Looks like Trump in now favourite to win as Hilary's latest health scares hit home! Something seems to be wrong with her eyes as well (this is real not fake). Expect a nice surprise October/November something really big that will be blamed on Trumph like race riots. Or perhaps even an assassination of the man himself.
The North Carolina governor has declared a state of emergency in the city of Charlotte, as unrest continues over the police killing of a black man. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-charlotte-protests-20160921-snap-story.html Things looking ominous for October/November!!
This sorta goes along with that 2011 "prophecy" about Trump being God's anointed/chosen! http://www.carbonated.tv/news/evangelical-pastor-pray-donald-trump-satanic-attack-video
I find myself very conflicted and having trouble discerning what is in the near future for America. On the one hand, it seems that there are countless Protestant prophecies that Trump is God's anointed one, that he will win the election and return America to greatness--even that America will be the springboard for bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth. This seems plausible because every attack against Trump seems to roll off of him and even add to his popularity, even despite his many gaffes. Further, America as a world power with a large population seems like it would be able to send missionaries all over the world. Finally, it is consistent with Scripture for God to use certain people for his will, even if they aren't completely morally upright. Yet, these prophecies seem almost too good to be true, they are Protestant (rather than Catholic), and they are what we would want to hear. On the other hand, it seems that there are countless Catholic prophecies stating that America is facing immanent chastisement, that the elections are not going to occur, and that the country will be reduced to third-world status. These alleged prophecies are plausible because they seem to be consistent with what we've been hearing for a long time, they take into account the sinfulness of America, and this appears to be what is happening currently. Yet, sometimes these messages seem almost sensational--some of them even sound like something anyone could make up just by looking at the world right now (and perhaps don't leave room for miraculous intervention or surprising turns of events). All I know is that both prophecies can't be true. I lean toward the Catholic prophecies, but that might be denominational bias. I forget who said that only 1 in 50 people claiming to receive messages from God are actually true, but I get the sense that there are a lot of false prophecies on both sides, making it hard to discern the true ones--clearly the devil at work. I guess we don't have to wait too long to see what happens with the election, and that will rule out one or the other. In the meantime, since I can't discern every alleged message, I am trying my best to follow Padre Pio's advice to pray, hope, and don't worry.
With the Trump prophecy....haven't seen many others like that one, even from Protestants.....it doesn't leave out things like being hit with natural disasters or melt downs of the fraudulent systems....in fact it seems to say that the purpose of such a leader is to do just that, expose the evil systems along with those who have had control via those evil means of power takeovers. That could certainly predict a lot of chaos of the type that a clean up and purification could naturally and humanly involve. But it could be a blessing if there is a leader (with face set like a flint) who would stick with it and not hide or simply sit back and encourage the enemies to take over the country as has been the case. And there are even some unapproved Catholic "prophets" who have mentioned the Blessed Mother blessing a one who would fight against abortion. It doesn't speak to some "mighty mouse" to come and save the day. Human free will cannot and should not be controlled by force or evil systems but it would be at least better to have gov. systems not ordering where our freedoms stop or according to personal ideologies that agree with an overall picture dreamed of by some regime that alters the very foundations of the country by wrecking its Constitution and its very foundations. So who knows, but it gives a bit of hope to continue to believe that God recognizes those of good will who have suffered much against the powers of evil and would answer prayers of those with some rather unbelievable intervention of a "chosen" one.....as has happened before in world history. And it was interesting that such a "prophecy" mentions God's own will for Him to set nations' borders while the world seems to want to destroy those in the effort to create that NWO that would necessitate "McRobots" replacing humans so that order can be forced upon the borderless and culture less world that would result!
There is another possibility which in my opinion is the most likely: that prophecies about Trump being chosen by God or that there will be an imminent collapse of the USA are wrong. Earthly super powers come and go but rarely do they collapse overnight. The Word of God is eternal. Everything man made can be surpassed or extinguished. Although I'm not American, I can understand your fears. Advances in science and technology predict that the short term future is uncertain for developed countries, with very many currently secure jobs being replaced by machines. Something similar happened in the industrial revolution but then more people were required to make the machines. This led to more and often better jobs for people after a period of transition. Nobody is confidently predicting that there will be as many new opportunities after the next major shift. Even those who take the optimistic view on new opportunities are less than confident that the period of transition will be smooth. Expect uncertainty no matter who wins the election. It is prudent to have some contingency plans for emergencies. Although I have neither the resources nor inclination to make financial investments, I have a passing interest in some financial programmes on TV. Lately, there have been plenty of references to huge changes coming down the line to the jobs market, not just in mundane repetitive tasks but right across the board. I suppose the repercussions will depend on the speed and number of people impacted by the changes. Mass unemployment or under-employment tends to cause civil unrest and it isn't unheard of for Government to find a war to fight when there's trouble brewing at home. That's my pessimistic view. I could be way off the mark and a new golden age could be dawning for the US. Catholics are called to live the faith and make sure our souls are ready to stand before God at any given moment. We know that many will lose the faith and that the remnant will be persecuted before the Second Coming, which could be in the near future or thousands of years in the future. There are Catholic prophecies of a chastisement but nobody knows when the chastisement will happen. I don't know of any approved Catholic prophecies of a chastisement that mentions the US specifically. Pray, hope and don't worry should be the motto of every Christian with regard to their spiritual well being. Prudence in temporal matters doesn't conflict with Padre Pio's advice.
Thanks, earthtoangels, for providing some nuance. I painted the picture in very broad strokes, and you are right to point out that it may be more complex than either scenario that I presented. If Trump is anointed, his cleaning up of America could still include a lot of strife. I thought that I had heard and listened to multiple Protestant prophecies about him, but perhaps they all came from the same source. Dolours, you said what I was hinting at in my original post: maybe none (or almost none) of these prophecies are true. I certainly find myself vacillating between thinking that these are the end times and that we're not there yet. On the one hand, you see the state of the world and can't help but think something big must be coming, and that all of these sins need to be punished. On the other hand, I think that things could still get a whole lot worse and maybe it's just historical bias that makes me think that we must be at the end now. Not to mention that there were very few prophets in Israel's time, and although the population of the world has grown so much, I find it hard to believe that there are as many true prophets out there as there are claiming to be. This election, and 2017, might come and go just as 1999, 2012, 2015, and so many other dates have. Along with Padre Pio's advice, I try to remind myself of St. Francis, who said that if it were the end of the world he would continue doing what he always does and wouldn't change--we should live every day as if it might be our last, staying in a state of grace and doing what we're called to. It does strike me, as you said, that no approved prophecies mention America. I don't know if this is good or bad. Perhaps we're off the hook, or perhaps we're so far gone that even the Blessed Mother doesn't want to mention us! Joking aside, I'm sure it's something in between.
Nothing would make me happier than the 45%+ of USA "Catholics" who Vote Democrat Party ... NOT!! .... next month. I simply can't understand WHY any Person of Christian Faith would vote for any Political party that enables, celebrates and defends UNLIMITED ABORTION & PERVERSION. The argument is always ... Democrats are better for the Poor & Downtrodden! ... REALLY!!!??? Since 1965 the Liberals & Democrats have created more dependant on Gubermint Poor (Welfare Slaves) than have ever existed. Their policies, well meaning though they seem, have destroyed Families, Industry, Jobs while encouraging dependency, substance abuse and human misery .... and taken God from Christmas, Easter, Schools and Public Square. One need look only at the past 7.7 years of the Obama Administration to prove All of the Above!!! .... and the Foreign Scene ..... Nightmares .... & Daymares "A Money Changers Moment for Catholics" http://www.aim.org/aim-column/a-money-changers-moment-for-catholics/?utm GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
This article mentions an important event on EWTN to help persuade Catholics and the hierarchy to retain their values and fight being persuaded by financial incentives to abandon those core beliefs. SPECIAL PROGRAMMING A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING - A WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING A look back on the life, ideals, and works of 1960s community activist, Saul Alinsky, through the lens of a Catholic perspective. Show Day....Saturday Show Date...10/01/2016 Start Time...07:30pm Duration......90 minutes The schedule may be different for other locations outside of the U.S.
Thanks for letting us know that the programme will be shown next Saturday. I thought I had missed it. I usually receive the EWTN programme schedule in the post but if I received the one for October I can't remember where I put it. Do you know what is the time zone of the 7.30 p.m. programme so I can check out what that will be in GMT?
The problem with Catholic voters is the Catholic bishops. In our parish and diocese, Sacramento, we hear nothing that would lead a Hillary supporter to reconsider her decision. Of course, a looonnngggg California Faithful Citizenship guide is published which frames immigration policy, excessive consumption of material goods, and abortion as equal issues which Catholics must consider when voting. Geez, I thought voting for a candidate that supports abortion was a sin. No more. At least not in California. It appears to me that Catholic bishops will, on one hand, decry nontraditional marriage, but on the other, be first in line to hire Catholic Charities workers to sign people up for Obamacare. Maybe it's just California, but I doubt it. If we had true Catholic leadership we could change the course of our country. But, we don't. Our bishops are very quiet during this election. They're not saying a peep about the fact that Trump has promised to appoint pro-life Supreme Court justices and wants Planned Parenthood to be defunded. WHY are they not supporting Trump???? I can only conclude that they support and benefit from the statu quo.
I checked on EWTN and it's scheduled to run 7:30 pm PDT. I think that works out to 2:30 am GMT next day.
We must remember to take heart. Our God is the Master of the Universe. [Psalms 1] {1:1} Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence: {1:2} But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night. {1:3} And he shall be like a tree which is planted near the running waters, which shall bring forth its fruit, in due season. And his leaf shall not fall off: and all whatsoever he shall do shall prosper. {1:4} Not so the wicked, not so: but like the dust, which the wind driveth from the face of the earth. {1:5} Therefore the wicked shall not rise again in judgment: nor sinners in the council of the just. {1:6} For the Lord knoweth the way of the just: and the way of the wicked shall perish. [Psalms 2] {2:1} Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things? {2:2} The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord, and against his Christ. {2:3} Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us cast away their yoke from us. {2:4} He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them. {2:5} Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his rage. {2:6} But I am appointed king by him over Sion, his holy mountain, preaching his commandment. {2:7} The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee. {2:8} Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession. {2:9} Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter's vessel. {2:10} And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth. {2:11} Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto him with trembling. {2:12} Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way. {2:13} When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him.
I agree with others here that we need to vote for Trump for the sake of the unborn and the upcoming Supreme Court appointments. No one person, party, or government will be able to fix this country. At this point we know God needs to intervene. But He sees us in that voting booth, and God sees that we play our tiny part by NOT voting in any person or party that supports abortion wholeheartedly.
I checked out the EWTN website for the programme schedule for our region per HeavenlyHosts advice. It's 3.30 a.m. on Sunday for us. Might have to record it. Thanks for your help.
When I was growing up in the 1950's, we read the Washington Post each day. EVERY Saturday, without fail, someone paid to put an ad in the very beginning of the classifieds which was Psalm 2. EVERY Saturday, the Post classifieds would start out with :Why do the Gentiles rage, and the people devise vain things. I see the whole psalm again now in Our Mother's Forum, and I understand a little bit more. Someone was onto something very holy back then, and was bold enough and had enough money to publish a psalm in a very worldly newspaper, every Saturday without fail for years. And the Masons were behind the scenes even then, and the generations of the Luciferian elite!!! In my child's mind, I can see still a picture of what I thought was a bunch of Gentiles raging!
"For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God: it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling-block, and to the Gentiles, foolishness: But to them that are called, both Jews, and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God, is wiser than men: and the weakness of God, is stronger than men."
