    lynnfiat Fiat Voluntas Tua

“My daughter, you must know that my coming upon earth and everything I did in Redemption, my very Death and Resurrection, was nothing other than preparatory act for the Kingdom of my Divine Will; and when I formed the ‘Our Father’, I formed the seed of the Kingdom of my Divine Fiat in the midst of creatures. And if, when I speak, I create and I make the greatest, most beautiful and marvelous works come out of nothing, much more so when, with the empire of my speaking prayer, I have the virtue of creating what I want. Therefore, the seed of the Kingdom of my Will was created by Me in the act of my praying, as I formed and recited the ‘Our Father’. And if I taught it to the Apostles, it was so that the Church, by reciting it, might water and fecundate this seed, and they might dispose themselves to model their lives according to the dispositions of my Divine Fiat.

My knowledges about It, my many manifestations, have developed this seed; and since they have been accompanied by the acts done by you in my Divine Will, so many little grains have formed as to form a great mass, from which each one can take his part - always if they want to - in order to live of the Life of the Divine Will."

I have considered for some time the awesome depth of the words...Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Yes, each of us must passionately desire this for our own personal walk, and for the Church as a whole. Also, I pray the Lord raises shepherds to preach this! But is it not precious that the next line of the Our Father asks...Give us this day our daily bread?

    CCC #2837

2837 "Daily" (epiousios) occurs nowhere else in the New Testament. Taken in a temporal sense, this word is a pedagogical repetition of "this day," to confirm us in trust "without reservation." Taken in the qualitative sense, it signifies what is necessary for life, and more broadly every good thing sufficient for subsistence. Taken literally (epi-ousios: "super-essential"), it refers directly to the Bread of Life, the Body of Christ, the "medicine of immortality," without which we have no life within us. Finally in this connection, its heavenly meaning is evident: "this day" is the Day of the Lord, the day of the feast of the kingdom, anticipated in the Eucharist that is already the foretaste of the kingdom to come. For this reason it is fitting for the Eucharistic liturgy to be celebrated each day.

The Eucharist is our daily bread. The power belonging to this divine food makes it a bond of union. Its effect is then understood as unity, so that, gathered into his Body and made members of him, we may become what we receive. . . . This also is our daily bread: the readings you hear each day in church and the hymns you hear and sing. All these are necessities for our pilgrimage.

The Father in heaven urges us, as children of heaven, to ask for the bread of heaven. [Christ] himself is the bread who, sown in the Virgin, raised up in the flesh, kneaded in the Passion, baked in the oven of the tomb, reserved in churches, brought to altars, furnishes the faithful each day with food from heaven.

Too often, we are only taught the temporal sense of daily as outlined above. But in his Vulgate translation, St. Jerome quoted the literal sense: super-essential! And so I see the Eucharist as the gift par excellence for living in the Divine Will. How fascinating that the Lord's servant of the Divine Will, Luisa, was sustained by the Bread of Life alone!

May we go frequently to Holy Mass this Lent!

    From Vol. 15, May 2, 1923
And when my ‘Fiat Voluntas Tua’ has Its fulfillment ‘on earth as It is in Heaven’, then will the complete fulfillment of the second part of the Our Father take place - that is, ‘Give us this day our daily bread.’ I said: ‘Our Father, in the name of all, I ask You for three kinds of bread each day: the bread of your Will, or rather, more than bread, because if bread is necessary two or three times a day, this one is necessary at each moment, in all circumstances. Even more, it must be not only bread, but like balsamic air that brings life - the circulation of the Divine Life in the creature. Father, if this bread of your Will is not given, I will never be able to receive all the fruits of my Sacramental Life, which is the second bread we ask of You every day. Oh! how my Sacramental Life feels discomforted, because the bread of your Will does not nourish them; on the contrary, it finds the corrupted bread of the human will. Oh! how disgusting it is to Me! How I shun it! And even though I go to them, yet I cannot give them the fruits, the goods, the effects, the sanctity, because I do not find Our bread in them. And if I give something, it is in small proportion, according to their dispositions, but not all the goods which I contain; and my Sacramental Life is patiently waiting for man to take the bread of the Supreme Will, in order to be able to give all the good of my Sacramental Life. See then, how the Sacrament of the Eucharist - and not only It, but all the Sacraments, left to my Church and instituted by Me - will give all the fruits which they contain and complete fulfillment, when Our bread, that is, the Will of God, is done on earth as It is in Heaven. Then I asked for the third bread - the material one. How could I say: ‘Give us this day our bread’?

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

This is very interesting. I always thought Holy Eucharist is the bread of Angels, or bread of Heaven.
Then a second bread. Holy Bible the bread of Angels, or bread of Heaven. And because when the Bible is read aloud, it is Heavenly bread multiplied by as many people as hear it. I often thought this was something to do with the multiplication of bread in the Gospels. Maybe I am way off on this, just a thought.

'Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.' For a long time I used to think, 'well, I can't change anyone else; but I hope to keep the 10 Commandments best I can to make True, Thy Will be done.
Of course that is a Julia type response to living in the Divine Will, at the simplest level. And all before I found the Luisa Picarreta information here on Mother of God forum.

Then I read of Jesus beautiful novena with the prayer. Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything.
And the explanation from Jesus that we need to trust Him to take care of everything just as the Father takes care of everything in Heaven. And Jesus assures us He will take care of everything. We just have to learn to trust Him. I love this. What a sigh of relief to know Jesus does not want us to burden ourselves. He wants us to give all our cares and concerns to Him. He will take care of everything, that is His very job as our Lord and King. WOW And it will be living in the Divine Will, as it is in Heaven.

Tucked under the wing of our loving Lord. Praise You, Bless You, Thank You Jesus. I love You

from the Book of Heaven, Vo. 14 - 6/15/1922

Now, my Will has not changed: what It was, It is, and will be. More so since, I Myself having come upon earth, I came to tie again the Divine Will to the human. For one who does not escape from this tie and places herself at the mercy of the Divine Will, letting herself be preceded, accompanied and followed, enclosing her act inside my Volition, what happened to Me happens to the soul. See, as you were fusing your thoughts, your words, your works, your reparations, your little love in my Will, I extended them, I multiplied them, and they made themselves antidote for each thought, for each word, for each work, reparation for each offense, and love for each love that is due to Me. And if this does not happen, it is the fault of the human will which, not abandoning itself completely prey to the Divine Will, does not take everything, nor can it give itself to everyone, therefore it feels the sensations of what is human, which make it unhappy, circumscribe it, impoverish it, and render it partial. This is the reason for all my interest that your will live life in Mine, and that you understand well what it means to live in It, as much as it is possible for a creature; because if you do this, you will have obtained everything, and will give Me everything.”

Proving yet again what a joker He is... this week on Thursday in Adoration I read the readings for the day - and guess what, the psalm for the day was the very one He 'gave' me last week!

I hope and pray that I can live in the Divine Will - I know it's what He wants, but me and my will and my sin are such an obstinate obstacle!
Lord have mercy, Jesus I trust in you.

Jesus says to ask to live in His Will and He will grant it "even if on loan". He knows we are all sinners and how difficult it is to abandon ourselves completely to Him in the world today, but He says as long as we "desire It", He will take care of the rest. Ask for the Kingdom. Fiat!

Have any of you asked our Lady to join you in offering prayers said in His Divine Will? I am attracted to this devotion, but feel that it is presumptious of me to do so without her, given my weakness and tendency to get elated. I have made my consecration to her, so I think this is appropriate, and freer of pitfalls. What do you think?

From my readings (and lived experience), it's as simple as handing over your will, asking for entry into His Will and praying, "Jesus, I trust in you", as often as possible. Our will is the cause of sin; His Will causes our sin to fall away. He wants this more than we do!

Yes! Our Blessed Mother is Queen of the Divine Will! I try to do all of my acts in the Divine Will for her intentions.

In the Book of Heaven, Jesus tells Luisa that our Blessed Mother wants all of her children living in the Divine Will, and prepares us and draws us to this life. It seems to me that total consecration to her is almost a prerequisite.

Also, life in the Divine Will provides safeguards against pride, because on one hand it is simple and hidden - you can't see what's being done with your little acts, and on the other hand, after years of striving for virtue, suddenly Jesus Himself removes the shadows in your soul, and pours virtues into you and changes your appetites. Sin becomes repulsive.

I pray the prayer of St. J.P. II each morning:
    "Immaculate Conception, Mary my Mother,
Live in me, act in me, speak in and through me, think your thoughts in my mind, love through my heart, give me your disposition and feelings, teach, lead, and guide me to Jesus, correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior, possess my soul, take over my entire personality and life, replace it with yourself, incline me to constant adoration and thanksgiving, and keep us in this union always."
By praying this prayer, I believe that all our acts and prayers are joined to our Blessed Mother. Also, your morning offering - offering all to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary would seem also to answer your question. God bless you.

I'm sure MMarie is not the only one wondering how living in the Divine Will works with total consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Here are some suggestions:

    1. Read this book! http://luisapiccarreta.me/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/The-Virgin-Mary-in-the-w-cover-8.5-x-11.pdf

    2. Since every act done in the Divine Will is divine and eternal, and everything our Blessed Mother did on earth were acts of Divine Will, you can join your little acts to hers. Example: while cooking or doing housework, I join these acts of mine with all the similar acts she did, and those of all the Saints, and offer glory and thanksgiving to the Father on behalf of all people, from the first to the last, and ask for the Blessed Mother's intentions for all of her children in the work of their hands.

    3. Since the Blessed Mother is Queen of the Divine Will, I ask her often to hold my hand and teach me how to live always in the Divine Will.

    4. I ask Jesus to pray rosaries with me in His Divine Will for His Mother's intentions. Before each decade, I give glory and thanksgiving and love to God for the acts of that mystery and receive the good contained for every person from the first to the last.

    5. Just as our Blessed Mother successfully begged God for the coming of the Messiah, I join with her in crying out for God's Will to reign on earth as in heaven.

    6. Every time I say "Fiat!" to the events in my life, I try to remember to join my fiat to that of our Blessed Mother and all of the Saints, and I say it on behalf of every person, from the first to the last.

Our Blessed Mother is the ark of the New Covenant. Living in her Immaculate Heart means you ARE living in the Divine Will. But Jesus wants us to know it, love it and possess it totally, to become formed into His likeness. When this happens, we can truly say, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me!"

What about offering all of humanity's small acts of spontaneous generosity to others, in His Will, as a paean of praise to the goodness of His creation?

Absolutely! And in the Divine Will, your own acts of spontaneous generosity, done in the Divine Will, obtain the grace of generosity for all of humanity who is receptive to receive it. And those who are not receptive, you do it for them as if they had been generous, to call down mercy upon them and to offer the glory to God that they owe him and are not giving.

Mother Angelica had a big problem with this as a novice. Gods Will, Gods will. So she went to God and talked to Him about it and the Lord told her, Angelica don't think of it as My Will, but instead say My Love, may My Love be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The longer i live the more i think that, in my life anyway, this very thread may be the reason this forum exists!
I'm blind Bartimaeus, i can hear Jesus, i can nearly smell him. I'm calling out to Him, and any minute now He's gonna call me, and I'm gonna run through that crowd like some kinda eejit, and only ever look back in gratitude!

God bless you saints for not telling me to be quiet, but actually helping me to hear His voice in the midst of all the din. God bless you all,

  20. Like lynnfiat, I offer the prayer of JPII to Our Lady each morning, and I also say it Jesus in the Divine Will by substituting the words, "Our Lady" with Divine Will. I have also consecrated my life to her and all my prayers, good works, etc go to and through her first, so as to make them her own. I agree she is the best for avoiding pitfalls etc :)
