    The Pope's Posse
    Christopher A. Ferrara

    The Italians have a saying, “dimmi con chi vai e ti dirò chi sei,” which translates as “tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are.”

    At this point in the calamitous pontificate of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the list of his friends—those near to his heart, on whom he has lavished special attention—tell us quite clearly who he is:

    · a lady abortionist turned radical Left politician in Italy, who boasted of performing thousands of illegal abortions with a bicycle pump;

    · people living in adultery, whom he counsels to receive Holy Communion without an amendment of life, disregarding any priestly advice to the contrary;

    · flagrant homosexuals living in “unions” based on sodomy;

    · the flagrantly homosexual priest he placed in charge of his household;

    · a pro-homosexual activist priest, whose hands he kissed;

    · “transgenders,” including one who mutilated herself to resemble a man, pretended to be “engaged” to “marry” another woman, and then had a personal audience with Francis, accompanied by his imaginary “fiancée.”

    · the defrocked, child-molesting priest he reinstated and whose suspension of faculties under Benedict XVI he lifted, thus overruling the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith;

    · a bishop who covered up for a child-molesting priest;

    · the notoriously modernist German Cardinal whose notion of “mercy” in the form of Holy Communion for public adulterers in “second marriages” Francis has been promoting from the beginning of his pontificate;

    · a Cardinal who participates in balloon Masses and is Francis’ official spokesman regarding Amoris Laetitia’s opening to Holy Communion for the divorced and “remarried”;

    · still another cardinal of notorious heterodoxy, who covered up for a child-molesting priest, had to resign in disgrace, later plotted for Francis’ election, and then was rewarded by being named to the rigged Synod on the Family;

    · a member of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta who oversaw the distribution of contraceptives, was duly dismissed from his position by the Order’s governing Council when he refused to resign, but then—in a flagrant violation of all applicable laws and norms—was forcibly reinstated by Francis after he had also forced the head the Order to resign;

    · the radically Leftwing, atheist journalist to whom he has made innumerable scandalous remarks reported in the press;

    · Loony Anglican and Lutheran clerics of all sorts, including lady “bishops”;

    · a liberal rabbi and a Muslim leader;

    · various Protestant ministers, with one of whom he “high-fived”;

    · a Marxist priest who thinks Fidel Castro was gift of the Holy ghost and whose suspension by John Paul was lifted by Francis;

    · Liberation theologians, including Leonardo Boff, who abandoned the priesthood and attempted marriage;

    · moral theologians who dissent from Humanae Vitae; including Bernard Häring, perhaps the most infamous of the dissenters;

    · communist dictators, including Fidel Castro and Raul Castro;

    · Marxist dictators, including the one who gave him a hammer-and-sickle “crucifix” he personally took back with him to Rome;

    · radical environmentalist ideologues;

    · atheist population controllers, who promote contraception, abortion and sterilization;

    · Barack Obama;

    · Liberal politicians, rock stars and loony Left Hollywood actors who despise the Church but love Francis;

    · the promoters of the Super Bowl and the Lady Gaga half-time show;

    · every Catholic who is divorced and “remarried,” is involved in homosexual activity, uses contraception, or is otherwise not a “rigorist” who thinks that the negative precepts of the divine and natural law are without exception;

    · Liberal Protestants and Muslim apologists in general.

    This list, while seemingly exhaustive, is by no means complete, but it will have to suffice. On the other hand, it is far easier to list those who are not friends of Francis:

    · Orthodox Catholics, including the cardinals and bishops he has sacked, the traditional orders he has destroyed, and the many young people who are devoted to the Church’s liturgical tradition.

    · Conservative or populist politicians—above all, Donald Trump, against whom he has just launched a barely veiled attack in his latest papal video (read: manifesto).

    So, what do we know about Francis based on the friends of Francis? We know what Antonio Socci has stated with unsparing candor: that with the end of the Obama regime, the fall of Hillary Clinton and rise of Western populism, Francis is “the only point of reference for the international Left, deprived of a leader,” whereas for the Catholic faithful he is “ever more perceived as a politician and a foreign body” in the Church.

    I think the phrase “foreign body” says it all.

    You are so right....many catholic children lose their faith in so called catholic schools. You did the right thing ...and I know it is not easy. My closest friends have home schooled their children....and the difference is unmistakable.

    It does appear to be biased. Biased doesn't necessary mean untruthful. Could you clarify your "blatant lies" comment. If the lies are blatant it should be easy for you to point out the untruths and set the record straight. Otherwise wouldn't it be sinful for you to claim that the report is sinful?

    How about the basis that these people are his friends. People Our Holy Father sees or mentions once...does not make them friends. I wouldn't even call them acquaintances. Yes, he spoke about a dead person positively. What would you expect, he's the Pope. As for some of those others... there is no denying he invited them to speak at the Vatican. But his whole spirituality is about open dialogue. As for Cardinal Burks rift with Holy Father. Cardinal Burk has pushed this to the media. That, to me, is an attack against the Catholic church. So, yes I think this is nonsense. This article is a hit piece that has become a constant occurrence at MOG. To use this type of attacks is evil. You can disagree, you can shout from mountain-top but to use hit pieces is evil. For every soul that is lost by this nonsense...may God be merciful to all those that participate.

    Too much.

    My mother used to tell us, "Run with wolves, howl like wolves". I always hate it when she is right. She's 93. I've heard these things for along time.

    Jesus walked with sinners and tax collectors. You are correct "Run with Wolves, howl like wolves."

    Your attack on the good Cardinal Burke tells me all I need to know about your agenda.

    Tell, me, is it possible for a Pope to commit mortal sin? Is it possible for a Pope to commit the sin of Scandal?

    We've had bad Popes in Church history:

    Jesus also told sinners to go and sin no more. And he spoke often about the reality of Hell. Jesus also said that a man who divorces his wife and remarries (without living as brother and sister) commits the sin of adultery the penalty for which is Hell.

    Pope Frsncis speaks about the devil all the time. And I never spoke against Cardinal Burk but by going to the media...he has hurt his own cause.

    Nonsense. He only went to the Media when Pope Francis refused to answer the Dubia sent in private. Had Cardinal Burke really had an agenda, he would never have gone to Pope Francis in private first.

    You accused Mr. Ferrara of lying in the article. Where did he lie?

    I would imagine that you will be calling Cardinal Burke's forthcoming public correction of Pope Francis a hit piece as well.

    Nonsense, the church is based on obedience and protocol. If the media could be non bias...then it would not be issue. But look at that last article Brian published. That shows the blatantly slanted nonsense that he uses to pull people away from the church. That article has no other reason then to lead the laity away from the Holy Mother Church.

    I already answered your question.

    The Italians have a saying, “dimmi con chi vai e ti dirò chi sei,” which translates as “tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are.”

    His whole article is based that these people are his friends.

    Nonsense.

    How do you see others?

    https://www.google.com/amp/www.cath...e-the-face-of-christ-in-others/?client=safari

    "Encounter and dialogue must be the hallmarks of a bishop’s interactions with others, especially with those who hold differing opinions, the pope said. Dialogue is not “a shrewd strategy” but the path Jesus chose to offer his love to all people.

    Without listening and dialogue, he said, “we fail to understand the thinking of others or to realize deep down that the brother or sister we wish to reach and redeem with the power and the closeness of love, counts more than their positions, distant as they may be from what we hold as true and certain.”

    “Harsh and divisive language does not befit the tongue of a pastor,” Pope Francis said. “It has no place in his heart; although it may momentarily seem to win the day, only the enduring allure of goodness and love remains truly convincing.”

    Now you are putting words in my mouth. But I will say how Cardinal Burke sent letter with other Cardinals was arrogant and prideful. It should have stayed within the Curia. The approach that was taken is fomenting strife and division. Some of you might not appreciate my candor. I might even agree with Cardinal Burke But he has now created division from the Holy Mother Church.

    You guys might not appreciate my opinion but when the Church is divided...sometimes both sides have saints. But woe to those that created the division.

    Brother al

    Note: if you want to know the truth...this is all about money and power.
