Aside from Supreme Court nominees, there's another very important matter of concern to Christians. The new administration will be negotiating the future of Syria and Syrian Christians need someone who isn't on the Arab or Israeli payroll. I read that there were only about half a dozen Christians among the 10,000 refugees the USA are taking. The UN also has a big say in who goes where which doesn't augur well for the Christians many of whom are living on the fringes in Kurdish regions or in Jordan. They surely aren't getting the royal treatment in any Muslim countries, so they will need someone to look out for them. The Orthodox Church will likely put some pressure on Putin but we don't know how much leverage he will have because the Sunni states have a lot of influence with NATO. God help them.

Excellent points. I say we suspend all foreign aid, especially to Saudi Arabia and Israel, until such time that America is rebuilt and the American taxpayer is reimbursed for the decades of unjust warmongering for foreign interests. Let those countries fight their own wars and produce their own weapons. Enough of this nonsense of stealing our hard earned money and giving it other countries as foreign aid. Sadly, Obama just approved a record 38 Billion in Foreign Aid to Israel alone. And we all wonder why our taxes are so high. Thankfully, Trump has put all foreign aid up for review, including to Israel:

  3. Well, sigh, that is what governments in this fallen world do, they wage war. They wage war to stimulate the economy. sigh

A stable world greatly benefits everyone. Helping our allies is important, if we dont then China/Russia will and we could be in a world of hurt. We act like we live in a vaccum, that if we just stay here in our borders and ignore the rest of the world we will be fine. This is not 1679 any more.

I almost posted something similar. I absolutely understand where Richard is coming from but this where the difficulty lies. If we don't help our allies upfront we get dragged into things at a later date which can be more devastating. In all honesty neither approach has worked out well over the past 70 years or so.

I don't know does anyone else get a bad feeling about Trump. People looked to Hitler in the 30's as if he was a hero and we all know how that went. Does anyone else get an eerie feeling sometimes about the whole thing? Perhaps it could just be a wrong feeling.

Comparing Trump to Hitler is as pathetic as it is predictable. The Neocon cabal has demonized him just like they demonize Putin and Assad so he must be a genuine threat to the satanic establishment. Never before in American history have so many Mainstream Media outlets and pundits - from both sides of the aisle - been so determined to attack and demonize a presidential candidate as they are currently doing to Trump. It is a disgrace and this election is really our last chance to put an end to the Tyranny of the establisment. Those who don't vote or vote for Hillary are voting for war, economic collapse and Judgement on this nation.

I don't think he is like Hitler, but I like to err on the side of caution as a rule when it comes to leaders, just to be safe. He could be a very good leader for all I know, but I think its good to be cautious and history has taught us that, that's all. I would be equally cautious of Clinton, if not more so. And the Bible teaches us always to be vigilant- Ephesians 6:12 "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places."

I've got unsettled feelings about Trump and horrific feelings about Hillary ... and have little hope that The Republic will survive in the form envisioned by the Faith, Traditions and Culture of Our Founders if any one of them ... or if one of the two unknowns in "the Race" become President! The USA ... and EU ... have passed that critical "Fork in the Road" and taken The Wrong Path ..... and THE STORM must take it's course :(!!

Yea I dont buy the Trump/Hitler or Trump/Racist at all, but I do think Trump is a complete fraud who says anything he deems helps him and all he wants is to be president. The only one who has really benefited from his campaign so far are his companies which he has paid millions to in service fees. He has no moral compass that I have seen that will lead to him making decisions if he is elected. He cannot be trusted. I know... neither can hillary.

At base, Trump is just a flashy builder. Hitler might have painted houses at one point, but that is about the only characteristic they share. There is absolutely nothing I have ever heard about Trump in the past, nor of his demeanour in the present that in any way would remind me of those dictators of the thirties. It is not a sin to be popular among the people that the Clinton elite demonise as 'deplorable' and 'irredeemable'. The latter, to me, smacks far more of the hateful dehumanisation that Hitler deployed against his enemies.

Of course, you are spot on about vigilance. We should trust no prince. Only the King.

Trump might turn out to be a chancer or a shake-down artist. Hardly compares with a fervent devotee of Moloch who has shown herself to be a liar, a traitor and an utter incompetent. It is almost comparable with the difference between venial and mortal, as far as I can see.

Whether he's a saint or a demon, I think it would be almost impossible for Trump to be a dictator under the US system. Without the full support of one of the parties, he will have to make a lot of compromises and he doesn't have the full support of the Republicans. In fact, there's a very powerful elite in the Republican party working against him and they need him to fail if they are to regain control of the party. They must be very worried by his statement today that the TPP is out even if Obama gets it passed in the lame duck session. Hillary is depending on it being passed, letting her off the hook if she wins, and Obama knows that the likes of Romney and Bush want it passed so he will most likely get enough cross party support for it. I'm wondering how Trump could stop it if he wins because he can't veto something that has already been passed by both houses and signed off by his predecessor.

Before anyone votes this November, we should all listen to a very bold, outspoken priest named Fr. Stephen Imbarrato. He delivered a homily yesterday on the televised Mass on EWTN that put the fate of the US in our Catholic hands. I have been craving strong, direct leadership from the pulpit for some time now. He leaves no doubt as to the responsibility we have to God and our nation.

Jesuit High School Bans Alumnus for Criticizing Tim Kaine

After reading the piece, Brophy grad Eric J. Halvorson entered a comment observing that Mr. Kaine may be a man for others, but he is certainly not “a man for the unborn,” based on his public record and presidential running mate, the noted abortion supporter Hillary Clinton.

According to an email from Halvorson, several minutes later he received a message from the Brophy Facebook manager requesting that he refrain from making “political” comments on the school’s page—a curious request given that the USA Today article featured a prominent Catholic politician.

Halvorson responded by saying that his comments were not intended to be political, but spoke directly to the sanctity of human life.

Later that afternoon, Halvorson found that he had been permanently removed from the school’s Facebook fans, meaning he was essentially banned from the page and could no longer make comments of any sort.

As Campaign Enters Final Phase, Trump Launches Major Pro-Life Outreach
With seven weeks to go before the voters head to the polls, Donald Trump has announced the formation of a new Pro-Life Coalition.
In a letter to pro-life leaders released on Friday, he invited them to join the Coalition to help make clear to pro-life voters “the stark contrast” between him and his opponent, a contrast he strengthened by making new commitments to the pro-life base of the Republican Party whose votes he needs to win.

Spearheading the new coalition will be Marjorie Dannenfelser, the long-time president of the Susan B. Anthony List, and one of the most respected and influential leaders in the pro-life movement.

......Asked about her strategy for winning over still-undecided voters to the Trump cause, Dannenfelser pointed out, “The thing that few seem to be talking about and [that] must be stated emphatically is that we will live in a very different America under a Hillary Clinton Supreme Court. The Right to Life and religious liberty rooted in the constitution will be routed for decades. If not permanently.”

  18. I'm voting for Trump, if I vote, and there is definitely no way he's a Hitler type (I don't think he cares enough about anything to do what Hitler did). He's also an isolationist (Trump, not Hitler) and I kinda dig that.

  19. I just read something today that Trump is also pro-life. Yes, I also "kinda dig" the fact that he is an isolationist. We don't need another globalist. We have enough issues right here at home to work on.
