The Synod has started....

I respect your position Fatima.

For me, when I here a Priest say he has a hard time talking about Dogma /Doctrine the hairs on my neck raise up!

Makes me wonder at Consecration if the Priest intends to do what the Church intends at Consecration? Im not judgeing,but by the fruits you will know!

 

Diocese of Winona, Minnesota. It is considered a liberal diocese, but there are a few pockets of orthodoxy.

 

Just want to add something....

A few Months ago on a Saturday afternoon event on EWTN. The Priest(forgot Fr name...sorry ) was talking about possession of a girl. She went to Mass and never had any demonic activity after receiving communion from her Parish Priest . Fr wondered ,how could this be, he said. During an exorcism the demon told FR only three people in the Church believed in the REAL Presence of Christ in the Sacred Host!

Very Scarry!.... Im not makin this up

"Pope Pius XI (whose motto was: Pax Christi in regno Christi) instituted the feast of Christ the King as a solemn affirmation of of Our Lord's Kingship over every human society; He is King not only of the soul and conscience, intelligence and will of all men, but also of families and cities, peoples and states and the whole universe. In his Encyclical Letter "Quas Primas" the pope showed how laicism or secularism, organising society without any reference to God, leads to the apostasy of the masses and the ruin of society, because it is a complete denial of Christ's Kingship. That Christ is the King over all creation is the theme of the whole mass and Office of the feast. The Mass begins with the magnificent Apocalyptic vision of the Lamb of God, sacrificed but henceforth glorified for ever, acclaimed by the innumerable host of Angels and Saints (Intr). By its position on the last Sunday of October, towards the end of the liturgical year, and just before All Saints, the feast of Christ the King comes as the climax of our celebrations of all Christ's mysteries, and a kind of earthly anticipation of his everlasting reign over the elect in the glory of heaven. It sums up the Christian message that by His Death and Resurrection Christ has conquered sin and death and reigns in the glory of His victory among the elect who are its fruit. Christ is the creative Word; He is the Man-God, seated at the right hand of the Father; He is our Saviour, These are His three titles to kingship."

Taken from the St Andrew Daily Missal with the imprimature of 1954 and endorsement of Archbishop Griffin of Westminster given in 1952 on the 30th April Feast of the Solemnity of St Joseph Patron of the Universal Church.

This is the King who Amy will receive on Sunday and who will present her to Our Heavenly Father as a fitting entrant to His Kingdom. A guest of honour indeed.

 

Amy, what a very Special day for you...never forget this day Amy. I still remember my first communion..
A little prayer you might say after receiving Jesus in Holy Communion...Mother Mary I offer you my First Communion for the Salvation of my soul and the souls in Purgatory.

That seems a little low...but i do think only about 10% truely believe. At least i know...i am one of them. But we do have a strong group of 6:30am daily saints. Theres about 40 of us...thats seems like a strong number. But overall im sure number is low.

 

Fr asked another question to the ewtn audience , I left it out on purpose. Who were the 3 believers?

Here is a shocking synod fact. In the "Instrumentum Laboris" which is the working document for the synod that the Vatican took a year putting together, contraception is not mentioned once. This is a document that is supposed to cover all of the issues facing the modern Catholic family. Very sad.

 

Praetorian, I think the majority of the Church and its leaders have surrendered this battle long ago. Sad to say.
