The Pope, wherever we may want him to be, will see it. And Padre Pio as well." The odd turn of the visionary's statement concerning the location from which the Sovereign Pontiff will see the Miracle, leads us to suppose that he will not be at the Vatican for the great event. Did the Blessed Mother ever say anything about the Holy Father having to leave Rome at the time of the Warning? A. "No, but what it looked like to me — maybe at this time I was confusing in my mind what I was seeing and what the Blessed Mother was saying to me because it's been so many years — but what it looked like to me was that the Pope couldn't be in Rome either, you know what I mean, out in the open. He was being persecuted, too, and had to hide just like everybody else."
Dear Glenn I have the 2nd extended Edition (WETO-Verlag, 2000). This was also his last edition. It is very unlikely that Albrecht Weber would have erased texts ("The pope will go to Russia, to Moscow") of such importance. Aviso wants to have found that even in the 1st Edition (1990) no corresponding note is to be found (https://garabandalnews.org/2016/02/13/garabandal-and-a-historic-meeting/). This interview is mentioned in the book on pages 130 and 150 [Conchita said this in a long conversation at her house on November 14, 1965.”]. On page 130 is written "When communism comes back, everything will come" (Conchita 1965). On page 150 is an interview of 13th (not 14th) November 1965 with the reference to the three (four) Popes.
While Glenn can answer better than I can and can source better info, as a Garabandalist for over forty years I will say this: I do not have the book the "Finger of God " BUT we all are in agreement re page 130 you reference, "When communism comes back, everything will come." It therefore makes sense, is logical and Possible that a POPE would go to Russia in an attempt to stop the "hostilities, persecution"and apparent take over of world by them. My Opinion based on page 130. Time will tell! Peace!
You may be right. The only reference to a papal visit to Moscow I could find in this alleged interview with Conchita. Unfortunately, any reference to the source is missing and therefore doubt is allowed. I wasnt aware of it but it's Quoting what she had said from The Interview with Mr Weber or wherever to whomever she said it. We will only know for sure 100% when the events happen and how they happen, AFTER they happen. More importantly let's first now more then ever, "BE VERY GOOD. Yeah, sure. But it makes no sense if this false clue spreads all over the world and refers to a wrong source. It is important that such false links are avoided. I believe in the possibility of a papal visit to Moscow before the warning, but not on the basis of this false source (book "the finger of God" / "Der Zeigefinger Gottes", Albrecht Weber). If Conchita does not want to make a statement today, this is to be accepted. It is in fact not the most important issue of the Mother of God.
The Who, why and how are up to God! To wonder about it is fine. Even to speculate a bit is ok. But to harp negatively on it isn't in my view. We all agree the Events-Warning & Miracle WILL HAPPEN & probably soon. The details of all the specifics leading up to it if not correct or misinterpeted or in some cases not correct are NOT important. What important is to "BE Very Good. Stay close to Jesus and Mary. And let God take care of the how, when and who. The events WILL happen whether we are right or wrong about some things leading up to them. Peace be with you.

I see through recent posts that a possible visit of the Pape to Moscow would be a decisive clue to determine certain proximity of the ubiquitous Warning and the great Miracle of Garabandal. Well, just to stir up some hope: It seems that since the present pope met the patriarch of Moscow some months ago in Cuba he has started to meet also other patriarchs (Egipt, i.e.), probably preparing a visit to Moscow to consecrated Rusia to the Virgin of Fatima. We are about to celebrate the centenary of the apparitions.

Can't Glenn just ask Conchita if she remembers this idea about the Pope going to Russia and at his return Russia invades and Europe is attacked? There are enough people now concerned about this that she might be willing to set things straight. Perhaps this could be something also effected by a certain loss of specific memory but it's worth a try. Otherwise there doesn't appear to be anything so far that can back up this alleged statement.....and only time will tell.
Conchita can be over a hundred years old in good health and consequently the announcement of the miracle can be many decades in the future. When the miracle arrives, few people will believe it. A journey from the Pope to Moscow is always possible. Perhaps one of the next popes. A link with Garabandal remains controversial.

Confession At Garabandal the Blessed Virgin reinforced the importance of personal confession. When interviewed in April of 1983, visionary Jacinta Moynihan was asked: "Did the Blessed Virgin ever speak to you about the Sacrament of Reconciliation?" She replied: "Yes she did. Now there are people who want to do away with it, but the Virgin said it was “muy importante“ — “very important." “Confession is the soul’s bath. You must go at least once a week. I do not want souls to stay away from confession more than a week. Even a clean and unoccupied room gathers dust; return after a week and you will see that it needs dusting again!”- -St. Pio (Padre Pio).

TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: SEPTEMBER 13, 1961: THE NIGHT OF THE FIFTY ECSTASIES! From midnight to 4 A.M., Loli and Conchita had close to fifty ecstasies at Cochita's home. Taking advantage of a moment of intermission, Reverend Ramon de la Riva, handed Conchita his old camera equipped with bellows and suggested that she take a photo of the Blessed Virgin. The girl rather handed the camera to Mari-Loli, then in ecstasy; she, not knowing anything about operating this camera, nevertheless went through the five steps needed to take a picture. The photos were failures . . . The Blessed Virgin explained through the intermediary Mari-Loli to the good pastor of Barro, that "even if these photos had been better, he would not in any way have believed more than he already did." Two other attempts, also by Mari-Loli, to "photograph" the Virgin of Mount Carmel (on March 12, 1962 and January 1, 1963) apparently did not come out any better.
