machine that people are still willing to call a media/news, the thug groups now permitted to organize and given some legitimacy due to their elitist backers, to those "in name only" who still purport to be conservatives or even patriots. IOW, there doesn't seem to be a nation that doesn't have to be rebuilt.....and not many "lights" that are able to be seen on the horizon to do just that due to being outnumbered these days. The whole world is being purged....but at least the formerly covert systems covered in nice labels are being exposed so that when the day comes to stand for good or evil there will no longer be a middle to hide behind. If nothing else such a push to include everyone again within the expected freedoms has elicited such shock waves that the last vestiges of the former power regimes are becoming so obvious in their lawlessness....courts especially, and major authoritative agencies such as AGs, and others that had abused the so called "justice system", or the Clintons' fraud of offering state secrets (their "influence") to the highest bidders.....that they may finally become caught up in their own webs of deceit themselves....the boomerang effect of more and more exposure! Get the popcorn!

It wasn't personal. "Your average" is just another way of saying "the average".

I think it will be years, maybe many decades, before the truth of what happened in post Soviet Russia is known. It seems to have been a case of dog eat dog. Putin's background and sheer nerve probably gave him an advantage in the dogfight. Who knows what went on. Western journalism has degenerated to the stage where the weather report is the only segment we can take at face value. If they're that prejudiced reporting local news, how can anyone trust their world news reports?

It just seems to me that honest dealings with Russia, helping them transition to a free democracy rather than humiliating them would have gone a long way towards bringing peace to the world. China is the real threat. It's a world power with a totalitarian regime yet we're supposed to believe that Russia is the bogeyman. A Western/Russian alliance would have helped us all sleep more soundly at night but it wasn't to be. Greed took over. Greed on the part of Russians with the right connections and greed on the part of well-connected Western corporations all looking to enrich themselves at the expense of the Russian people. However evil Putin may be, at least he stopped Soros or those mega rich RINOs running the show in Russia. He deserves some credit for that.

It looks like we are in for growing social unrest across the world, especially in developed countries, as technology replaces jobs. Sometimes I wonder whether all the civil upheaval is being orchestrated as an excuse to take away people's civil liberties in preparation for the main event. Trump could be a flash in the pan.

It was a total free for all and a mentality of organized crime took over the nation after the fall according to a friend I had who had left Russia shortly afterward. He spoke of it being a place in which he could not provide for his family or even protect them from the mobs of men turned war lords and overnight godfathers. So he left and years later made his way to the US via other countries. We spent many nights talking about the US and Russia and he told me that we are well on the way toward communism and many don't know it and many of those that do are working toward it. He said that one day he would likely return to Russia.

I was in a senior high tech position for many years and was involved in projects which automated many things. I think that people will always find a way to survive and prosper but that this will become increasingly more challenging. There are a great many people who do not wish to push themselves to learn and better themselves. These are the people who are hurt most of all from technology in a society like ours. Those who embrace it and use it to their advantage will do fine. The media always uses every angle available to push the negative aspects of these things.

Yep add to that all the violent felony crimes which have been made misdemeanors now in CA and the big push to get rid of bail and simply release someone once they have been booked. Rule of law is dying there. I believe that this is one of the big signs that we are to pay attention to according to the writings of Saint Bellarmine.

Those early years must have been hard on ordinary Russians. Perhaps Putin is popular because he brought some kind of order out of chaos. Most people just want a quiet life with basic freedoms and some kind of income or job security to provide a decent standard of living. The average man in the street in any country doesn't want to rule his own country never mind ruling the world.

I hope you're right about people finding a way to survive and prosper. A lot of people are going to be on the scrapheap.

I think that the blue ribbon representing support for the ACLU has continued after the Emmy's, in addition, I believe that it also represents political dissent (?).
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/life...s-wearing-blue-ribbons-emmy-awards/675663001/

I am pretty certain that all of the MLB commentators were wearing these blue ribbons after the Yankee game tonight, I am not 100% certain that they represent the same thing but it reminded me of the following story from a couple of days ago, that "William and Mary students protest ACLU speaker, white supremacy", http://www.vagazette.com/news/va-vg-aclu-protest-1007-story.html This is just more proof that many on the left only support free speech for themselves.

I believe that the reason for the negativity on the part of the press on these matters is because of their incessant push to destroy capitalism and any vestiges of Western society in the minds of the people. We all know where that road leads, they describe it to us every chance they get but attribute it to capitalism. It's all about control in the end.

I am not saying that Capitalism is without it's share of problems, in spite of them however I would take it any day over socialism and communism. We will always have the poor. It is how we treat them that matters. I was listening to EWTN the other night and they were speaking about that God had chosen for his Son to be born into a poor household and how we as Christians have to be wary of our attachments to things of this world. It really struck a cord with me. I certainly do not do enough to share of myself both in time and rescources with those who are less fortunate.

I for one am so sick of the social activism of Major league Sports in the US that I have completely stopped watching them. They have utterly destroyed Baseball and now Football as well with it. I wonder who watches the Emmys anyway? lol

This evening, my 80 year old father-in-law commented that he has never seen so many natural disasters occur in such a short period of time. I thought that was a rather telling comment from someone his age.

  18. South Korea developing graphite 'blackout bombs' to paralyse North's electrical grid

South Korea is ready to deploy graphite bombs - also known as "blackout bombs" - that will paralyse North Korea's electrical power plants in the event of war breaking out on the peninsula.

Blackout bombs were first used by the United States in Iraq in the 1990 Gulf War and work by releasing a cloud of extremely fine, chemically treated carbon filaments over electrical components. The filaments are so fine that they act like a cloud, but cause short circuits in electrical equipment.

South Korea is actively looking to increase its defensive capabilitiesagainst the North and has been keen to develop graphite bombs because they are not lethal to civilians in surrounding areas.
