Thank you for your prayers for my pregnancy. On Nov 23rd Matthew James was born. Everything went fine, he is healthy, and this unplanned child is a lesson from God for me in trust. I have a lot more to learn and need to remember that anxiety is a tactic of the devil. Matthew is such a blessing to us and his brother. We didn't know how much our family needed him. I wonder what God's plan is for him. This year has been a test in trust for me. The unplanned pregnancy (at 42) and my husband's job loss (found better job) were big trials. My co worker who was to cover my maternity leave died unexpectedly on the same day Matthew was born. Worrying about raising a child in today's chaotic world... well I now understand that I can't give up hope in the world. Hope and trust. Your prayers were so powerful for me. Thank you!!
May your sweet child be your joy! My daughter is. I actually was pregnant at the same time as my 19 year old oldest daughter who was unmarried. I was seriously in a mental turmoil. I lost the baby and powerfully realized that I am NOT in control. It was my surrender that helped me accept all of the trials and love my daughter even more in her unexpected state and the emotional upheaval it had on my family. Losing a baby on top of that almost threw me off the bridge! My youngest daughter I had in my late 30's. I was told I could not have anymore children after that, for fear of tearing my uterus. We 100% totally trusted God. It was a huge trial and boy did he come through! That child is such a joy to me! She is faithful, funny and loves to snuggle. What more can a mom ask for? I pray your son Matthew James is your joy. I have a nephew who has that exact name and he is a great man!
