While the Storm clouds may be gathering, I sense real joy and anticipation in this country today. PETER is about to arrive in the USA! These will be important and blessed days as Christ's Vicar, the Servant of the Servants of God will be close by on our shores speaking to the flock in the US and the world. I am waiting with great anticipation. I pray for his safety and all those millions who will be in the throngs of crowds seeking him. May our ears, hearts , and minds be open to the message of Christ that his Vicar will impart on us! Today's Gospel is very appropriate as Pope Francis steps onto American soil: "The mother of Jesus and his brothers came to him but were unable to join him because of the crowd. He was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside and they wish to see you.” He said to them in reply, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and act on it.” " Welcome to Pope Francis, Successor to Peter! Let us be servants to one and other: And despite it all, despite our many, many sins as a nation, I pray that this visit re-awaken this nation and the words (most of the time you don't hear all the verses) ring true.
Miker I share your Great Joy... Papa will arrive in the hour of Mercy...wooo hooo, I feel the Holy Spirit and the little Flower in the hills of western PA!!! Don't know if anyone watched papa Francis talk to Families this afternoon? He opened with,Thank You for your warmth and making me feel at home Seconds later I thought what are first family/president will greet are papa with, agitaters....sighhh! Than a few minutes later I thought how the poor souls of our brethren in cuba greeted papa Francis compared to the mighty usa, will greet papa Francis.reminded me of David and Golieth in a way Lord have Mercy on us all! Prayers for you Miker and Family and ALL going to Philly... Want awesome food, Asian, Italian, Amish....Reading terminal, not far from 30th street station. Also get the philly pretzels, Philly pretzal factory in honor of our Lady undoer of Knots, for a short time will make a string of pretzel knots in honor of papa Francis devotion to our Lady....LOL Only in America Im making myself hungary I may have to drive out now...haha Safe travels to you all , may every Blessing in Heaven be upon you!!!! oh by the way...gotta have the Deli mustard, its a bit spicey but is soooo good on hot pretzels...ok im done now

America will have its 2nd male Saint later today. St John Nuemann is the only one so far ( Shrine in Philadelphia)
So glad papa is at St Mathews Cathedral for prayer, I was worried for Cardinal Wuerl. His smile all morning long I thought his cheeks were gonna crack.. Im so Happy to!!!
