    I didn't know that!

Lately I've been wondering about rounds in sanctification - I've been praying to receive every act of the Holy Spirit as if all had received with love and thanksgiving, and putting my "I love you, Glory to our thrice holy God, and come, Divine Will, reign on earth as in heaven", in every act of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all, on behalf of all. Any other ideas?

At Mass, I felt inspired to share a mystical experience that I had last night.

I was practicing contemplative prayer, and started seeing, with my eyes closed, horrible demons. They were each different and terribly grotesque, and it seemed they were peering in at me, through cracks in the door. This didn't frighten me. I asked, "Lord, what is this?" This is the explanation I received:

"Living in the Divine Will is a fortress that keeps the enemy away. Your enemy knows the power of My Will, and desperately wants to draw you out, in order to destroy you. It is imperative that you don't step out into your own will. I let you see this so you will know the reality of this, and the seriousness of the hour"

What I understood is that the enemy will use any avenue, any person who gives him an open door, to draw us out from our protection (under the mantle of the Blessed Mother, in the Divine Will). The enemy wants to battle us on his ground, in our own prideful self-will, where we don't stand a chance.

Be sober and alert, dear friends!

    ROUNDS OF REDEMPTION
    VOL. 17

In the name of everyone and everything I imprint my little “I love you” on:

( On the act of descending from Heaven to incarnate yourself.

( In the act in which you were conceived I the most pure womb of the Virgin Mary.

( In the 1st drop of blood that was formed in your humanity.

( In the 1st beat of your heart.

( I want to seal all your heartbeats with my I love you.

    ( In your 1st breath.

    ( In your 1st pains.

( In your 1st tears you shed while still in the maternal womb.

( I want to correspond for your prayers, your reparations, your offerings with my ‘I love you.’

    ( In your birth.

( In the cold that you suffered.

( In each drop of milk that you imbibed from your Most Holy Mother.

( In the swaddling clothes with which your Mother wrapped you.

( I extend my ‘I love you’ in that soil over which your dear mother laid you in the manger, and where your most tender members felt the harshness of the straw, but more than straw, the harshness of hearts.

( On the act of your Mother giving you her maternity when you suckled her milk.

( On each of your sobs.

( On all the tears and pains of your infancy.

( I make my I love you flow in all the relationships and communications and love that you had with your Immaculate Mother:

( On the water you drank.

( On the work you did with your hands.

( On your most tender kisses.

( On all the words that you spoke.

( On the food that you ate.

( On the steps that you took.

( On the acts you did in your hidden life.

( On each of your interior acts.

( On each pain you suffered.

( Over those ways you traveled.

( On the air that you breathed.

( On the sermons of your public life.

( On the miracles that you worked.

( On the sacraments that you instituted.

( In everything, Oh, my Jesus, even in the most innermost fibers of your heart.

( On all the pains of your passion.

( On all the spittle, scorn and insults they gave you.

( On each drop of blood you shed.

( On each blow you received.

( On each wound inflicted in your body.

( On each thorn that pierced your head.

( On each bitter sorrow of the crucifixion.

( On the words you pronounced on the cross until your last breath.

( On everything you touched, saw and heard.

I see a lot of similarities between the Interior Castle and the teachings of the Book of Heaven.

Fr. Robert Young says that both St. Theresa and St. John of the Cross spoke of knowing there was something more beyond mystical marriage, but didn't know what it was. Fr. Robert believes that this "something more" is living in the Divine Will.

Thank you for sharing this with us Kathy. I'm on my journey and I'm struggling and failing at times. But thanks to God's grace, I'm called now to weekly confession. I'm still a novice in learning of this Divine Love, but I know after confession I feel new again and I alway ask the priest specifically to pray over me after for the grace of tge Holy Spirit. I feel protected but in my weakness, I do step beyond the "wall". Im afraid that I'm still a work in progress. I had a long week where I was traveling away from family and put in lots of hours. I wanted to go to stations last night and asked my kids. They fought me and argued to the point where I yelled at them and enter to stations in complete anger. I wasn't really "there". But then God again gave me mercy- I really couldn't follow the stations as the evil one was grabbing me and taking my mind away. All I could do was mentally tell God I'm here, I'm a sinner. And I got back in my mind- I know all about you. I walked this walk for you. I love you. I'm not ashamed to tell you, my eyes reddened and tears dropped. God is good. Please continue to pray for my constant conversion. Thanks. Be assured of my prayers.

As if I needed more "confirmation", I read this article on SD which is along the lines of this.

    Mike;

I find that when I feel myself drawn into a fight, if I just pray, "Lord, think in my thinking, act in my acting; I pour myself into the ocean of your will", or, for short-hand, "Lord, you take over", the Lord Himself applies the brakes to the situation.

I have found that on my journey with the divine will the more I take in through my understanding by a loving heart, soul, mind, and all my earthly strength the closer I feel this mystical bond of oneness with Him. As this grows I also see the covenant bond of our marriage with my wife growing and my compassion and concern for others are in a parallel direction through the grace of God . It is like digging deeper into the two greatest commandments of our Lord until one day we will become covered totally in LOVE. Sad to say that those loved ones in our family that have put God aside become the exact opposite. Lack of love for God becomes lack of love for wife, family and friends. So, I continue my prayers and love for them during this separation and know God will hear and answer my loving concerns.

For several years before discovering life in the Divine Will, I prayed, "Lord, make me into love with skin wrapped around it." Living in the Divine Will is the way to that goal!

Today is no.4 as I progress through The Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine Will. In today's meditation Our Lady proposed to me the challenge of the Test: that of surrendering to God through her, my personal, human will. Adam failed in his Test. He already lived in the Divine Will at the first moment of his existence, but God presented him with the Test so that he as a free creature could personally and humbly submit his human will as an unblemished sacrifice. Yet, he failed to reserve to God alone the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It may have only been one bite, but it was a bite which held on to his own human will. :(

So Mary presented to me the same Test. To be honest, I asked myself if I had not already submitted to this Test before in my previous conversions and/or consecrations? But I set aside that little unsettling question, and proceeded to gently submit. Looking in my heart to find a way to best express it, I began to sing a St. Louis Jesuits' song I had memorized many years ago, Take Lord Receive. Below are the lyrics. Is it not amazing that this song, based on a prayer composed by St. Ignatius Loyola, mirrors the desire of the Divine Will so closely!?:ROFLMAO: I did not realize the profound compatibility until I finished.

Take, Lord, receive all my liberty, my memory, understanding, my entire will.

Refrain: Give me only your love, and your grace, that's enough for me; your love and your grace are enough for me.

Take, Lord, receive all I have and possess. You have given all to me, now I return it.

Refrain: Give me only your love, and your grace, that's enough for me; your love and your grace are enough for me.

Take, Lord receive, all is yours now. Dispose of it wholly according to Your Will.

Refrain: Give me only your love, and your grace, that's enough for me; your love and your grace are enough for me.

I think Our Lady and the Holy Spirit were the ones to dig that out of the dusty cobwebs of my subconscious!

Yes, I've always been a contemplative. After my first Communion, I just wanted to lay on my bed - and stay in the peace and joy I felt. And right after my conversion in 1988, I started reading right away about contemplative prayer. I remember going to that place of contemplation and praying, "God, I don't really know you. Show me your power." Immediately, I felt like I was shooting straight up into outer space with a jet pack. I started screaming for Him to stop, and haven't asked for such a silly thing since. ;)

Since trying to live in the Divine Will, I feel called to spend time with Jesus in this way once or twice a day; especially when laying down to sleep.

On the right track Kathy! LOVE ENCLOSED IN SKIN. If we live in His Will we also have the sole purpose to give and not receive.
    December 16, 1922 volume 15
"Nothing can be compared to my Conception, neither love, greatness, nor power. My conception was not the creation of new life, but the enclosure in human flesh of the Life which gives life to everyone; it was not something that made Me more than what I am but something that limited Me for the purpose of giving, not receiving. The One Who has created everything was enclosed in a small, created humanity!"

I was just listening to one of Fr. Robert Young's archived podcasts. At the 36 minute mark, Jesus tells Luisa about how He has brought people through the centuries, in a progressive way, to different parts of the castle of His Will:

I am a bit envious of this gift of comtemplative prayer. It is a gift or grace, right? You can't just decide, this morning I will do contemplative prayer, right? I suppose it can't hurt to ask for the grace, as I would imagine it must be pretty amazing.

It seems to me that a natural inclination toward it helps, but I can't imagine the grace not being given to one who sincerely desires it. I think it takes patience, letting go of agendas, and an attitude of receptivity, a willingness to receive whatever comes. Lately, I've been just inviting Jesus to rest in me, and requesting permission to rest in Him; and inviting Him to do whatever He pleases with the time. Sometimes I don't sense anything "happening", but I come out of that prayer time refreshed and joyful. Sometimes I receive direction. Sometimes the Blessed Mother shows up. Sometimes it feels like sitting on a porch swing with the one I love, with no need for words. I feel called to it at different times of the day; it seems He desires this time.

Thank you Kathy for sharing this story. I will share one of mine here, which is not mystical like yours, but is related to it I am sure.

I had a very weird & unsettling nightmare last night that left me feeling very perturbed and unsettled this morning. Yet, for years now, ever since my "conversion" (I call it that even if I have always been in the Church), I sleep profoundly and peacefully with no dreams whatsoever. I rarely have any dreams, let alone bad ones, and I view bad ones as a sign of evil slipping in through an open door.

I was meditating this morning on what caused this and I think it was caused by my getting worked up and posting in that other thread on the pope. My mistake, I saw the pothole and should have avoided it but instead of following the Lord's Will, I followed my own and collected the fruits of that deviation last night.

It's so easy to stray, Lord keep me close to You!
